Reacting to the news, the TV personality took to her Instagram account and shared a post with the caption, 'Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me… Only kidding, only kidding.' As for the reality TV star's other show, The Flip Off, where she appears as a co-host alongside Tarek and Heather, it has been renewed for a season two on the network. However, the filming date for the same is not yet revealed. Meanwhile, the trio in conversation with US Weekly said how they enjoyed working with each other. 'I've never shot with Heather, so I was like, 'What's that going to be like? Tarek and I have a playful banter; is she going to be jealous?'' Christina explained. 'It was like, 'Are we going to get along? Are we going to work well together?'' Heather added. Speaking of relationships, before getting together with Larocca, Christina was married twice, first to Tarek El Moussa and then to Ant Anstead.

OPEN// PM pledges full support for PPP's development projects
ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, July 14 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Monday reaffirmed his support for any partnership or joint effort involving the State, civil society and the private sector to implement development projects. This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of his visit to Alexandria Governorate to review the institutional preparations underway to integrate the coastal governorate into Egypt's Universal Health Insurance System. The meeting presented a proposed project to establish a healthcare network through cooperation between the governorate, an investment alliance, and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC). The meeting was attended by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif El Sherbini, Alexandria Governor Ahmed Khaled, Deputy Minister of Housing Sayed Ismail, Alexandria Deputy Governor Amira Salah Abdel Hakim, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction Mahmoud Nassar and President of FEDCOC Ahmed El Wakeel as well as board member Emad Abdel Wahab. During the meeting, businessman Ahmed Tarek gave a presentation on the project, which aims to establish a healthcare network in cooperation with the governorate, an investment alliance, and FEDCOC to facilitate Alexandria's integration into the universal insurance system. Tarek said the network seeks to restructure and develop Alexandria's healthcare system, creating the governorate's first large-scale, tech-enabled primary care network. It will comprise 70 smart digital clinics distributed across Alexandria, offering a fully integrated model of care, with investments exceeding EGP 1 billion to support primary, preventive, therapeutic, and diagnostic services and position Alexandria as a hub for medical tourism to Africa and the wider region. The project includes 70 comprehensive primary care units selected based on population density to ensure scientifically grounded coverage. Of these, 35 clinics will be fully financed and operated by the investment alliance led by Alexandria Governorate, Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, and a group of local investors to guarantee geographical fairness and inclusiveness. The remaining 35 clinics will be owned by groups of doctors (three to four doctors per clinic), enabling 100 to 150 Egyptian physicians to become partners in the national health transformation. Tarek said this model supports professional empowerment and broadens local ownership. It includes a contingency financing plan from the investment alliance to ensure continuity if any participating doctor encounters financial difficulties, preventing delays or gaps in implementation, he added. He outlined the network's core objectives: expanding access to healthcare across Alexandria through smart, accessible services, providing top-quality care via accredited smart facilities and teams trained under B well global standards, reducing costs through integration with the universal insurance system, and developing AI-driven systems for appointment booking, medical diagnostics, and clinical and administrative decision support. Tarek also highlighted the roles of key ministries, especially that of Health and Population, as well as the Alexandria Governorate and the Universal Health Insurance Authority, which are facilitating the project by providing technical and logistical support, local infrastructure, and health coverage data. The authority will also integrate beneficiaries under agreed frameworks, while the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology supplies essential AI applications. For his part, FEDCOC's Wakeel said the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is a core partner in this healthcare network, serving as a link between investors and government sectors to unite investment efforts behind a shared national vision for supporting healthcare. The chamber also offers data needed for successful investment decisions, ensuring sustainability for all stakeholders, he said. Wakeel noted that the new system guarantees comprehensive coverage for all private-sector workers, maximizing the mutual benefits of this new partnership model. He stressed that the project exemplifies fruitful cooperation among the State, civil society, and the private sector, and could be replicated in other governorates through local chambers of commerce. FEDCOC board member Emad Abdel Wahab said that