Hollyoaks reveals Jez wedding shocker as another dead body is confirmed

There's nothing more eventful than a Hollyoaks wedding, which is something that Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) and John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) are about to find out for themselves next week. The grooms-to-be are set to tie the knot in what promises to be an explosive week for the Channel 4 soap, with Jez's deadly antics set to cause quite a stir. The gardener, as viewers know, is a dastardly serial killer who has been committing murderous acts for decades. Since his arrival in the village a year ago (two years ago in the show's universe), he's claimed the lives of Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith), Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) and social worker Ian. He's also murdered Dennis Savage (Joe Tracini), who was last seen on screens in 2018. Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) has been investigating Dennis' murder for months and next week tragedy strikes when the character's body is found. The undercover policeman receives the update just seconds after a confrontation with Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), who has been having an affair with Jez. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Dodger, having been given reason to suspect such a thing, urges Lib to come clean about the questionable romance when he gets a phone call to confirm Dennis' remains have been uncovered. Reeling, Liberty shares the tragic update with Sienna (Anna Passey) and Martha (Sherrie Hewson). John Paul, meanwhile, grows suspicious of Jez's commitment to him and tells his fiancé that he's not sure he loves him. Enraged, Jez smashes a mirror amid a violent outburst. As the day of the wedding arrives, Jez gets set to tie up all of his loose ends. No matter the cost. John Paul, however, is still full of doubts, with his family offering him support. Determined to win him back, Jez urges JP to give him once more shot. And as the wedding guests gather, the murderer is delighted to see John Paul at the altar. The question is: with secrets galore, will the vows be exchanged? That remains to be seen but what I can tell you is that, the fallout of the wedding results in emotions running high – and danger closes in fast. Later, at the allotment, Libery visits Jez. But is their love affair at an end? Tony meets with Mercedes ahead of The Dog re-opening, sharing his hopes of rebuilding his family as he and Diane move back into the pub. More Trending Armed with newfound confidence, Tony asks Diane to give them another shot. With risks involved and the children to think about, Di reckons they should take things slow. Later in the week, a vendetta leads to Tony making a life-changing detour. Jack, meanwhile, is delighted to be asked back behind the bar. All Hollyoaks spoilers for next week as exit is sealed amid unexpected return

There are big shocks in store for the residents of Hollyoaks as twists are aplenty, as confirmed in my brand new spoilers, in what promises to be yet another must-see week. The Channel 4 soap has been delivering the drama with a capital D over the past few months and next week is set to be another big one, with bombshells, returns and disappearances on the cards. Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) is set to have his heart broken once again by boyfriend Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass), who cheats on him after relapsing. The situation proves upsetting for Lucas, who has been struggling with his anger over the past few weeks, as he lashes out. Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), meanwhile, pays Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) a visit behind bars, Bobby Costello's (Zak Sutcliffe) whereabouts is up in the air after that twist and Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) bravely reveals her feelings for Jacob Omari (Ethaniel Davy). With this week's offerings of Hollyoaks at an end, you might find yourself to know everything there is to know about what's coming up and if that is the case then I'm your guy, with a first look at all of next week's drama (well most of it, I'm not giving everything away!). Dillon receives a message, which Lucas sees first, confirming the teen's STI results are clear. When Lucas tries to get intimate, Dillon gives him the cold shoulder and heads off. He joins Frankie and Vicky, who are having drinks in the backyard of 67 Christleton Terrace. Frankie is upset, believing that Jacob is ghosting her – that is, until he turns up at the gate. Delighted, Frankie invites him in. Vicky, meanwhile, tells Frankie that she wants to move forward and forget about Grace and Robbie. However, she soon gets drunk and blurts out that she stole Clare's money and gave it to Robbie, admitting that she was also the one who attacked Grace. Worried about her, Dillon and Frankie take Vicky back inside. In the wake of the previous week's events, Bobby is missing. Myra is determined to make things right with Mercedes, claiming she was only speaking to Donny over the garden fence and didn't think about any repercussions. The question is: just what is she supposed to have done? Elsewhere, Tony is disheartened in the wake of Diane and Marie's showdown as he chats to Darren, who checks in on the building work at The Dog. Tony's attention is soon elsewhere when he puts two and two together, realising Bobby was being harboured by Mercedes in the pub. