'The Clash': Tombi Romulo thankful for a second chance at the singing competition
Tombi Romulo is the latest hopeful to get eliminated on 'The Clash 2025,' but she remains thankful for the opportunity. In an interview with GMA News Online, the Cavite native said she is she gave her best. 'Actually 'pag nanalo ka, bonus na lang 'yun eh,' Tombi said. Tombi competed in 'The Clash' Season 2, and returned as a Clashbacker to redeem herself from the loss. In the previous season, Tombi was unable to sing properly because she was sick. 'Ang gusto ko lang po, maitawid ko 'yung piyesa ko nang maayos para ma-redeem ko po 'yung sarili ko sa nangyari before,' Tombi said. She added, 'Happy pa rin ako. Pasalamatan ko pa rin sila direk. Direk, thank you so much kasi kung hindi dahil sa inyo, wala ulit ako dito sa 'The Clash.' Thankful pa din.' Tombi said she is leaving the competition with lots of lessons learned, like how to bond with the Clashbackers, New Clashers, and the staff. ''Yung lesson po kasi na naranasan ko doon is kailangan palaging matulog nang maayos, ingatan 'yung health. Kasi kapag may sakit ang katawan, ang hirap. 'Pag may sakit, ng hirap mong kumanta,' she said. 'Pinaka best na ano ko pa rin 'tong 'The Clash 2025' kasi parang ang saya to be back.' 'Sobrang happy and thankful ako na isa ako sa mga napili na ituloy 'yung journey ko na nasimulan ko before.' Tombi also looked back on the challenges she experienced this season, and said it was as if she was competing for the first time again. 'Kasi ilang years na po, nagbago na po. Tapos may new Clashers pa na magagaling so nakaka-pressure,' she said, and added that this season had so many twists. Meanwhile, one of her biggest achievements was winning Round 1 when she beat out Jeniffer Maravilla. 'Biggest achievement po sa 'kin itong piyesa ko, maitawid ko nang maayos. Eh sobra sobra pa 'yung binigay ni God, nanalo pa po 'ko." On social media following her elimination, Tombi said "nagtapos man ang journey ko sa The Clash, mananatili pa din akong palaban 'di lang sa contest, pati sa mga hamon sa buhay." If Tombi would have won, she said the first thing she would do is to thank the Lord and go to church. She also would use the prize money to start businesses. In a previous interview, Tombi described her 'The Clash' journey through the song 'Patuloy ang Pangarap' by Angeline Quinto, because she was given a second chance as a Clashbacker, to pursue her dreams, and redeem her loss from Season 2. 'The Clash' airs at 7:15 p.m. on Sundays on GMA Network. —JCB, GMA Integrated News

Bea Sacramento exits 'The Clash' but says she will not stop singing
Baguio City Clashbacker Bea Sacramento has become the latest hopeful to leave 'The Clash.' As her 'The Clash' journey ends once again, Bea admitted she was sad, but 'that doesn't mean na titigil nanaman ako. Hindi.' Bea cited judge Christian Bautista's comment to a fellow contestant about how 'Sa lahat ng bagay, may competition palagi, so kailangan ready ako.' 'Thank you pa rin kasi ang laking opportunity nito para sa 'kin," Bea said. "At least, na-i-showcase ko sa lahat na ito na 'yung Bea na inaabangan ng lahat. Ito na 'yung Bea na more character, ibang iba sa dati.' Bea previously competed in Season 1 but was eliminated early. The livestreamer and band singer is aware she made a lot of people happy with her second stint on 'The Clash,' which makes her thankful for the opportunity. 'Hindi mo kailangan matawag na grand champion sa competition para lang matawag na success ka,' she said. 'You can be successful in other ways.' Looking back, Bea said she had to prepare a lot because the new clashers and Clashbackers were all so great. 'Hindi pwedeng lalamya-lamya ka kasi puksaan pala talaga dito sa 'The Clash.' 'Yan 'yung mga na-realize ko before ako sumali this season kaya talagang nag-prepare din ako nang bongga.' She added, 'Takot ako nung Season 1 kasi ang dami talagang magagaling. But years later, and during her time on 'The Clash 2025,' Bea had learned so much more about singing that she was able to develop her own style. 