Simple Plan documentary looks back on 25 years of music and memories

Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd is out now. (Source: Owen McCorquodale) Canadian pop-punk band Simple Plan is opening up about the ups and downs that shaped their career in new documentary, Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd. The film marks more than 25 years of music for the Montreal-born band. 'It's been an incredible ride, and I just feel so lucky to be here,' drummer Chuck Comeau said in an interview with CTV Atlantic's Katie Kelly. 'It was a process not only for our fans, but for ourselves - to have a moment to look back and be proud of ourselves,' said lead guitarist Jeff Stinco said. The documentary pulls back the curtain on the group's journey from high school friends to international success, exploring the personal and professional challenges that came with growing up in the spotlight. 'There's a very human relationship between four guys that met in high school and have a very complex dynamic.' While The Kids in the Crowd is a celebration of their legacy, it doesn't shy away from the more awkward moments either. 'I realized that I made some very bad fashion decisions throughout the years,' said Stinco. Simple Plan is currently touring and shows no signs of slowing down. The brand new documentary Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd is available now.
