7-Year-Old Lady Gaga Fan Has Dream Come True, 'Can't Believe' What He Sees
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A child's stunned reaction to seeing Lady Gaga live in concert has melted hearts across the internet, as fans praise his wide-eyed wonder and genuine love for the pop icon. Gina Antoniadis (@yo_its_gina), 42, from Henderson, Nevada, shared touching footage of her 7-year-old son, Sebastian, reacting in disbelief at finally seeing Gaga in the flesh at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 19. Gina told Newsweek: "We arrived early, and, while we were waiting outside, Sebastian kept spotting people dressed up like Gaga and thought each one was her! It was the sweetest thing; he was so excited and genuinely thought she might be right there among us. "When the show began, she appeared with dark hair as part of her good versus evil theme. Sebastian has always known her to be a blonde, so, for a moment, he wasn't quite sure if it was really her," Gina said. He follows up with another earnest question: why is her hair black? Gina explains that the pop star wears wigs. Sebastian's love for Lady Gaga isn't new. His dad, Athan Antoniadis, 40, has worked on Gaga's lighting crew for a decade, making the singer a familiar presence in the family's life. But it wasn't until three years ago, when his cousin Alex moved in, that Sebastian cemented himself as a "Little Monster." The two regularly host dance parties, perform the "Bad Romance" choreography, and even duet to "Shallow." Gina said: "It was honestly one of the most-joyful experiences of my life. For the first time, I wasn't just in 'parent mode.' I felt like I was experiencing the show with my best friend. "His innocent observations and questions always keep me laughing. His shared excitement was so genuine and real. He got to have fun, let loose and be apart of something big and beautiful. "This was our first concert together, and I can't wait to share this experience with my little dance partner again," said Gina. So cute he's going to remember that moment forever," wrote another user. "He must be protected at all costs," commented one viewer. "Why's her hair black? me when she wore the black long wig and not the blonde," said another fan who related to Sebastian's confusion. "I love this so much. This is how I felt. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing her!!" said another TikTok user. Gina summed up the emotional evening by saying: "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be able to bring him to this show. Lady Gaga Kickstarts The Mayhem Ball in Las Vegas: Compilation of Best Moments from the Night
Lady Gaga has hit the ball out of the park with her performance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The singer kickstarted The Mayhem Ball on July 16, where she offered the fans electric performances of her latest album's best songs. The actress-musician had announced the tour in March this year and expressed her excitement over her first tour in the Arena, since 2018. In the announcement statement she released earlier this year, Gaga mentioned, 'This is my first arena tour since 2018.' She further added, 'There's something electric about a stadium, and I love every moment of those shows. But with The MAYHEM Ball, I wanted to create a different kind of experience—something more intimate—closer, more connected—that lends itself to the live theatrical art I love to create.' Best moments from Lady Gaga's The Mayhem Ball The opening rush before the show was insane. The fans expressed their love for Lady Gaga in the pre-show event by recording text-in testimonials. As the singer hit the stage, she started the performance with Bloody Mary, which she also crooned to at Coachella. Throughout her whole act, Gaga went on to demonstrate her acting skills, which only enhanced her performance. Out of the many tracks pulled out efficiently by the musician, the fan favorite was Poker Face. Gaga welcomed the crowd to the concert, as she said, 'Welcome to Mayhem,' in a German accent. She further screamed, 'Welcome to the opera house. This is my house.' The singer soon began with her Poker Face performance, vibing with the audience on the Queen of Hearts-themed performance. Other standout tracks performed by the actress at the Mayhem Ball included Perfect Celebrity, Disease, Killah, and Paparazzi. For Killah, the musician donned a gothic look as she let herself loose in front of a large skull placed on the stage. She also carried out horror spins before unleashing a hellish and prolonged scream. For the final lap, Gaga, donning a black beanie and a Cramps t-shirt, crooned to How Bad Do You Want Me. For the last song, she simply existed as a human, sharing casual smiles with the fans, and ran around the stage. Addressing the crowd, the actress-singer said, 'Before I came on stage tonight, I couldn't even believe you were here for me.' Lady Gaga's next stop for the tour is in San Francisco, where she will perform on July 22.

