Jason Aldean's wife provides update on son Memphis after ‘long night in the ER'
Jason Aldean's son has a good sense of humor — even in an emergency room. The 48-year-old country music star shares two children — son Memphis, 7, and daughter Navy, 6, with his wife Brittany Aldean, whom he has been married to since March 2015, according to People. On July 16, Brittany Aldean shared an update on Memphis following his recent visit to the ER. 'Memphis is doing great. Thanks to all those checking in' she wrote in an Instagram Story over a photo of Memphis wearing a sling around his left arm. The update comes one day after Brittany Aldean revealed that Memphis broke his collarbone. 'It was a long night in the ER, but Memphis is ok. He fractured his collarbone and will be in a sling for a couple of weeks,' she wrote in an Instagram Story on July 15, per Taste of Country. 'Just rest and extra lovin', he'll be healed before we know it,' she added. Brittany Aldean later shared a video of her and her husband comforting their son as he was lying down in a hospital bed. 'How [are] you feeling, buddy? Do you feel better? I hope it's not broken, but I think maybe you're probably gonna have to get a little sling,' Jason Aldean said to his son, according to Parade. He then jokes that his son should tell his friends that he was wrestling alligators when the injury happened. According to Taste of Country, Memphis joked back and started to wonder how many alligators he could take on if he was healthy. Jason Aldean also playfully suggested his son tell his friends that he was getting jumped before beating everyone up. 'I'm not going to tell them that. They're definitely not going to believe me,' he replied, per Parade. Jason Aldean sparked controversy in 2012 when he was spotted 'getting cozy' with his future wife at a bar while he was still married to his then-wife Jessica Ussery, according to Us Weekly. The former couple divorced in 2013 and Jason Aldean's relationship with Brittany Aldean was confirmed by Us Weekly the following year. Jason and Brittany Aldean tied the knot in 2015 and welcomed Memphis in December 2017 — followed by Navy in 2019. On Dec. 1, Jason Aldean took to Instagram to celebrate his son's seventh birthday. '7 years with this little guy has been a blessing. Happy birthday lil man. Hope you have the best day ever! I love you so much buddy,' he wrote in the caption alongside old and current photos of Memphis. The following month, Jason Aldean took his son for a 'boys day' trip. 'Memphis crushed his first offshore trip! Had a blast with the boys on 'the bounty.' Thanks for making it a really cool day for him,' he wrote alongside a video of the father-son duo's fishing adventure. On May 11, Brittany Aldean posted photos of her family of four in honor of Mother's Day. 'It's the most challenging yet rewarding job in the world,' she wrote of motherhood in the caption. 'I hope everyone feels appreciated today and always.' As for Jason Aldean — he left a heartfelt message in the comment section. 'Happy Mother's Day babe. You are an AMAZING mama and we all love you so much,' he wrote.

Suffering from Brugada syndrome, Ashley Cooke releases new song 'the hell you are'; what's the rare genetic disorder the country singer has been diagnosed with
Rising country music star Ashley Cooke has released her latest single, 'the hell you are, ' a powerful breakup anthem, just days after revealing she's been diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening heart condition called Brugada syndrome . The 28-year-old singer, who rose to national recognition with her 2023 debut album 'Shot in the Dark', opened up about her diagnosis in a July 13 interview with Taste of Country, describing the condition as 'terrifying.' 'That's the scary part of Brugada syndrome,' Cooke said. 'It just feels like a ghost around you. Because there's no warning signs, no symptoms. It's just one of those things where all of a sudden one day, this certain thing in your heart can just stop, and you're just gone.' What is Brugada syndrome? It is a genetic disorder that causes the heart's lower chambers to beat irregularly, sometimes leading to sudden cardiac arrest , particularly during sleep. According to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, it affects approximately 5 in 10,000 people. Often undetected until a cardiac episode occurs, the condition is diagnosed through a specialized EKG and sometimes treated with implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) in high-risk cases. Live Events Cooke shared that multiple members of her family have died unexpectedly due to the condition. Her own diagnosis came amid a tumultuous year when her mother recently suffered a heart attack and was readmitted for chest pains, her father has battled cancer five times, and both grandmothers passed away in recent months. 'All this happened while I was on tour,' she said in a TikTok video posted July 7. 'Like, amazing career year, and terrible personal life year.' Cooke channeled her emotion into 'the hell you are,' an emotionally-charged song co-written with Seth Ennis, Joe Fox, Chase McGill, and Emily Weisband, and produced by country hitmaker Dan Huff. 'This song is that moment of clarity when you finally put your foot down on what you deserve,' Cooke said in a statement. 'It's calling someone out for their actions not matching their words and deciding to be done believing that it'll be different this time.' The music video visually mirrors that emotional upheaval, starting with her preparing a romantic dinner and ending in destruction after discovering betrayal. She is currently on tour with Parker McCollum , with shows lined up through November 2025.

