The Fantastic Four: First Steps Final Trailer Drops Hint Of Galactus
Washington : Marvel has released the final trailer of 'The Fantastic Four', featuring the arrival of supervillian Galactus. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' features an ensemble cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the titular team. It is directed by Matt Shakman. In the new trailer, as the quartet is about to take the stage on 'The Ted Gilbert Show', they get alerts on their retro wristbands. The same alert comes as they are about to sit down to dinner. Julia Garner's Silver Surfer then floats out of the darkness to "herald his beginning", meaning Galactus, as reported by Deadline. There are also several attempts in the clip to get 'The Thing' to say "It's clobberin' time!" which he repeatedly asserts is from the comics and not something he likes to say. The trailer also highlights the gigantic appearance of Galactus, followed by the mass destruction. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' is one of the most anticipated films of the year, marking the first title in Phase Six of the MCU, according to Deadline. The Fantastic Four is slated to hit theatres on July 25. Others in the cast include Paul Walter-Hauser, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles. The script of the film is written by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, with Kevin Feige producing for Marvel Studios. Louis D'Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis serve as executive producers of the film.

When Pedro Pascal Wanted To Quit Acting And Become A Nurse
Pedro Pascal revealed that he once seriously considered becoming a nurse when he could find success as an actor. With The Last of Us, The Fantastic Four, and even Avengers: Doomsday in his acting credits, Pedro Pascal is one of the biggest names in Hollywood right now. But his path to fame was far from easy. The 50-year-old actor rose to popularity after a series of rejections, losing his mother to suicide, being broke and even nearly quitting acting. In a new interview, Pedro opened up about the low phases in his life, which helped him shape into the person he is today. Pedro Pascal On His Early Life Pedro Pascal was born in Chile. His family fled the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship and moved to the US when he was just nine months old. Initially, they settled in Texas and later in California. He recalled how his mother, Veronica, who was only 22, raised her kids along with studying child psychology, while his father worked as a fertility doctor. Pedro Pascal On Facing School Bullying Reminiscing about his childhood, Pedro shared that even as a child, he was very fond of movies, so much so that whenever HBO's intro music played, he would shout, 'A movie is coming!" His life took a turn for the worse when they moved to Orange County, where he was constantly bullied by his middle school classmates for being 'weird and sensitive." It got so bad that his mother had to move him to a different school, something which he thought saved his life. Pedro Pascal On Using Drugs At one point in life, Pedro Pascal started experimenting with drugs. He also got his driver's license early. He revealed that he would take his mother's Volvo and drive to Los Angeles with his best friend, Grace. Recalling an incident where he was high on acid, he shared that he had called his mom to tell her that he would be staying out all night. She then told him that she was planning to watch a movie with him. At that moment, Pedro was reminded of the immense love he had for her. He rushed back home to just sit beside her the entire time. Pedro Pascal On How He Nearly Became A Nurse While speaking with Vanity Fair, the 50-year-old actor admitted that he considered changing his profession to nursing when he could not bag any acting roles. Pedro, who studied acting at NYU, told the outlet, 'In my 30s, I was supposed to have a career. Past 29 without a career meant that it was over, definitely." He admitted that he would have been a 'terrible" nurse. However, his family and friends kept encouraging him to chase his dreams. While he was in New York, Pedro became friends with actors like Sarah Paulson, who called him 'sad but magnetic." And just as his career was about to start, he lost his mother to suicide. It was a dark time when he dealt with insomnia and overwhelming thoughts, he said. To cope, Pedro even adopted a dog named Gretta. At this point in life, when Pedro is one of the internet's favourite 'zaddy', the actor admitted that he is still scared of criticism. However, being around actors like Robert Downey Jr. helped him overcome such insecurities. Pedro was most recently seen in the rom-com Materialists, featuring Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans. It premiered in the US on July 13. First Published:

Pedro Pascal was bullied and abused, recalls taking acid, nearly becoming a nurse after giving up acting: ‘I'm already broken'
Pedro Pascal is everywhere right now—The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, The Fantastic Four, even Avengers: Doomsday. But the 50-year-old, crowned the internet's favourite Zaddy, didn't land here easily. His rise came late, after years of rejection, losing his mother to suicide, nearly quitting acting, and being broke in New York. Now, with the world watching, Pedro has a very different view of fame. In a new interview with Vanity Fair cover, he flipped through the darkest chapters of his past. He was born in Chile, but he was just nine months old when his family fled the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship and moved to Texas. His mother, Veronica, was only 22, raising kids while also studying child psychology. Meanwhile, his dad was a fertility doctor. Since childhood, Pedro was obsessed with films, he used to scream, 'A movie is coming!' every time HBO's intro music played. When he was in middle school, his family moved to Orange County, California. But the actor says his life there took a turn for the worse; he was constantly bullied for being 'weird and sensitive,' for being different from others, and for his love for theatre. It got so bad that his mom found him another school for the arts. He says he doesn't know if he 'would have survived the bullying if my mom hadn't pulled me out.' Also read: 'Who's your daddy?': actor Pedro Pascal's look-alike wins New York Father's Day contest and a year's worth of burritos While battling abuse, the movie Gorillas in the Mist became his escape, he kept watching it again and again in theatres. After he moved out, his life changed, but he then fell for drugs. Pedro got his driver's license early, took his mom's Volvo, and with his best friend Grace, they'd drive to LA all night. At 16, he said, 'Drugs were everywhere.' He recalled tripping on acid, calling his mom to say he was staying out, and all she said was, 'Oh. I just thought we could all go see a movie.' But it was his love for his mom that made him rush back home, still hungover, and sit silently beside her at the theatre. While the Materialists actor admitted he would have been a 'terrible' nurse if he had gone for that profession, he said he was seriously considering the option, given how badly he struggled to find acting roles. 'In my 30s, I was supposed to have a career,' he told Vanity Fair. 'Past 29 without a career meant that it was over, definitely.' However, his friends, family, and especially his sister, encouraged him to keep chasing his dreams, because they believed in his uniqueness. 'When Pedro would say, 'I'm going to nursing school' or 'I'm going to be a theatre teacher,' it was just like 'No, no, no, no! You're too good!' Pedro's older sister, Javiera Balmaceda, who now works as a producer at Amazon Studios, said. 'He's wanted to be an actor since he was four years old. The one thing we'd never allow Pedro to do was give up.' And Pedro couldn't agree more. He said he would've been a terrible fit for the job: 'I'd be a selective nurse, like I was as a waiter,' he said. 'I'd fall in love with some patients and hate others. And that poor patient that I hated!' Pedro dealt with insomnia and overwhelming thoughts about how life was unfair for a huge chunk of his life. He read James Baldwin and cried at movies like Muriel's Wedding and Once Were Warriors. His career hadn't even started when he lost his mother to suicide. He laughed at himself for once thinking an audition for Dark Angel was important. 'You think not getting a job can break me? I'm already broken.' To cope, he adopted a rescue dog named Gretta. Pedro said criticism still scares him, with fans questioning, 'He's too old. He's not right. He needs to shave.' But being around Robert Downey Jr. helped. Pedro said RDJ made him feel comfortable being scared, unsure, and real. He hopes the new Fantastic Four movie shows their hearts on a platter. He said, 'You just never know if people are going to be disgusted by your heart or not.'
