Who would win between Lex Luthor and Galactus? The actors who played them were wondering the same thing
With The Fantastic Four First Steps set to release, the pressure couldn't be more. The film isn't just trying to revive the struggling Marvel Studios, but it also has to do better than the other legendary reboot made by the studio across town, DC's Superman. Both films attempt to retell the story behind iconic superheroes and villains, namely Lex Luthor and Galactus. The competition between the two has already begun, but not by the fans or the studio execs, but by the actors who are playing them, Nicholas Hoult and Ralph Ineson. Ineson has had a very weird journey with Marvel, going from playing an unnamed character in The Guardians of the Galaxy to playing one of Marvel Comics' most powerful villains. He does have some impressive projects under his belt, including films like Nosferatu (2024), The Green Knight (2021), and Ready Player One (2018). He met Hoult, who plays supervillain Lex Luthor, on the sets of Nosferatu, and both Ineson and Hoult quickly realised that they were essentially fighting for the same title, the baddest man in town. The Fantastic Four First Steps actor revealed in an interview with THR that the two actors in fact had a discussion about their characters, and Ineson extended a challenge to Hoult after reading positive reviews of Superman. ALSO READ: The Fantastic Four First Steps post-credits scene leaked online, reveals the future for Marvel's first family and a Robert Downey Jr tease He said, 'We actually had a text conversation this morning about it. I sent him something off social media that said that he gave the all-time greatest superhero villain performance, and I said, 'Hold my beer.' He then laughed and said, 'It's hardly fair. You're a cosmic entity; I'm just a guy.' And I said, 'Fair enough, but I am fighting four of them.' Hoult then told Ineson that a man who gets sick after eating spicy food should not be competing with a demigod, bringing the debate to a close. Ralph Ineson also talked about how he bagged the role in The Fantastic Four First Steps and admitted that the entire process was 'spookily easy'. 'I would've expected to tape and screen test for a while. But almost all the cast have the same story, which was a brief meeting with Matt and confirmation a few days later that they'd like you to play the part. So it was spookily smooth and easy. I do occasionally get offered parts straight nowadays, but they're not usually of this magnitude.' Ineson stated that he definitely felt the magnitude of the role once he put on the suit, which was so heavy that he had to take breaks during shooting to get a massage. 'It's true I had to get massages during lunch break. The suit wasn't uncomfortable, but it was just so heavy, and I am 55 years old, so it was making my knees flare up. To wear that suit and shoot under extremely bright white lights, it became very hot, and my 'pit crew' had a whole plan to keep me cool because Galactus can't sweat. I would have 30-second breaks, where one person would hold my gauntlet, the other would hold my helmet, while a third person would put the air conditioning unit on the back of my suit,' added Ineson. Even if Lex Luthor can't compete with someone who literally consumes planets, Nicholas Hoult's portrayal of the mad scientist was right on the money, and Superman's box office collection is growing by the day. Marvel will be hoping to create a similar effect with The Fantastic Four First Steps. The film releases on July 25.

The Real Reason Thor Didn't Show Up for "Guardians Vol. 3"
Yara Sameh James Gunn has opened up about the reason behind not putting Thor in his highly beloved 'The Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise, even against the studio that produced it. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , Gunn said he fought back against the MCU's connected timeline after he saw Thor join the Guardians in the 'Avengers: Endgame' finale. 'I said in the script notes: 'I'm not gonna put him in. I don't want to have Thor in the Guardians. I don't want to do a movie with Thor,'' Gunn explained. 'I don't understand the character that much. I love watching his movies and I love Chris Hemsworth as a guy. I don't understand how to write that character.' Gunn also discussed teasing Will Poulter as Adam Warlock in the post-credit scene of 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.' Although it panned out with the character's major role in 'Guardians 3,' at the time, it felt like 'fitting a square peg into a round hole.' 'I did not like what I did in 'Guardians 2' where we set up Adam Warlock and we set up the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and we set up all this shit that I didn't necessarily plan on,' Gunn noted. 'Well, I guess I kind of planned on fulfilling that promise, but you want to be careful about that. The way a post-credits scene works is a punch to the face, like, 'Oh my God! Look at this.' At times when you're using it just solely to set something up, sometimes you're screwing yourself over. It was not easy to work Adam Warlock into 'Guardians 3.'' Things also panned out with Thor's arc with the Guardians. Gunn said 'Thor: Love and Thunder' director Taika Waititi took on the burden of connecting Thor with the Guardians, leaving him with complete creative flexibility for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.' 'They chose to have that ending in editing,' Gunn told Rolling Stone at the time. 'And I didn't think it was gonna be in there. 'Endgame' came out right after I decided to do 'Guardians' again. So I didn't have much say in what was in 'Endgame,' and then it came out and then I was like, 'What the fuck am I gonna do?' That's when [Marvel Studios president] Kevin [Feige] told me Taika's gonna do 'Thor,' and we'll have the Guardians in it. I said 'Thank God!' … To be completely honest, Thor was never going to be in this movie. Taika took a bullet for me. Because I was not going to have him in. I was just gonna start up and there's no Thor.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News 3 Killed in Shooting Attack in Thailand