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Enraged, Tone confronts Mercedes, who begs him not to go to the police. Over at the hospital, Clare visits Grace – who is still unconscious – and fills her sister in on all the devilish details of her new plan. It also becomes apparent that the schemer hasn't forgotten about how Mercedes ran her down and thus revenge is on her mind. Dillon is spooked when Donny shares his theory on Rex being innocent in the investigation into who shot DI Banks. When the detective is distracted, Dillon steals the police report, which confirms the direction from which the bullet that claimed the dodgy copper's life came from. Ergo, Dillon realises who shot the bullet in question! Ste, meanwhile, also learns that Donny reckons Rex is innocent, whichfrustrates Lucas, who wishes his dad would forget all about Rex after what he did to Dillon. Speaking of Dillon, the teen relapses. Lucas later walks in on his boyfriend sleeping with a girl and to make matters worse, Dillon refers to the young chef as his 'ex'. Is this the end of HayRay? And as for Ste, he manages to pay Rex a visit in prison. But will he get to the truth? Darren, meanwhile, finds Jacob on the sofa and he's livid – that is until Frankie fills him in on the situation, with the patriarch subsequently apologising for his earlier reaction. The teens tease Jacob and Frankie over their evident interest in one another. Once alone, Frankie bravely reveals her feelings for Jacob. Will he feel the same? That remains to be seen as the boy receives a text message, which leads to him dashing off. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Interest piqued, Frankie gives chase, finding Jacob at a caravan. He states that he is living there and, worried, Frankie promises to bring him supplies. Tony is saddened to learn that Diane has a date planned. Ste returns home to find Lucas absolutely heartbroken in light of what he's just witnessed. Taking control of the situation, Ste puts Dillon to bed and proceeds to comfort his son, who is unable to stay at the flat. As Ste attempts to support Dillon through his relapse, Lucas subsequently receives a message from his boyfriend, who says he's too messed up and that Lucas deserves better. More Trending Unable to process all the trauma, Lucas begins to attack himself. Horrified, Ste intervenes, telling his son to take it out on him instead. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In shock scenes, Lucas brutally attacks his dad. Misbah, meanwhile, encourages Vicky to move on. Vicky then comforts Dillon, unaware that he knows who killed Banks. All Hollyoaks spoilers for next week as killer takes a hostage

Comebacks and chaos are on the menu in Hollyoaks next week, as confirmed in my new spoilers, with two familiar faces' returns at the centre of another exciting week. The beloved Channel 4 soap has been serving hard over the past few months and that's showing no signs of changing, with another whopper on the cards. But just what are the residents of the eponymous deadly village getting up to during the week in question? What aren't they getting up to would probably be a more appropriate question! With her cancer in remission and having suffered through the loss of Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) – not to mention the comeback of nemesis Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) – Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) needs nothing more than a quiet week right now. Unfortunately for her that's not on the cards as instead she gets told that son Bobby (Zak Sutcliffe) has escaped the secure home, prompting a mother and son reunion that she couldn't have predicted. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The walls close in on Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), meanwhile, as the serial killer faces fresh trauma when his mother all but disowns him – and he gets blackmailed. And Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) is determined to win back her man in Tony (Nick Pickard)! But with Marie Fielding (Rita Simons) still on the scene, will she succeed? Craving more deets on all the juicy drama? Fear not, that's just for starters! Prince throws a 'screw you cancer' party in honour of Mercedes, who spoils the surprise when she walks in on the planning. Upon learning of Freddie's role in putting the party together, she tells her family to carry on with the organising. The party gets underway at Casa, with Myra delivering a heartfelt speech. Mercedes, however, is acting suspiciously and soon proceedings are halted as Donny arrives on official police business, informing Mercy that Bobby has escaped from the secure home, presumably in a social worker's car. Reeling, Mercedes plans to meet with Bobby. Jez, meanwhile, is spooked to learn of Dodger's plan to meet with Tori's social worker and thus skips out on Mercedes' party, much to the upset of John Paul. Dodger meets in the park with the social worker, who is spooked as he admits that Dennis made a confession before his death, revealing that he was being harassed by a member of the Blake clan. Dodger wonders if it could be Dilly, with Jez delighted to know that he's off the hook. Or at least that's what he thinks – as someone later slips a letter under the door, with smiling Jez left reeling as he discovers someone is blackmailing him. Elsewhere, Diane and Marie vie for Tony's affection. The two throw insults at one another, with Tony left red-faced. Mercedes finds Bobby hiding in The Dog. He apologises for everything he's done. Tony, meanwhile, is hurt to discover that Bobby has escaped and he's not alone in that respect, with Goldie arriving back in the village on a mission to ensure Bobby serves the rest of his sentence. Mercedes is of a similar mindset, urging Bobby to hand himself in so that he can do his time and secure his freedom the right way. The question is: will he listen? Elsewhere, Martha washes her hands of Jez, branding the serial killer too hard to love. Jez appears to be genuinely hurt by his mum's words. Rejected by Martha and with no-one else to confide in about his crimes, he keeps someone prisoner at the shed. More Trending But just who is it? Time is ticking for Bobby to get out of the village, with work imminently set to commence on The Dog. Donny watches Mercedes closely. Will Bobby make it out of the village? Hollyoaks confirms two major returns as killer stages unexpected comeback

