In the wild wild west, a tiger will roar as Hridhu Haroon's next is titled Texas Tiger. The film is directed by Selvah Kumar Thirumaaran, who has previously directed the 2024 film Family Padam. Starring Udhay Karthik, Vivek Prasanna, Subiksha Kayarohanam, Mohana Sundaram, and Sreeja Ravi, among others, Family Padam was a comedy drama about three brothers who struggles to achieve their dreams beyond significant challenges.

Hridhu Haroon's next titled ‘Texas Tiger'; first-look teaser out
Actor Hridhu Haroon, best known for starring in the critically acclaimed All We Imagine As Lightand the Malayalam film Mura, is making his Tamil debut with a film titled Texas Tiger. The film is directed by Selvah Kumar Thirukumaran, who helmed the 2024 film Family Padam. The makers unveiled a first-look teaser of Texas Tiger on Haroon's birthday on Sunday (June 29) to announce the news. The teaser introduces the actor as the titular character, a controversial rapper whose work seems to have divided the audience. While a protest erupts against the singer for his 'vulgar' lyrics, we also see some hardcore fans, called 'Tigerians,' defending him. 'Look, he must have gotten scared after seeing these protests,' chides a policeman, after which Texas Tiger makes a superb entrance from an auto rickshaw, akin to superstar Vijay's entry in 2021's Master. The rapper makes his way through the crowd in style and climbs atop a police van. When a protester throws a garland of slippers at him, he wears it around his neck, surprising both the angry protesters and his fans. Other details regarding the rest of the cast remain unknown at the moment. With music scored by Osho Venkat, the film has cinematography by Meiyyendiran and editing by Sudharshan. Balaji Kumar, Parthi Kumar, Sujith and director Selvah produce the film under their UK Squad banner.

Texas Tiger teaser OUT: Upcoming Kollywood film 'Texas Tiger,' featuring 'All We Imagine As Light' actor Hridhu Haroon, is in the spotlight after its filmmakers dropped its teaser on June 29. The official title reveal video was released on the occasion of Hridhu Haroon's 23rd birthday. Selvah Kumar Thirumaran directorial movie is produced by Sujith, Balaji Kumar, Parthi Kumar and Selvah Kumar. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel in a post on X stated, 'Texas Tiger - the upcoming Tamil film headlined by All We Imagine As Light star #HridhuHaroon — has been officially announced with a title reveal video, unveiled on the occasion of the actor's birthday.' He added, 'The film is written and directed by #SelvahKumarThirumaran, known for Family Padam, and produced by #Sujith, #BalajiKumar, #ParthiKumar, and Selvah Kumar himself.' The trailer ends with the caption, 'Tigerians roar begins.' Born in 2002, Hridhu made his acting debut in August 2022 with Crash Course on Amazon Prime. Hridhu, who previously starred in films like Mura, Mumbaikar, Thugs, and the critically acclaimed All We Imagine as Light, has a number of films in the pipeline. Upcoming films of Hridhu Haroon include Bad Girl, Veera Dheera Sooran and Maine Pyar Kiya. He will also feature in Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead, which is scheduled to release around Diwali festival. Payal Kapadia directorial Malayalam film 'All We Imagine as Light' won the prestigious Grand Prix award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The film made its world premiere on 23 May 2024 at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and became the first Indian film in 30 years to compete in the competition. 'All We Imagine As Light' began streaming on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar from January 3 onwards and is also available on Amazon Prime.
