Parliament Monsoon Session Day 4 Live Updates: Rajya Sabha MPs Ranjeet Ranjan and Akhilesh Prasad Singh have submitted a suspension of Business Notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267, demanding discussion on the constitutional and electoral implications of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in Bihar. During the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal will move The Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024 for passage. The purpose of the Bill is to update and unify the laws related to merchant shipping in India. Meanwhile, the parliament monsoon session saw a chaotic adjournment on Wednesday, with the Opposition's protests demanding discussions on Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor, leading to the adjournment of both houses. The INDIA bloc leaders have also protested against Bihar's SIR issue outside the Parliament on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a detailed 16-hour-long discussion is set to be held on Operation Sindoor starting from July 28. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the debate after concluding his foreign visit to UK and Maldives. The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to respond to the detailed deliberations in the House.
