Singer Charli XCX weds The 1975 drummer George Daniel in intimate ceremony

British pop star Charli XCX and The 1975's drummer George Daniel tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at London's Hackney Town Hall on July 19. The couple's close friends and family members were in attendance, including the British rock band's other members, except lead singer Matty Healy. Charli XCX, 32, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, wore a white off-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown with a corseted bodice. Daniel, a 35-year-old British record producer, was in a double-breasted suit jacket and a boutonniere which matched the bridal bouquet. According to reports, the newlyweds shared a kiss on the front steps of the town hall, before she put on her signature black sunglasses and exited the venue. The couple met in 2019 at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, and started dating in 2022. They have collaborated a few times, with the first being on Filipino recording artiste No Rome's song Spinning (2021), which saw Daniel as co-producer. In November 2023, Charli XCX announced on Instagram that they were engaged. She has been on her Brat Tour since late 2024, and will be wrapping up her final show in South Korea in August. In February, the singer-songwriter picked up three Grammys (including Best Dance/Electronic Album for 2024's Brat) before winning five trophies at the Brit Awards, including British Artist of the Year, Best Dance Act, British Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Apart from his contribution to The 1975, Daniel's production credits include British indie pop musician The Japanese House's albums Good At Falling (2019) and In The End It Always Does (2023). – The Straits Times/Asia News Network

Charli XCX is married! All you need to know about George Daniel, the 'Brat' singer's husband (net worth, career highlights, personal life inside)

The brat summer is over! 'Tis the time for bridal summer! The OG brat girl has gotten hitched! Charlotte Aitchison, more popularly known as , has officially tied the knot with George Daniel. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The intimate ceremony took place on July 19 at London's Hackney Town Hall. Here's a closer look at their super low-key and supremely intimate wedding ceremony. The wedding bells Staying true to their romantic and artistic partnership, Charli XCX and George Daniel kept their big day super low-key. The intimate and private wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family, including members of The 1975 sans frontman Matty Healy. The longtime lovers kept their nuptials notably low-key, yet stylish. Charli dazzled in a white, off-the-shoulder mini (or midi) gown, paired it with her signature dark sunglasses and a classic tulle sheer veil. George matched in a tailored suit and boutonnière. The couple sealed their vows with a kiss on the town hall steps! Who is George Daniel? George Bedford Daniel is a British drummer, record producer, DJ, and electronic musician. As a foundational member and producer who took over drums, freeing frontman Matty Healy to focus on vocals and guitar, Daniel worked closely on the band's five albums, including 'The 1975', 'A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships', and 'Being Funny in a Foreign Language', all topped UK charts and helped cement their status. Daniel is also the co-writer/producer on multiple Ivor Novello, Brit Award nominees, and Mercury Prize-recognized works. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now His production credits stretch beyond The 1975, with Daniel producing for The Japanese House, Pale Waves, Beabadoobee, and PinkPantheress. His solo electronic journey includes singles 'Screen Cleaner' (August 2024), 'Chlorine' (Nov 2024), and 'Volc3' (Feb 2025) under his 'dh2' label. The brat romance Charli and George's story began in early 2021 during studio sessions for 'Spinning', a collaborative single by No Rome featuring both Charli and The 1975. What started as an artistic partnership in the studio extended to tapping into each other's souls in real life. By May 2022, they'd gone public as a couple, and by November 2023, Charli confirmed their engagement on Instagram, captioned candidly, 'charli xcx and george daniel f---ing for life!!!' Musically, George has served as more than just a romantic partner. He co-produced Charli's Crash (2022) tracks and stepped into a more prominent role on her sixth studio album Brat, producing songs like 'Club Classics', 'Sympathy is a Knife', and 'Talk Talk', the latter inspired by their chemistry (a playful NME Awards moment when they shyly texted across tables). Beyond the music, Charli has often credited George with refining her creative process, slowing down and truly living with her work before release. Net worth George Daniel's net worth is reportedly $5 million, as the band's success and his range of production credits pay dividends. Comparatively, Charli XCX is estimated at $10 million, thanks to solo releases, songwriting credits with artists like Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, and major touring. Together, they indeed make a brat couple! Poonam Pandey on getting mercilessly trolled: 'These people watch my videos in the night and in the morning they start trolling me'

Lorde quickly adds second Minneapolis show to North American tour

When Virgin arrives in June, it'll have been nearly four years since Lorde released a new record. The New Zealand-born pop star's fourth release will be accompanied by a North American and European tour that starts in September and brings her to the Armory in Minneapolis. After announcing the "Ultrasound" tour late last week, Lorde has already added a second date in Minneapolis "due to overwhelming demand," the Armory says in an announcement. The "Royals" singer will come to Downtown Minneapolis on Oct. 11 and 12 with The Japanese House and Empress Of as openers. The second show was added so quickly that the first hadn't even gone on sale to the general public. Both shows went on sale Friday, May 16.
