The Bold and the Beautiful's Miracle Feat: Converting Sheila from Psycho to Savior
There was a time when Sheila was the most feared and hated character on The Bold and the Beautiful, and for good reason. Her crazy past and litany of crimes—from kidnapping, blackmail, and murder to shooting Finn and Steffy and leaving them for dead—have been absolutely horrific. But over the past two years, the show's writers have pulled off the impossible—a downright miracle feat, converting Sheila from psycho to savior. It all started when Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) fell for Deacon (Sean Kanan). The love of the reformed ex-con, who's worked hard to change his own image and reputation, has helped guide her down a path of respectability. She's no longer consumed with revenge and scheming. Instead, Sheila has been walking the straight and narrow, working a steady job at Il Giardino, and, above all, adhering to Finn's (Tanner Novlan) request to steer clear of him and his family despite her deep desire to be a part of it. MORE: See a peek at what happens this week on B&B. Along the way, Sheila's bonded with her deeply troubled granddaughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), but not as a partner in crime. The new, improved Sheila has actually done everything possible to be a positive influence on Luna. She's worked hard to steer the wayward young woman in the right direction, urging her to let go of her obsession with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who she blames for keeping her from her father, Finn. Sheila's even encouraged Luna to leave town to start a new life and get away from the triggers that could ultimately send her back to prison. WATCH THIS: Check out Soap Hub's new podcast, Soap Hub Says, here! The final chapter in Sheila's transformation from psycho to savior couldn't have played out any better. Upon learning that Luna had a gun from Remy (Christian Weissmann) and recalling her threats to get rid of Steffy and promising that she was going 'to go out with a bang,' Sheila sprung into action. Unable to reach Finn, who was ignoring her texts, Sheila arrived at her son's home desperate to save his wife and warned Taylor (Rebecca Budig) that Steffy was in danger. After learning that Steffy had been summoned to Hayes' beach school and was having issues with a new 'teacher' named Miss Sunshine, Sheila's curiosity piqued. Finding the origami that Hayes had made in class, containing a picture of the sun, a broken heart, and a moon (hello, Luna), Sheila put two and two together and raced to the school. Suddenly, the woman who once considered Steffy her nemesis was riding to her rescue. When Luna pointed a gun at Steffy, Sheila pleaded with her to put the weapon down, but Luna remained undeterred. Having no other choice, Shelia tried to wrangle the gun away from her, only to be shot in the process. It was the final step in Sheila's mind-blowing transformation from psycho to savior. She selflessly put her own life on the line to spare Steffy. Now all Sheila can do is hope that her courageous move might finally open the door for Finn and Steffy to let her into their lives. Was Luna Born Bad? Why She's Not a B&B Villain in the Making
Li and Finn brought up an interesting point about Luna on The Bold and the Beautiful. She's not bad; she was spawned that way—or so that's what they said. Luna claims she's a product of her environment. She blames her mom for not giving her the stable upbringing she craved. She also blames Steffy for not having a relationship with her father. So, is Luna really a bad person? When Luna (Lisa Yamada) first hit the scene, she seemed like a good girl. Almost too good. She wanted to work with Forrester Creations, especially since she was smitten with RJ (Joshua Hoffman). Then, we learned her backstory. She desperately wanted to know who her biological father was. Luna blamed her mom for her poor upbringing, even though her mom did the best she could. READ THIS: Converting Sheila from psycho to savior. But then, we got to see a different side to Luna. Surprise, surprise! She wasn't the sickly sweet girl who was in love with RJ. Luna was the cold-blooded murderer who cheated on RJ with Zende (Delon De Metz). She made it look like she was drugged by her mom's crazy mints and fell into bed with them. Luna had us fooled. She made us think that she was a good girl who had daddy issues. But she turned out to be a villain in training. Luna knew how to kill, and didn't blink when she did. She could probably do it in her sleep. But was she born bad? Or was she taken down a dark path? Li (Naomi Matsuda) doesn't believe that Luna was born bad. She believes that there's still some hope for her, but only if she gets the help she needs. Li still thinks Poppy (Romy Park) should be blamed for the way her daughter turned out. However, Luna still needs to learn how to take accountability for her actions. That's what got her into this problem in the first place. WATCH THIS: Check out SoapHub's new podcast, Soap Hub Says here! Luna keeps blaming Steffy for the way her life turned out. What Luna doesn't realize is that Finn (Tanner Novlan) doesn't want her in his life because she causes harm to his family. Luna wasn't born a villain. It's her deranged mind that made her this way. As we already know, this will have deadly results. What are your thoughts? Do you think Luna was born bad? Or do you think there's hope for her? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Got a sizzling fan theory? Email amber@ — yours could be our next hot topic!

Four months after Beyond the Gates made history on CBS, the soap is taking a week-long break from new episodes. CBS has opted to re-air the premiere week episodes of Beyond the Gates during the Fourth of July holiday week. However, The Young and the Restlessand The Bold and the Beautiful will have a full week of new episodes, even on Friday, July 4. As Parade reported, Beyond the Gates creator Michele Val Jean spoke out on the subject but gave very little insight into the media was on fire after news broke that Beyond the Gates will air reruns while Bold and Y&R air new shows. Fans took to X to take aim at CBS over the decision. '@CBS WHAT is wrong with y'all, seriously? Why can't the hour ever be 12:30-1:30? No one cares about #YR anymore anyway! 🤬😡#BeyondTheGates,' read an X. Another X declared, '#yr and #boldandbeautiful don't get preempted @cbs but come black soap #beyondthegates get repeat not fair at all cbs.' A different fan wrote on X, 'Y&R and B&B airing new episodes next week but #BeyondTheGates airing repeats isn't sitting right in my spirit.' One fan asked, 'Peeps let me at holler at yall. Since CBS playing in our faces are we watching YR and BB next week or nah #BeyondTheGates.' 'I'm irritated as H--L that #BeyondTheGates isn't new next week, but Friday's a holiday and it's summertime. This is actually the perfect time reel in some new viewers with repairing premiere week. '#BeyondTheGates I'm still not understanding next week's preemption. It's not like they're preempting for something like March Madness or the Olympics. I am confusion,' read an X.