File Photo by John Angelillo | License Photo July 11 (UPI) -- Miranda Lambert is teaming up with Chris Stapleton on new music. The country music singers released the single "A Song to Sing" and its lyric video Friday. "I want you to know, you are a part of me, baby, you're the heart of me," they sing. "Together we can write a song to sing." The song was inspired in part by Stapleton's relationship with his wife and collaborator, Morgane Stapleton. "Chris understands this emotion from the inside out, because he and Morgane have both lived it. To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life -- and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level," Lambert said, per Taste of Country. Lambert and Stapleton previously collaborated on Stapleton's "What Am I Gonna Do," and both are currently touring. Sam Hunt is a dad again
Sam Hunt and Hannah Lee Fowler have become parents for the third time. The Hard to Forget hitmaker and his wife quietly welcomed son Weyman Allen Hunt - a brother for Lucy, three, and two-year-old Lowry - into the world on May 21, and the 40-year-old singer admitted the newborn is already very different to his older sisters. He told Taste of Country: 'They're good. A little sleep deprived. Our most recent child got here in May, so he's finally starting to sleep a little better. 'We got spoiled with the first two. They were fairly easy. But Weyman, my third one, he likes to beat to his own drum, I guess you could say.' Although the couple announced the births of their daughters on their own social media accounts, this time around the happy news went largely unnoticed because the couple teamed up with Cedartown First Methodist Church to reveal Weyman had been born. A post on the church's Facebook page on 27 May read: "It's a Boy! "Hannah + Sam Hunt announce the birth of their son, Weyman Allen Hunt, born May 21st, weighing 8lbs 6oz, and 20 1/2 in. long. The proud grandparents are Joan + Allen Hunt. "Congratulations to the entire Hunt Family!(sic) The Body Like a Back Road singer admitted in November that he was keen to take a break from touring when his kids are a little bit older and will be unable to join him on the road because of school commitments. He told Audacy's Katie and Company podcast: 'I'm hopefully, in the next couple years, going to take a break from touring. 'The crowds have been so great and I want to get out there and tour while my kids are really young and they're able to come with me. And while people are interested in coming to see us because I don't want to take that for granted.' Back in February 2022, Hannah filed for divorce and accused the Take Your Time singer of "inappropriate marital" behaviour and adultery. She declared Sam was "guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment or conduct toward the spouse as renders cohabitation unsafe or improper'. She added: "All hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.' But she sparked confusion as she withdrew the petition just hours later, only to refile in a different county in Tennessee after getting the jurisdiction wrong. Two months later, Hannah asked the court to dismiss the case and Sam was spotted wearing his wedding ring again.

Controversial Country Star Makes Bold Statement About 'A Wife's Job'
Controversial Country Star Makes Bold Statement About 'A Wife's Job' originally appeared on Parade. A country star who has found himself at the center of some controversies in recent years made a bold statement about what "a wife's job" is around the house. In a recent interview with Taste of Country, country star got to talking about what it's like at home when he's not on tour. While it sounds like he definitely pitches in around the house, it also sounds like his "wife's job" is to keep him busy with a honey-do list. "[Brittany] gets on Amazon and orders all this stuff, and it comes to the house and I'm like, 'What is this?' and she goes, 'Oh, we're gonna redo Navy's room,' and I'm like, 'Oh, "we are"? OK, cool,'' said added, "That's kind of a wife's job. If they just see you chilling, doing nothing, watching baseball or whatever, they're like, 'Hey, you should help me do this!' 'OK, here we go,'" the country star said wryly, adding that he's "gotta get back to work" so he can get a break from all that. "I've been off the road for about six months, and I am itching to get back after it," said Aldean. The Taste of Country host followed up by joking, "When's the last time Jason Aldean did a load of laundry?", and Aldean said that he helps with that kind of thing all the time. "Probably yesterday! Yeah, you know, we kind of tag-team that up. If she does it, she'll bring it in, I'll fold it or whatever. I pitch in around the house and help out," said the married Brittany Kerr in 2015. They met in 2012 when photos of them surfaced canoodling at a bar, and he was forced to issue an apology for "acting inappropriately" because at the time, he was married to his first wife, Jessica Ann Ussery. Ussery and Aldean separated a few months later, and Kerr and Aldean made their first public appearance as a couple in 2014 before marrying a year later. Aldean has two daughters from his first marriage, Keeley, 22, and Kendyl, 17, and a son, Memphis, 7, and a daughter, Navy, 6, from his second marriage. The singer has never been a stranger to controversy, from his second wife posting a video with transphobic comments that caused his public relations firm The GreenRoom to part ways with him after 17 years, to his "Try That in a Small Town" song, the video for which was pulled from CMT because of backlash over its lyrics about guns, violence and what some deemed coded references to lynching. Aldean was famously performing on stage during the 2017 mass shooting at his Las Vegas concert that killed 60 people. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Controversial Country Star Makes Bold Statement About 'A Wife's Job' first appeared on Parade on Jun 10, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 10, 2025, where it first appeared.