Why Lady Gaga fans are furious about her new concert
Longtime concertgoers know that the price of seeing their faves perform has been on an upsetting trajectory for too long (and the older you are, the more likely you'll remember grunge legends Pearl Jam spearheading one of the first charges against Ticketmaster (LYV) back in 1994). Unfortunately, the problems are far from solved. The majority of high-profile performers still use Live Nation and its subsidiary Ticketmaster to sell tickets to their concerts, and while it makes sense to pay a higher price to see an artist like Lady Gaga versus a small indie band that's lesser known, the cost of even a single ticket is enough to send even a financially well-off fan into a panic. Don't miss the move: SIGN UP for TheStreet's FREE Daily newsletter For example, in a Reddit discussion about Taylor Swift's Eras tour that took place from 2023 to 2024, some users confessed to paying as much as $10,000 for a pair of seats. While others went for more affordable nosebleeds for a few hundred bucks, the message was loud and clear: seeing these artists from a decent seat in the house might cost more than your mortgage. Knowing all this, it's no surprise that when presale tickets for Lady Gaga's The MAYHEM Ball tour went on sale on March 31, the prices caused some upset among her fandom (who go by the nickname "Little Monsters"). Thanks to Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing system, which adjusts ticket prices in real time based on demand, some single seats cost as much as $5,000. In a post on Reddit, a fan called out Lady Gaga for not choosing to turn off the dynamic pricing option, which artists are able to opt out of when working with Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Cure, and Oasis have all opted out in the past. Related: Ticketmaster's monopoly explained by a legal expert "There's no excuse. Other artists have shown you can apply pressure on Ticketmaster and get this feature turned off," user Daltire wrote. "I'm extremely disappointed in Gaga that there are face-value tickets in my home venue (Toronto Scotiabank theatre) going for like $5,000 and nosebleeds for $500-600. You shouldn't need to be rich to attend a show. So many of her fans (LGBTQ+ people, transgender people, sex workers, working class young people), cannot afford that. It wasn't like this before. Gaga should have done something to prevent this, period. I love her still but I'm so disappointed." While fans have continued to rail against Ticketmaster, going as far as to organize Take Down Ticketmaster and file three individual lawsuits, the issue rose to a larger scale when the Justice Department filed an antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster in May 2024, citing monopolization and unlawful conduct. That suit is ongoing, although a recent ruling by US. District Judge Arun Subramanian squashed Ticketmaster's request to throw out the claim stating that Live Nation seduces artists into using its services to gain access to its large system of performance venues. President Donald Trump also signed an executive order on April 1 that addresses the issue, directing the Federal Trade Commission to "take enforcement action to prevent unfair, deceptive, and anti-competitive conduct in the secondary ticketing market." The order also directs Attorney General Pam Bondi and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to see that scalpers reselling tickets at a higher cost comply with all Internal Revenue Service rules. Erykah Badu talks new music, love of touring
Singer-songwriter Erykah Badu is opening up on what's next in her illustrious career. Badu discussed new music and her love of touring in an interview with Billboard while attending the Billboard Women in Music event over the weekend. The five-time Grammy winner was asked in the interview what it was like to work on a full album for the first time since her 2010 release, "New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)." "I mean, I've put out other music but it feels good, it feels natural to me," she said. Erykah Badu opens up about exploring fashion, her work as a doula and more Badu then discussed her love of playing music out on the road, calling herself a "touring artist." "As a touring artist, we create moments. As a recording artist, I create memories, but those moments are very important to me," she said. Badu recently expressed similar sentiments in a separate interview with Billboard published March 19. "That's what I do. I am a performance artist. I am not a recording artist. I come from the theater. It's the immediate reaction between you and the audience and the immediate feeling. The point where you become one living, breathing organism with people. That's what I live for. It's my therapy. And theirs, too. We're in it together. And I like the idea that it happens only once," she said at the time.
