Chandi Kubera Pasupathi Yagam Enters Second Day with Grand Spiritual Ceremonies in Kacheguda
Gadwal: The sacred Chandi Kubera Pasupathi Yagam continued for the second day Kachiguda drawing large crowds of devotees and notable dignitaries. The event is being held under the leadership of district president and selected committee member Chakravarti Charyulu, and is aimed at promoting spiritual harmony, prosperity, and divine blessings for all. Joining the celebrations were several key figures from across the state. Vasudeva Sharma, the State President, participated in the rituals alongside Lakshmikantacharyulu and Mahesh, the President and Secretary of the Tapala Wanaparthy District unit, respectively. Their presence marked the spiritual depth and organizational strength behind the event. The yagam was further elevated by the participation of distinguished political leaders. Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham and BC Political Chairman Rachala Yugender attended as chief guests, offering their blessings and highlighting the importance of preserving traditional Vedic practices. Also in attendance were Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy, Minister Sridhar Babu, and other prominent public figures, reflecting the wide support the event has garnered from various sectors of society. Day two of the yagam featured powerful Vedic rituals such as Rudram, Namakam, Chamakam, Rudrabhishekam, and culminated with the Chandi Kubera Yagam, all performed with utmost devotion and adherence to tradition. The final day of the event will be held tomorrow, featuring the Pasupathi Yagam. Khammam District Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is scheduled to attend as the chief guest, further enhancing the significance of the closing ceremonies. This grand spiritual gathering has become a symbol of cultural and religious unity in the region, offering devotees a powerful platform for collective prayer and divine connection.

Govt pledges full support for sports programmes
Hyderabad: Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shiva Sena Reddy announced on Sunday that the Telangana government would provide comprehensive support to sports programmes organised by various sports associations across the state. Speaking as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the 24th Junior National Wushu Championship-2025, held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Mr Reddy extended his congratulations to Telangana Wushu Association President Prem Raj and General Secretary Abdul Omar for the successful organisation of the Wushu National Championship. Following his address, the Chairman, alongside MD Soni Soni Baladevi, presented medals to the victorious athletes. Telangana achieved a notable haul of 25 medals in the championship, comprising one gold, two silver, and 22 bronze medals. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Wushu Federation of India CEO Sohail Ahmed, Vice Presidents Manish Takkar and P Azad, Technical Director Shambhu Shetty, EC Member Shabbir, Telangana Wushu Association President S R Prem Raj, General Secretary Abdul Omar, and Joint Secretary R Koteshwar, among others.

‘Stadiums, arenas in state buzzing due to govt's sports-friendly policies'
Hyderabad: Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivsena Reddy on Sunday said that all sports fields in the state were buzzing with sporting events due to the sports promotion policies being implemented by the Telangana state government. The Sports Authority Chairman participated as the chief guest in the 'Fit Formula Swimming Championship – 2025' held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Sunday and presented awards to the winners. Speaking on this occasion, Shivsena Reddy said that the Telangana state government led by Revanth Reddy was giving high priority to sports and all sports fields in the state are buzzing with sports events. 'Telangana Sports Authority fully cooperates with various sports associations and private organisations in conducting sports events, which will create a good sports atmosphere in Telangana with various sports competitions,' he said. Organisers Kumar Vinod Paswan and others participated in the swimming competition. Freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke events were held in this competition, in which around 200 swimmers participated. Avya was declared the Player of the Match in the under-8 girls category, while Kolla Tarak won in the boys category. In the under-10 girls category, Bansiwal, and in the boys category, Siddharth, won the Player of the Match award. In the under-12 girls category, Krisha, and in the boys category, Kethan Nischithan, won the award. In the under-14 girls category, Kongara Sindhu, and in the boys category, Arjun Kaswan, won the award. In the under-16 girls category, Ritika, and in the boys category, Sohan, won the award. Sohan won the under-18 boys category. Sports Authority Chairman Shivsena Reddy presented awards to all of them.
