2GB dominates Sydney radio as Triple M tanks and ABC Mornings struggles

Talkback network 2GB* is continuing to dominate Sydney radio ratings despite the departure of long-serving host Ray Hadley in December, posting a 13.6 per cent audience share in the third ratings survey of the year. The station's listener share was ahead of runner-up and FM leader Smooth FM by 1.2 percentage points. 2GB's overall share lifted by 0.8 percentage points, the largest increase of any station during this survey period (March 9 to May 31). However, the morning slot, which is now hosted by Mark Levy following Hadley's exit, remained unchanged at a 15.5 per cent listener share. Notably, survey time slots do not always correlate precisely with program time slots. This marks a relative slowdown since the previous survey, which posted a 2 percentage point jump. Levy, a former sports broadcaster, was appointed as the new Mornings host last year when Hadley stepped down after leading Sydney radio ratings for two decades. Fellow 2GB host Ben Fordham's Breakfast show (5.30-9am) continued to lead the early slot, boosting its audience share by 1.1 percentage points to 16.7 per cent. This figure beats runner-up station KIIS' Breakfast slot, hosted by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'Jackie O' Henderson, by 4.2 percentage points. However, The Kyle & Jackie O Show did enjoy a bump, posting a 12.5 per cent listener share, up from 12.3 per cent following a 1 percentage point decline during the previous survey. It is the No.1 FM show for the 51st ratings survey in a row. But in Melbourne the show's listener share dropped by 0.7 percentage points, less than two months after Sandilands threatened to pull the show out of Melbourne if its listener share failed to improve. Triple M suffered the greatest drop of all Sydney stations, losing 1.5 percentage points of its listener share since the previous survey. It's now at 4.9 per cent, putting it slightly ahead of 2UE (4.7 per cent). Its Drive show shed 1.9 percentage points following the departure of Marty Sheargold following a furious backlash to controversial comments he made about the Matildas in February.

Jackie ‘O' Henderson teased by Kyle Sandilands for sleeping with ‘rando' fan

Radio personality Jackie 'O' Henderson shared more details about her sex life on-air this morning on The Kyle & Jackie O Show. During an interview with OnlyFans star Annie Knight, Henderson was teased by co-host Kyle Sandilands for once sleeping with a fan of the show. 'Pick and chose those fans, bro,' he told a producer on-air, who said they had received a DM from a fan on the weekend. 'They're not all that good. Jackie found that out that hard way too, right Jackie?' 'No, that's not true. I have [slept with a fan] and he was lovely,' she replied as Sandilands continued to mock her for sleeping with a 'rando' she met while out clubbing years ago. 'He was in her ear and he goes, 'I can't believe I'm having sex with Kyle and Jackie O,' Sandilands claimed. 'He did not say you! You were not mentioned,' Henderson laughed. 'Stop inserting yourself into my story.' It was this time last year that Henderson first confessed to getting intimate with a fan. The 50-year-old said she decided to give the fan a go but things didn't go quite as she had hoped in the bedroom. 'He was a really big fan of the show. I don't mind that, if they listen to the show, I think that is good … I like that,' she said about the man, whose identity she did not disclose. 'It turns out he was a super fan. Halfway through sex, he says, 'I can't believe I'm having sex with Jackie O,'' she added of the man, who also said he felt like 'he was in a dream' when sleeping with her. Henderson said that although that was 'off-putting', she still found him to be lovely. 'It was so sweet. He was the sweetest guy,' she concluded. Elsewhere in that conversation, Sandilands asked his co-host if it was hard to date people, given she is 'a famous person'. 'I forget that part,' she replied. 'I'm just the same as them. You're vulnerable. You meet someone there's so much pressure.' Her latest sex life discussion comes one week after Henderson broke down in tears on-air as she spoke about her love live and manifesting a partner. 'How would you manifest your ideal partner when you don't have a vision of what they look like? How do you do that?' the radio host asked her guest, American author and motivational speaker Gabrielle Bernstein. 'I can't tap into that. But I also have done quite a lot of work on myself, and I didn't realise that I never felt good enough until I went deep,' Henderson added. 'And then it all came up and it was like a bloody pressure cooker and everything came out.' She added that finding love was tough while she was still working on herself an her sobriety journey. 'I know it takes a long time to do that. You know, to heal. I feel like I've been working on it for two and a half years, constantly,' she said.

