IT'S A STICK-UP: There are several stick-on solutions for quick fixes, from removable wallpaper to sticky tiles. Self-adhesive film can be used to update worktops and bathroom counters. With most designs coming in at less than £20 per square metre, a sticky fix can be both stylish and cheap. Peel-and-stick wall tiles from B&Q start at £6 for a pack of 24 blue azulejo Mediterranean-style tiles. THE ART OF THE HOME: Pictures and photos change the look of a home, but many landlords forbid tenants from even using wall hooks to hang the frames. Get around this by leaning framed art, photos and mirrors against the wall. It gives a relaxed vibe that you can switch around any time without leaving a mark. But that doesn't mean walls must stay bare. For small items you want at eye-level, use Command picture-hanging strips, £2.47 on Amazon, which stick to the back of the frame and attach to the wall.
