Robbie Williams puts Noel Gallagher feud aside as he sends message to Oasis
The Gallagher brothers are sending the UK back to the 90s ahead of their reunion tour as pop legends Robbie Williams and the Spice girls come out to support the reunion tour Oasis fever is spreading around the UK once again as the hype builds before the Gallagher brothers finally take to the stage together later today. Having not graced the same stage in more than 15 years, the 75,000 fans lucky enough to get a ticket for Cardiff's Principality Stadium will be expecting big things – especially those who forked out a hefty sum through a resale who were hit with dynamic pricing hikes. Although Liam and Noel are probably the last musicians you'd thought would get nervous, that hasn't stopped some of the biggest artists of the prime Britpop era from reaching out to the band wishing them luck on the worldwide tour. Two icons leading the floods of celeb support are Robbie Williams and The Spice Girls. The former Take That star has revealed a fake blue plaque style graphic on Berwick Street in London's Soho, the setting for the band's iconic (What's The Story) Morning Glory? album cover. Posting to his Instagram earlier today, the plaque says: " Robbie Williams - heard it, saw it, loved it, lived it, wanted it and snorted it ... That's The Story." Robbie posted the image alongside a snap of two blurred out faces stood down the famous street to recreate the iconic album cover – this time the duo were in black and red tracksuits. As he shared the snaps, Robbie wished the brothers well as he wrote in the caption "GOOD LUCK TONIGHT LADS @oasis". Although today's stunt wasn't the first time the singer has spoken about the brother's tour. In an interview last year with NME, Robbie added: 'The soap opera alone will either be exciting and or ghoulish to watch. As for the shows? They're gonna be incredible, off-the-scale special.' The Rock DJ singer was seemingly inspired to bury the hatchet like the Gallagher brothers after his long-running feud with Noel after a comment where he referred to Robbie as "the fat dancer from Take That', which led to the pop star challenging Liam to a scrap during the Brits. Britpop fever seems to be coming back for a second round, with Williams' upcoming album, ' Britpop ' set to pay homage to the golden era of British music. But it's not just Robbie who's wishing the brothers luck ahead of tonight's gig with girl group superstars the Spice Girls also posting to Instagram. Reposting the classic 1997 Brit awards moment where Mel C shouted on stage "I just wanna say, Liam, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!" – writing on top of the clip, the band's official Instagram account teased: "Still waiting @liamgallagher. Good luck with the tour boys." The boys are in for a jam-packed six months, with the tour taking them everywhere from Mexico City to Tokyo, although perhaps their most anticipated gig will be their third date as they return to Manchester in front of a sell-out crowd at Heaton Park.

Sharing a photo of the plaque online, Robbie tagged the band and added: 'GOOD LUCK TONIGHT LADS.' He also recreated the album's famous artwork - wearing the same red tracksuit he wore at Glastonbury in 1995, when he famously partied with the Gallaghers during Britpop's wildest days. read more on ROBBIE Williams That same outfit features on the cover of his upcoming album Britpop, which documents his chaotic rise during the '90s. Robbie's rivalry with the Gallaghers dates back to the peak of the Britpop era, when Noel famously dismissed him as 'the fat dancer from Take That'. Robbie later challenged Liam to a £100,000 boxing match live on stage at the 2000 BRIT Awards. Despite that, he's been vocal in recent years about his admiration for the band. Most read in Music Speaking in 2023, he said: 'I don't think anyone could compete with that – including Taylor Swift, who's the biggest artist on this planet. "So no, it's not a competition, even though it bloody is.' Robbie Williams Nears Knighthood After Years of Music & Charity Asked in May by "I'm a wonderful agoraphobe, and a very happy agoraphobe.' He's also been clear about how powerful the reunion could be, telling fans: 'The soap opera alone will either be exciting and or ghoulish to watch. As for the shows? They're gonna be incredible, off-the-scale special.' He called Liam 'charismatic' and praised the return as a 'healing moment for our country', before adding with a smirk: 'Noel will be there too.' In 2022, Robbie labelled the brothers 'gigantic bullies' but added: 'I'm still a huge fan.' Liam later responded: 'I've never bullied anyone in my life. I'm a massive piss taker for sure and probably gone a little too far sometimes, but if I've ever hurt anyone's feelings I apologise.' Oasis, who clocked up over 70 million record sales worldwide after forming in Manchester in 1991, split in 2009 following a fall out between the brothers. They will perform together tonight in Cardiff for the first time in 16 years in front of 74,500 fans. Following huge shows there tonight and tomorrow, Oasis will take a short break before kicking off their run of shows at Heaton Park in Manchester on July 11.