'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown shares real name as she admits changing it for 's---s and giggles'
"Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown revealed that the public has never actually known her by her real name. During a conversation with Chris Pratt for Buzzfeed, the 21-year-old British actress surprised her "Electric State" co-star when she admitted that her middle name was not "Bobby." "My middle name is Bonnie," Brown said. "Millie Bobby Bonnie Brown?" Pratt asked. "No Bobby, it's Millie Bonnie Brown," she replied. "I've never told anyone that," Brown added. "You heard it here first!" "The Guardians of the Galaxy" star appeared stunned as he clarified, "Your middle name is Bonnie? But you just changed it to Bobby for…" "For s---s and giggles," Brown said. "For your stage name?" Pratt asked. "Yes," Brown responded with a laugh. "Oh s---!" Pratt exclaimed. Despite Brown's playful explanation for why she changed her middle name, it is rumored to be a tribute to her father Robert Brown. Robert, along with Brown's mother Kelly Brown, championed their daughter's career from her childhood. At the age of 12, Brown skyrocketed to fame when she landed her breakthrough role as Eleven in Netflix's hit science fiction series "Stranger Things." "My middle name is Bonnie." Brown and Pratt are currently on a press tour for their new Netflix movie, "Electric State," which was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who helmed four movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on Simon Stålenhag's 2018 illustrated novel of the same name and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, "Electric State" also stars Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci. Recently, Brown hit back at critics who have made derogatory comments about her appearance. On Tuesday, the two-time Emmy Award nominee shared an Instagram video in which she was seen reading some headlines from articles that she found offensive. "I started in this industry when I was 10 years old," Brown wrote in the caption of her post. "I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can't seem to grow with me. Instead, they act like I'm supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on Stranger Things Season 1. And because I don't, I'm now a target." "This isn't journalism," she added. "This is bullying. The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it's disturbing. The fact that some of these articles are written by women? Even worse." "Disillusioned people can't handle seeing a girl become a woman on her terms, not theirs," Brown added. "I refuse to apologize for growing up." Meanwhile, Brown added another name to her moniker last year when she married Jon Bon Jovi's son, Jake Bongiovi. After announcing their engagement in April 2023, the couple tied the knot in May 2024 when Brown was 20 and Bongiovi was 22. Bon Jovi weighed in on his son's marriage shortly after the pair tied the knot. "They are great, they are absolutely fantastic," Bon Jovi told BBC's "The One Show." "It was a very small family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be. It's true." During an interview with Vanity Fair last month, Brown addressed why she and Bongiovi decided to get married so early in their lives. "We were pretty united going into it. We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we're looking for, the kind of careers we want," she said. "It's such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him."

Is Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday concept art leak real?
ALBAWABA - One day ago, a concept art leak for Marvel's most-anticipated superhero movie, Avengers: Doomsday reportedly swarmed the internet sparking excitement due to revealing an interesting medieval aesthetic and plot elements. The leaked artworks were shared on ArtStation by Mushk Rizvi, a concept artist and illustrator at Marvel Studios and CAPCOM. While the artist didn't take long to delete the post in question, Marvel fans were quick on their feet and shared the photos across social media. Caution: The artworks contain massive spoilers. It all occurred when an artist who allegedly works at Marvel reportedly mass-leaked their concept art for Avengers: Doomsday showcasing the movie's superheroes and villains in different scenarios. The most popular artwork in the leak showcased the movie's villain, Doctor Doom sitting on a throne displaying his menacing and powerful aura.