Old wounds are reopened and conflict is rife for the McQueens as Hollyoaks welcomes back two members of the beloved clan next week. The comebacks come in the wake of Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) throwing Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) – who was recently told her chemo is working – a 'screw you cancer' party. The event is intended to be a surprise but our Mercy walks in amid preparations and – upon learning that the party was a brainwave of Freddie Roscoe's (Charlie Clapham) – she urges her loved ones to carry on organising. But the attention soon shifts for the former pub landlady as she receives a text message – which leaves her acting very suspiciously. Later in the week, the party gets underway at Casa, with Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) delivering a heartfelt speech. But things soon come to a pause. Why? I'm not tell you everything but what I can reveal is Mercedes and Myra are informed by Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) – who is on active police duty – that Bobby (Zak Sutcliffe) has escaped the secure home and is suspected to have done so in a social worker's car! He's resourceful is that one. Bobby McQueen (formerly Costello) is the biological son of Mercedes and Riley Costello. He spent much of his childhood with his mum and her husband Sylver, who he thought of as a dad, living at The Dog in The Pond, which Mercedes formerly ran. He was a kind, thoughtful and gentle soul. However, in 2022, the character started on a dark path, leaving Sylver to die in the fire at the Salon De Thé. It subsequently came to light that Bobby been in communication with his granddad and notorious serial killer Silas Blissett, who largely warped his mind. After murdering Silas – by pushing him onto an electrified chessboard – Bobby started to kill in cold blood, claiming the life of much-loved solicitor and all-round icon Verity Hutchinson (hence why Tony isn't happy to learn of his release in upcoming scenes), crushing her with a bookcase. He also attempted to murder Felix Westwood at Christmas 2022, almost killing DeMarcus instead in a case of mistaken identity. This incident led to his arrest. In January 2023, Bobby stood trial for his crimes, receiving nine years for the attempted murder of DeMarcus, plus 12 for the murder of Silas. But with an escape on the cards for the character, now played by Waterloo Road star Zak Sutcliffe, just what will the future hold for the troubled teen? A voicemail from Mercedes confirms a plan to meet with Bobby and later the mother and son duo reunite at their former home – The Dog. In emotional scenes, Bobby breaks down, apologising for everything that he's done. Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), meanwhile, learns of Bobby's escape and he's left upset – and he's not the only one, with Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) staging a comeback, determined to make Bobby face the music for what he did her to her big bro Sylver (David Tag). Do you think Bobby will have changed? Yes - enough time has passed and he'll be a changed man No - if Hollyoaks has taught us anything its that once a killer always a killer Worried about the impact his sudden escape will have on his sentence, Mercedes encourages Bobby to hand himself in. And with the construction work set to commence at The Dog where Bobby is hiding out and Donny watching Mercy like a hawk – not to mention our Goldie on a mission! – the big question is: just how long will the teen be able to avoid the long arm of the law? Jez is on edge as Dodger plans to meet with Tori's former social worker, who is spooked himself, confiding in Dodge that, prior to his death, Dennis was being harassed by a member of the Blake clan. Will our hero Mark be the one to take down serial killer, who last week confessed to the killing of Dennis? To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Dodger might not have the chance as the tide is turning where Martha is concerned, with the matriarch simply having enough of keeping Jez's secrets. Amid being blackmailed, Jez is left shattered as his mum brands him a narcissist, telling him that his actions make him hard to love. Over at the allotment, the killer keeps a hostage. Elsewhere, Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) and Marie Fielding (Rita Simons) battle it out to win Tony's affection. Hollyoaks has really upped the ante over the past few months in delivering the hard-hitting drama we all know and love with deliciously camp moments peppered throughout. If the spoilers for next week are any indication to go by, things are not slowing down as we inch closer to the highly-anticipated 30th anniversary in October 30th. More Trending I had been holding out hope that we'd see Bobby return someday and, given a significant portion of time has passed since he was last on-screen – not to mention the time jump providing an extra year of story potential – now feels like the perfect moment to bring him back. His comeback is sure to set the cat among the pigeons and his dynamic with Mercedes was always a good one, with star Jennifer Metcalfe having done some of her best work in recent years when her alter-ego was fretting about her murderous son. With powerhouse Waterloo Road star Zak Suitcliffe now in the role – not to mention the imminent return of Goldie, the stage is set for what promises to be a very fiery story – and it's exactly the kind of narrative the McQueens thrive in.
