Tata Motors global wholesales drops 9% YoY in Q1
Tata Motors's global wholesales (including Jaguar Land Rover) fell 9% to 2,99,664 units in Q1 FY26 compared with Q1 FY25. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in Q1 FY26 stood at 87,569 units, registering the de-growth of 6%, over Q1 FY25. Global wholesales of Tata Motors passenger vehicles in the June 2025 quarter were at 1,24,809 units, down 10% on a YoY basis. Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover declined 11% to 87,286 vehicles compared with Q1 FY25. Jaguar wholesales for the quarter were 2,339 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the quarter were 84,947 vehicles. Tata Motors, part of the Tata Group, is a global automobile manufacturer of cars, utility vehicles, pickups, trucks, and buses. The company's consolidated net profit declined 49.6% to Rs 8,470 crore on 0.5% rise in net sales to Rs 1,18,927 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24. The counter shed 0.15% to Rs 691.90 on the BSE.

Tata Motors global wholesales decline 9% in Q1 FY26 amid softer demand
Tata Motors Group reported a decline of 9 per cent in global wholesales for the first quarter of FY26, with total deliveries, including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), standing at 2,99,664 units. The drop in volumes was seen across commercial and passenger vehicle segments, in both domestic and international markets . Global wholesales of Tata Motors' commercial vehicles, including the Tata Daewoo range, came in at 87,569 units during the April–June 2025 period, marking a 6 per cent year-on-year decline. The passenger vehicle business, which includes Tata's electric and internal combustion engine offerings, also witnessed a 10 per cent drop, with global wholesales touching 1,24,809 units in Q1 FY26. JLR's performance Jaguar Land Rover , the UK-based premium arm of Tata Motors, recorded global wholesales of 87,286 units, down 11 per cent from the year-ago quarter. Within this, Jaguar contributed 2,339 units, while Land Rover accounted for the bulk with 84,947 units. The overall dip in volumes is reflective of softening global demand , planned transitions in product line-ups, and supply chain recalibrations across key markets. Tata Motors is expected to share detailed performance metrics, including financials, later this quarter.

During the session, the stock touched a high of ₹696.95 and dipped to an intraday low of ₹687.50. Tata Motors on Tuesday reported a 9 per cent dip in total global sales to 2,99,664 units in the June quarter . The company had sold 3,29,847 units in the April-June quarter of FY25. Global wholesales of passenger vehicles were lower by 10 per cent year-on-year at 1,24,809 units in the first quarter, Tata Motors said in a statement.