'Kaya nung babalik akong 'The Clash,' finally, makikita nila 'yung bagong Bea.' Bea said her biggest achievement was making her supporters happy. 'Nung Round 1, [naisip ko] sana talaga manalo ako kasi ayokong masayang 'yung pagpunta nila, 'yung pag-suporta nila sa 'kin kasi syempre galing pa silang Baguio,' she said. In a previous interview with GMA News Online, she compared her "The Clash" experience to Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing.' 'Ako, naniniwala ako na, hindi lang ayun 'yung kaya kong gawin," she said. "Naniniwala pa rin ako sa sarili ko na I can do more.' Following her exit, Bea took to social media to thank "The Clash" for the opportunity. "No regrets on joining this competition again. Mahal ko kayong lahat, maraming salamat sa mga sumuporta," she added. 'The Clash' airs at 7:15 p.m. on Sundays only on GMA Network. —JCB/LA, GMA Integrated News

Passion, courage fuel Cotabato's Adelle Yu's ‘The Clash' hopes
'What keeps me inspired? Singing.' When earlier asked about her edge in 'The Clash 2025,' new clasher Adelle Yu of Cotabato City had a three-word response: 'experience, tatag ng loob, at puso.' In a conversation with GMA Regional TV News, the 35-year-old Cotabateño elaborated on this three-word response, explaining in detail why even after many life setbacks and competition losses, she persists to move forward as the singer that she aspires to be. 'Pag hindi matatag ang loob mo, hindi rin tatatag yung puso mo. So dahil sa mga experiences ko, naging dahilan yun para hindi ako huminto,' she said, pertaining to what she described as an uneventful childhood and a singing journey riddled with multiple competition losses. '[In terms of] experience, sa tagal ko nang sumasali sa competitions, I feel like I am advanced emotionally, mentally, and experience-wise compared to my other clashers. Mas marami akong napagdaanan na batikos, appreciation, so parang mas nakita ko na yung world of singing competitions,' the 35-year-old explained. Insofar as the heart to compete is concerned, Adelle believes that it is precisely her deep experience and the many losses that came with it that have prepared her for a highly competitive and nationally televised competition like The Clash. 'Yung tatag ng puso– sa mga pinagdaanan ko rin kasi hindi madali yung paulit-ulit kang sasali, pero paulit-ulit kang maba-bash at matatalo, pero paulit-ulit ka pa ring nagta-try,' added Adelle, who noted that she's derived strength from the faith and belief of those who have supported her. '...may mga tao pa ring naniniwala sayo na kaya mo yan, na hindi mo pa lang oras, yung mga ganitong salita kasi driving force yun eh.' She also talked in brief about her younger years in Cotabato, where she was born and raised. 'Wala ako masyadong fun childhood memory, growing up my life has circled around drama, ang pinaka-memorable ko na… is when I had father-daughter issues,' she said. According to Adelle, one of the most memorable (and possibly her first) heartbreaks was when she was five and had to walk home from school alone under the pouring rain because her father wasn't able to fetch her. She clarified, however, that she's gotten better and has healed that part of her. Adelle's decision to join The Clash 2025 is a testament to a conscious decision to prioritize courage and growth in the face of setbacks and unfavorable life experiences. 'Pag hindi matatag loob mo,' she reminds, 'hindi rin tatatag yung puso mo.' 'Dahil sa mga experiences ko, naging dahilan yun para hindi ako huminto. Yung mga pinagdaanan ko rin sa personal life ko– I have a sister na PWD, parents ko naman are both may sakit– so technically as the breadwinner of the family, nasa balikat ko lahat eh, and i have to keep moving. Hindi ako pwede huminto,' she said. 'So what keeps me inspired? Singing. If it has to be joining a competition para mag-move forward in life, then I will do it.' Second round of The Clash 2025 starts this Sunday (July 6), as Adelle and her fellow Top 12 finalists are set for an all-out sing-off inside the Clash Arena. The Clash airs at 7:15 p.m. on Sundays only on GMA-7.
