WWE NXT results and highlights (7/1/25)— Yoshiki Inamura qualifies for NXT Championship and more

NXT 7/1 was held at the
WWE
Performance Center in Orlando, Pennsylvania. The event was aired on CW. Oba Femi got a new challenger for the NXT Championship. Other major highlights include Luca Criscifino punching his way out of the D'Angelo Family, Izzi Dam and Tatum Paxley taking out the best tag team in all of NXT and others.

TNA's Joe Hendry vs. Wes Lee
WWE NXT 7/1 kicked off with a clash between
Joe Hendry and Wes Lee
. Both wrestlers landed strikes on each other. Lee, towards the end, was assisted by the other High Ryze members, Tyreik Igwe and Tyson Dupont. However, Mike Santana appeared out of nowhere to pull both men out of the ring.
This allowed Hendry to land the standing ovation on Lee. After the win, both Santana and Hendry eyed Trick Williams, who holds the TNA World Championship.
Trick will now defend the title against both Santana and Hendry at TNA Slammiversary.

: Joe Hendry defeated Wes Lee
Myles Borne vs Lexis King
Lexis King left no stone unturned to mock Myles Borne. During the match, the Brash King even taunted Borne's guests for the evening. The match was attended by Florida Gator football players George Gumbs Jr. and Tyreak Sapp. Borne gave a fitting reply to the mockery. Towards the end, he hit a crushing Neckbreaker on King and secured a win.

: Myles Borne slams Lexis King with a Neckbreaker
Lainey Reid vs Thea Hail
Both Lainey Reid and Thea Hail showcased some highly energised skills during the match. The match kicked off with a moonsault from Hail. However, Reid overcame the attack with a German Suplex, combined with a back elbow and a shoulder breaker. Reid ended the match by a pinfall with a knee strike and a hand on the ropes.

: Lainey Reid secures the biggest win of her career
Tag Team: Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley vs Sol Ruca & Zaria
Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley defeated one of the best tag teams in all of
NXT.
The match started with Ruca and Paxley facing each other.
Soon, Izzi and Zaria, too, joined the ring. Even though Ruca and Zaria dominated the ring initially, Paxley's quick interference took the match to the latter's favor. At one point, Paxley knocked Zaria out of the ring. This allowed Dame to pull off a huge Sitout Spinebuster and secure a win.

: Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley won the match
No. 1 Contender Match—Yoshiki Inamura vs. Jasper Troy
Yoshiki Inamura faced the winner of LFG Season one Jasper Troy. Both wrestlers displayed their strength and skills throughout the match.
However, Yoshiki managed to overcome the attacks from Troy. Towards the end, Yoshiki hit a huge powerslam and nailed his signature diving slam at Troy.
Result
: Yoshiki secured the win and became the new challenger for the NXT Championship. He will be facing Oba Femi at the Great American Bash. The event will take place at Atlanta on July 12, 2025.

Apart from the notable wins, Luca Crusifino makes an appearance. The wrestler confronted Tony D'Angelo for questioning the former's loyalty. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo makes an appearance as well. In a heated conversation between the trio, Luca knocks both Stacks and D'Angelo to the ground. Crusifino leaves the rin, stating that his loyalty lies only to himself.