success in Alexandria would accelerate integration of citizens across Egypt into the universal insurance system. The project, he stressed, is not merely infrastructure, it lays the foundation for a comprehensive national vision to shape Egypt's healthcare future, strengthens medical sector infrastructure, expedites Alexandria's inclusion in the insurance system, and empowers doctors through ownership and professional development. Also, he continued, it pioneers a shift in primary and secondary care using technology, data, and training, improving public health and reducing pressure on hospitals. Additionally, the initiative aims for direct economic returns by incorporating Egypt's informal health sector, expanding the tax base, and positioning Egypt as a regional medical tourism hub for African and Gulf patients, he said. It also offers a scalable strategic model to extend smart healthcare coverage nationwide, he added. Madbouli endorsed the proposal, announcing an immediate meeting to discuss its execution with Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. He pledged full support to ensure its success, requesting a realistic, clear implementation plan as soon as possible for review. Alexandria's governor said discussions have already begun with global technology companies to prepare the project's technical infrastructure. The governorate has also initiated early institutional and legislative measures, holding direct coordination meetings with the Universal Health Insurance Authority, which set standards the municipal authorities will be committed to meeting on time to ensure the highest quality and efficiency, he added. Lipton Egypt to invest EGP 100m in local market by 2026
Islam Tarek, Head of Marketing at Lipton Egypt—one of the world's largest tea companies—announced that the company will boost its investments in the Egyptian market to EGP 100m by 2026, marking a 20% increase compared to this year. This expansion comes as part of a wider strategy focused on ramping up production, increasing exports, and strengthening cooperation with the public sector. Tarek told Daily News Egypt that Lipton also plans to raise its supply of tea products to Egypt's Ministry of Supply by 5–7% in 2024. The Ministry currently accounts for over 15% of Lipton's sales in Egypt. In April, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk met with company officials to discuss collaboration with the Holding Company for Food Industries. The meeting addressed ways to enhance supply chains, boost distribution efficiency, and ensure the availability of high-quality products at affordable prices, while drawing on the expertise of global brands like Lipton. According to Tarek, Lipton aims to increase local production by 10% by the end of 2025 and by 15% in 2026, supported by growing domestic demand. Recent estimates show that nearly 99.8% of Egyptians drink tea regularly. Since 1996, Lipton Egypt has operated a factory in Borg El Arab, Alexandria, with an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons across various tea products—including black tea, green tea, herbal tea, and fruit-infused tea. The factory serves both the local market and several export markets, notably Sudan, along with other African and Arab countries. As part of its regional expansion strategy, the company targets a 15% increase in exports by 2025 and up to 25% in 2026. Tarek noted that Lipton holds over 50% of Egypt's single-serve tea bag market, maintaining its top position in this segment. Egypt remains the company's largest market in the region, followed by Saudi Arabia, which accounts for around 30% of its regional sales share. As part of efforts to cut costs and improve supply chain flexibility, Lipton began sourcing herbs such as hibiscus, anise, and mint locally starting in the third quarter of 2023. Tarek said local herb production officially launched in the fourth quarter of 2023, contributing to a 46% rise in herbal product output within a year through better integration of local and imported supplies. Although the herbal tea segment currently makes up only about 5% of Egypt's total tea market, it is viewed as a key growth area, driven by rising consumer interest in healthy and natural products. This shift offers Lipton significant potential to expand further in the herbal tea segment. Tarek added that the company does not expect further price increases until at least the end of 2025, following a 35% price hike in April last year due to currency fluctuations. Despite a 3% slowdown in the local tea market amid inflationary pressures, Lipton managed to grow production by 20% and expects market growth of around 2–3% by year-end. Currently, Lipton Egypt operates approximately 30 distribution centres and plans to expand this network soon. Alongside Egypt, markets including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Turkey together represent about 18% of Lipton's global sales. According to Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egyptians spent around EGP 13bn on tea in 2023. Separately, Menna El-Sharkas, General Manager of Lipton Egypt, previously noted that total annual tea sales in Egypt exceed EGP 30bn. It is also worth mentioning that in 2021, Unilever sold several of its tea brands—including Lipton and PG Tips—to CVC Capital Partners for approximately €4.5bn. The deal included operations in over 100 countries, excluding key markets like India and Indonesia.
