Celebrity Bake Off: Meet New Judge Cherish Finden

We've still got a while to wait until The Great Celebrity Bake Off returns to our screens in 2026, but already rumours are flying about potential shake ups to the show. The new season of the show will reportedly see pastry chef Cherish Finden join the judging panel alongside Paul Hollywood. She's been tipped as judge replacing Prue Leith, after she exited the Celebrity spin-off last year due to its demanding filming schedule. Earlier this year, we saw Caroline Waldegrave join Hollywood as a judge on the celebrity version of the show, but for 2026 it seems Cherish Finden will be the one judging the creations on our screens. Cherish Finden is a Singapore-born pastry chef. She's had a successful career in the culinary industry, and has been fascinated by food since she was a child. Finden's first job was as a waitress in a restaurant when she was 14, before she enrolled on a pastry course at Shatec Institutes. From there, Finden applied her talents at top hotels across Singapore, such as the six-star Raffles Hotel. In 2001, she relocated to London with her family, where she joined the Langham Hotel as executive pastry chef. And she even has royal links. Finden famously created a Windsor Castle-shaped cake for Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday in 2016. Cherish Finden is 57 years old. Yes! Since 2016, Cherish has appeared on Bake Off: The Professionals. On this show, she developed her reputation for exceptionally high standards and no-nonsense critique. But while she can be stern, she's also fair - Finden tries all the challenges for herself ahead of the show, to check the time allocated to the contestants is suitable. This isn't her only TV accolade. Finden has also appeared on Heston's Great British Food on Channel 4, BBC's MasterChef, Australian MasterChef, BBC2's An Extra Slice and Junior Bake Off. She is also the judge for Best Afternoon Tea UK. Last year, Prue announced she would be stepping back from The Great Celebrity Bake Off. However, she will still star alongside Paul for the main series. In a chat with This Morning last year, Prue explained she wasn't leaving the show permanently but was finding the demanding filming schedule difficult to keep up with. This meant she decided to step back from the celebrity edition. She said: 'These things are filmed back-to-back all the way through summer from April to August so you don't get any time off. I'm getting quite old and there's places I want to see. So I'm not doing this year's.' Yes! You can keep up to date with all things Cherish, including her mouth-watering creations, at her Instagram handle @cherish_finden. Alice Hall is the Staff Writer at Grazia UK. She was previously a Junior Features Writer for The Daily Telegraph. At Grazia, she writes news and features about pop culture, dating, health, politics and interiors.

Yung Filly update sees star face two new sexual assault charges

Yung Filly - whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos - was charged with rape and other offenses over an alleged sexual assault on a woman in Australia last year British rapper, Yung Filly, is facing two new sexual assault charges relating to the assault of a woman while he was on tour in Australia. Filly - whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos - was charged with rape and other offences over an alleged sexual assault on a woman in the country last year. In March, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. However, according to court documents filed on Friday, the YouTuber, 29, faces two new counts of sexual penetration without consent, and no plea has been entered for them. ‌ ‌ The incident is alleged to have taken place on 28 September. Filly had been touring Australia at the time of the alleged offences. Filly appeared at Perth Magistrates Court for an initial hearing on October 10, 2024 where he was granted conditional bail. The bail terms stated that he did not discuss the case on social media, or contact the alleged victim. The rapper appeared in Perth Magistrates Court for a second time on March 11, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges. He was told to appear in the District Court of Western Australia on July 13. On June 13, two new charges of sexual penetration without consent were filed against Filly. During a court hearing in November, the British-Colombian saw his bail request put on hold until later that day. ABC Australia covered the story, noting that Perth barrister Seamus Rafferty SC is representing the entertainer. Rafferty commented on the denied bail, stating: "This has already made headlines. Given the nature of social media, the nature of people jumping on bandwagons, given the nature of (the) power imbalance between the parties." ‌ A TikTok video from Perth's Bar1 Nightclub went viral last year, showcasing Filly – who has appeared in Channel 4's The Great Celebrity Bake Off – performing at the venue. Meanwhile, in a sombre contrast, images depicting injuries allegedly sustained by a woman were presented to the court. "No ordinary person can consent in those circumstances," stated the prosecutor in reference to the gruesome photos, adding: "Across her body is a history of violent acts, ... we say those photos and what is alleged is beyond the pale, beyond what could be considered to be a consensual act." Filly, who was born in Colombia and moved to London aged two as a refugee with his mum and sister began his YouTube career in 2013 before releasing his debut single Take Time in 2017. He went onto host shows Hot Property and Don't Scream on BBC Three and has also appeared in Soccer Aid and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. Filly's 10-day trial is scheduled to start on 20 July 2026.

The internet personality, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, appeared before Perth District Court on Friday. In March, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. Court documents filed on Friday revealed he faced two new counts of sexual penetration without consent. No plea has been entered for the two new charges. His case was listed for a 10-day trial starting on July 20 2026. The online star has been on bail since October 2024 after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman aged in her 20s in his hotel room after he performed at a venue in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth, the previous month. During his initial court hearing in October, Barrientos was granted bail with strict conditions and a personal undertaking of 100,000 Australian dollars (£52,000), alongside a surety of the same amount, the PA news agency understands. Court documents revealed Barrientos pleaded guilty to a reckless driving charge on December 5. The social media star was clocked driving at more than 96mph on the Roe Highway near the Perth suburb of High Wycombe on November 17. Barrientos has appeared on several BBC shows and is known for collaborating with the YouTube collective Beta Squad.
