‘Hysteria!' Canceled By Peacock After One Season
Peacock is not proceeding with a second season of thriller drama Hysteria!, Deadline has confirmed. The news comes 3½ months after the eight-episode first season was released as a binge drop on October 18.
It is not surprising as the series starring Julie Bowen and Anna Camp didn't manage to make noise like other recent Peacock entries, including The Day Of the Jackal and Apples Never Fall. The decision follows the recent cancellation of another Peacock October release, horror drama Teacup.

Adrian Lester & Nicholas Podany Among 5 Cast In Peacock's 'PONIES' Alongside Emilia Clarke
Written and executive produced by Matthew Scott Kane, Hysteria! is set during the 'Satanic Panic' of the late 1980s, when a beloved varsity quarterback disappears. But when a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and reported 'supernatural activity' triggers a leather-studded witch hunt, it leads directly back to them.
Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis and Nikki Hahn also star, with Bruce Campbell, Garret Dillahunt, Nolan North, Elijah Richardson, Milly Shapiro, Allison Scagliotti and Jessica Treska serving as guest stars.
Executive producers include John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein along with Chris Bender and Jake Weiner for Good Fear Content. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