Leaked audio of Kyle & Jackie O's explosive blow up that never aired - as Jackie 'O' Henderson STORMS OUT of studio in rage at 'gaslighting' co-host

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson are the best of friends. But it turns out the pair, who host the The Kyle & Jackie O Show together, had a knock down, drag out war while recording an episode of the KIIS FM breakfast radio show - and the segment never aired. The clip was played by the co-hosts this week as they called in psychotherapist and couple's counsellor Melissa Ferrari to analyse the audio and offer advice. In the recording, Kyle is heard goading Jackie about being 'off the with fairies' and taking calls instead of working. 'There's a lot you don't remember. Are you sure that you're the full quid?' Kyle began. 'I don't know if you are. Remember the other day when I said something about being on the phone and you said no I haven't? We all laughed because nearly every break you were on the phone, but you genuinely thought that you weren't'. Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson are the best of friends. But it turns out the pair, who host the The Kyle & Jackie O Show together, had a knock down, drag out war while recording an episode of the KIIS FM breakfast radio show - and the segment never aired. Both pictured Jackie snapped back: 'That actually annoys me, that you did that, because I was on the phone - I was researching stuff to do with the segment that was coming up and I specifically remember that you guys were like, "pay attention to do some work". 'And I was like hang on a sec. I was actually doing work on the phone.' Kyle hit back: 'That's fair enough. but you went on it hard that morning. You're away with the fairies. 'Show me the evidence of that cause I actually disagree' Jackie demanded. 'I don't have time to be looking for evidence, if you don't believe me that's fine by me. You protested a lot' Kyle said before claiming Jackie was distracted, 'the whole day'. 'It was literally 6.50 am that you said that. I don't know how it could be the whole day for a start' Jackie argued. 'I don't want to be made accusations and then people are laughing, "oh she was on the phone all day."' 'There's no accusation. We were laughing because you were off the fairies and you weren't paying attention and everyone spoke to you six times' Kyle said. 'Okay but I feel like I've been getting these things a lot lately' Jackie said. 'Because it has been happening a lot' Kyle hit back. 'Because I've actually been doing s**t over here, you guys don't even know what I'm doing here. Don't accuse me of not paying attention all the time when I actually am. I've got other stuff I'm doing here!' she rambled. 'Okay. I'll take your word for it. I don't mean to be combative with you' Kyle replied. 'Okay I'm going!' Jackie raged. 'I'm constantly getting f***ing gaslit around here!' she added, storming off. 'Can't mention anything to you ever. Can you believe it?' Kylie said as she left. The pair admitted they were angry at the time, but have since made up over the back and forth. It comes after good news for The Kyle & Jackie O Show, which under-performed in the Victorian capital during its multimillion dollar expansion last year. But it has had nothing but wins in the 2025 ratings war so far. After a 0.1 per cent increase in market share during survey one, Sydney 's hit duo Kyle, 53, and Jackie, 50, landed another 0.7 per cent of the Melbourne audience in the GfK survey two. Kyle had told his listeners that he had no plans to 'super serve Melbourne and ignore our Sydney audience' to increase ratings in the south. 'You either glue on in Melbourne or you [expletive]. One or the other. Here's something I haven't even discussed with Jackie... if we don't rate better by the end of this year, I'm pulling the carpet out,' he threatened. 'I'll just take the show off Melbourne... We're not just going to suck Melbourne off all day, every day.' Whether it was Kyle's expletive-filled threat or The Kyle & Jackie O Show's recently successful local broadcast at St Kilda Beach, the Sydney show has now achieved the biggest Breakfast market share growth in the latest survey. While the show seems to be in a steady incline, now sitting at a 5.8 per cent market share, Kyle and Jackie, 50, still have a long way to go before they reach the top of the scoreboard in Melbourne. While the dynamic duo continue to claw their way up the leaderboard in Melbourne, the Sydney juggernauts are still reigning supreme in FM Breakfast in their hometown Sydney, enjoying a market share lead of 12.3 percent.

