Dog the Bounty Hunter's stepgrandson, 13, shot and killed by father in ‘incomprehensible' accident: report
Dog the Bounty Hunter is going though an unimaginable tragedy after his stepgrandson, Anthony Zecca, was accidentally shot and killed by his father, Gregory Zecca. Gregory — who's the son of Dog's wife, Francie Frane — accidentally shot his 13-year-old son in a 'freak accident' on Saturday night, TMZ reported Sunday. The incident occurred in their apartment in Naples, Florida, per the outlet. The Collier County Sheriff's Office tells Page Six that deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 8:08 p.m. in Naples. One person was deceased. According to police, it was an isolated incident. No arrests have been made and it's an active investigation. Dog — whose real name is Duane Chapman — and Francie confirmed the tragic loss in a statement. 'We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,' they said in a statement to TMZ. Dog's rep didn't immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. Dog is the father to 13 children from six different relationships. He married Francie — a rancher from Colorado — in September 2021. Their wedding took place 10 months after his wife, Beth Chapman, died following a battle with throat cancer. Dog and Francie were also brought together through tragedy after she also lost her spouse to cancer. Francie lost her husband, Bob, an excavator, to the disease just six months before Beth died. 'We understood the pain that the other one was feeling and [in] those tough days and moments, we helped each other stand up,' Francie said in a September 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight. 'We could cry with each other and talk about what we were feeling.' 'We were able to walk alongside each other through the pain and heartbreak and it brought us together in this amazing way,' she added. Dog briefly spoke about Francie's children in a September 2020 appearance on 'The Dr. Oz Show.' 'I know she's a hunter. Her and her two sons have hunted bow hunt, so they track, they look for things that the prey leaves behind,' he said. 'She just fit right in,' he added about his first bounty hunt with Francie. 'She started getting leads and writing them down, so there's more than just tracking and hunting.'

Dr. Oz Says Americans Shouldn't Eat Carrot Cake
If you know Dr. Mehmet Oz, you probably know him from his TV show, The Dr. Oz Show. The show was a spin-off of Oz's health segment on The Oprah Winfrey Show and ran from 2009 to 2022. He has been criticized over the years for promoting pseudoscience through his own advice and through the guests he had on the show, including conspiracy theorists, psychics, and, uh, RFK Jr. All that said, it may come as no surprise that President Donald Trump awarded Dr. Oz a spot in his administration. Oz is currently serving as administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, overseeing government programs that have faced continuous threats (and moves toward) defunding. In a clip posted to X, Oz says that Medicare "was a promise to the American people to take care of you if you were having problems financially or if you were having an issue 'cause you were older and needed healthcare." "And it changed the country in a good way for many reasons," he continues. "But we're all in it together, Stuart." "Which means we'll be there for you, the American people, when you need help with Medicaid and Medicare, but you've gotta stay healthy as well. Be vital. Do the most you can do so you can live up to the potential, your God-given potential to live a full and healthy life," Dr. Oz says. Then things "And, y'know, don't eat... carrot cake," Oz says, gesturing at the carrot cake sitting between them. "Eat real food," he continues as he and Varney crack up. "That's what you've given me," Varney says, laughing. Part of me thinks Oz meant to say "don't eat carrot cake, eat carrots," but that's none of my business. Needless to say, the internet was a tad befuddled. "So what are they saying - if you eat desserts you will be barred from receiving healthcare? 'If you don't do what we think you should than you won't get help,'" this person tweeted. This person echoed the sentiment, saying the messaging sounds like Oz is suggesting if you choose to eat carrot cake "you arent healthy enough to continue living with healthcare." "Is Dr. Oz seriously suggesting carrot cake is the problem with healthcare?" someone asked. This person came right for Dr. Oz himself. Another user pointed out that the "unhealthy" American diet is largely a systemic issue, rooted in poverty. "Then start by teaching Nutrition in schools and serve actual healthy food. Not French fries," this person replied. A LOT of people pointed out how Republicans reacted to first lady Michelle Obama's healthy eating initiatives. And others thought the call was coming from inside the house. What do you think? Weigh in in the comments.

US Health Insurance Stocks Rally After $25 Billion Federal Boost To Medicare Payments
Health insurance stocks soared Tuesday morning on the first full day of trading after the U.S. government announced a more than 5% average increase in government reimbursement rates for 2026 Medicare Advantage plans run by private insurers. FALLON/AFP via Getty Images) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which oversees Medicare and Medicaid programs, said Tuesday that payments from the federal government to Medicare Advantage plans would increase by 5.06% in its 2026 calendar year, more than double what it proposed in January. The significant increase is expected to generate $25 billion in additional revenue for the industry, the Wall Street Journal reported. U.S. health insurance stocks rallied late Tuesday morning, with UnitedHealth Group rising 7%, CVS Health up 8%, Human jumping 10% and Elevance Health up 4%. The rate increase finalized by the White House Monday is 2.83 percentage points higher than what the Biden administration proposed in January, with CMS attributing the jump to additional health spending data that was not available during the initial proposal. Mehmet Oz, who hosted The Dr. Oz Show from 2008 to 2022, was confirmed by the Senate last week as CMS administrator. An increase in the average reimbursement rate means insurers will receive more funding per Medicare Advantage plan recipient and the insurers that offer these plans can then offer more services and bring in additional revenue. The 2026 jump in reimbursements, along with the Trump administration cutting plans to allow Medicare to cover obesity drugs, is a relief for big insurers after the industry's core Medicare business became a drag on profits over the past year. Last year, the government proposed a 0.2% decline in the average reimbursement rate for 2025.