Kyle Sandilands reveals wife Tegan Kynaston's gross find in her belly button while on vacation: 'Who have I married?'

Kyle Sandilands has revealed a nightmare ordeal he went through on a recent family vacation. Earlier this month, the shock jock, 53, was enjoying a relaxing getaway on Thailand 's luxe holiday island Koh Samui with wife Tegan Kynaston, 38, and son Otto, two. However, their idyllic tropical getaway soon turned to horror, the presenter revealed on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Thursday. Speaking to co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson and resident KIIS medico Dr Sam Hay, Kyle revealed that as he and Tegan sunned themselves on the beach, she became interested in the contents of her navel. 'There was this black thing and she squeezed it and squeezed it and like a core of blackness came out of it and she was grossed out, she was like: 'What's this?' Kyle admitted. Continuing, Kyle said that the shock substance, which he said was inhuman in appearance, was emanating from an old navel piercing. 'I was looking at it and I was thinking, "Who have I married?"' he said. 'There was sort of an alien coming out of her old hole and it was like a hard stick. I said, "Is that just gunk and filth? What is that s***?' The topic of conversation proved too much for Jackie who said: 'It's too early for this,' between gasps. It wasn't the case for Doctor Sam however, who could barely contain his excitement as he explained what the 'alien' substance was. 'It's probably a build-up of oil and dead skin which is part of why it goes black,' he said. 'It would've been in there like a little ball then she's squeezed it out and it's come out like a thick sausage.' Sensing Sam's dermatological glee, Kyle added: 'Look how excited he looks,' to which the medico replied; 'I would've loved to have squeezed it.' While there were no images of the couple's gross encounter, Kyle delighted fans by sharing a series of photos on social media, showcasing their family moments against the backdrop of the island's stunning tropical beaches. 'There was this black thing and she squeezed it and squeezed it and like a core of blackness came out of it and she was grossed out, she was like: 'what's this?' Kyle admitted One heartwarming snapshot captured Kyle and his toddler both beaming with joy as they took a break from building sandcastles. Another charming photo featured Kyle and Tegan, 39, radiantly posing at a beachside resort, completely at ease in their holiday bliss. In another memorable moment, Kyle was captured lounging on the sandy shores with a drink in hand, cheerfully greeting the camera. He captioned the gallery with some excited words: 'Hiiii from Ko Samui! #TheSandilands.' It comes as Kyle and Jackie O's KIIS FM breakfast radio show, which under-performed in the Victorian capital during its multimillion dollar expansion last year, has had nothing but wins in the 2025 ratings war so far. After a 0.1 per cent increase in market share during survey one, Sydney's hit landed another 0.7 per cent of the Melbourne audience in the GfK survey two which released on Thursday. Kyle originally told his Victorian listeners on Wednesday morning he had no plans to 'super serve Melbourne and ignore our Sydney audience' to increase ratings in the south. 'You either glue on in Melbourne or you [expletive]. One or the other. Here's something I haven't even discussed with Jackie... if we don't rate better by the end of this year, I'm pulling the carpet out,' he threatened. 'I'll just take the show off Melbourne... Whether it was Kyle's expletive-filled threat, or The Kyle & Jackie O Show's recently successful local broadcast at St Kilda Beach, the Sydney show has now achieved the biggest Breakfast market share growth in the latest survey. While the show seems to be in a steady incline, now sitting at a 5.8 per cent market share, Kyle and Jackie, 50, still have a ways to go before they reach the top of the scoreboard in Melbourne.
