50 Cent reacts immediately to Diddy verdict after long-standing feud

Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. 50 Cent was quick to react to the Sean 'Diddy' Combs verdict Wednesday – seemingly hailing the disgraced rapper for beating the feds before quickly dubbing him 'the Gay John Gotti.' 'Diddy beat the Feds that boy a bad man!' the rapper said in an Instagram post alongside a photo of himself grinning and applauding emojis. 50 Cent, who has a longstanding feud with the disgraced music mogul, then compared him to the infamous Mafia boss who was nicknamed 'The Teflon Don' after prosecutors couldn't get charges to stick, The NY Post reports. 'Beat the Rico, he the Gay John Gotti,' the rapper added. US rapper Curtis James Jackson III aka '50 Cent'. Picture: AP. The 'In Da Club' hip-hop artist was name-dropped during the trial back in May during shocking testimony that touched on the longstanding feud between the hip-hop legends. Diddy's ex-assistant, Capricorn Clark, had told jurors her boss once implied he might pull a gun on Fitty. 'I don't like all the back and forth … I like guns,' Clark recalled Combs telling his manager after seeing 50 Cent at an MTV event. 50 Cent – who famously took nine bullets during a 2000 shooting in Queens – reacted to the name-drop with mocking faux fear. 'Wait a minute PUFFY's got a gun, I can't believe this I don't feel safe,' the New York City native posted on Instagram after the testimony. 'LOL.' The beef between the pair began nearly 20 years ago after 50 Cent, whose real name Curtis James Jackson III, released a diss track — 'The Bomb' — in 2006 that accused Combs of knowing who killed The Notorious B.I.G. He spent much of the Combs' sex-trafficking trial roasting him over the torrent of graphic evidence and accusations levelled against him. The Bad Boy Records founder was ultimately found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted on two sex-trafficking charges and one racketeering charge. The acquittals on the sex trafficking counts mean he will avoid a 15-year mandatory minimum sentence. He could have faced life in prison if he were convicted on sex trafficking or racketeering conspiracy. Combs now faces a maximum 10-year prison sentence on each of the two prostitution counts. Watch: Cowboy Hat-Wearing "Jake The Rizzbot" Interacts With People

A talking robot has astounded both - the Austin residents and the online community - with its mastery of Gen Z and Gen Alpha vocabulary. Meet Jake the Rizzbot, a child-sized AI-powered robot, which is operated using a wireless controller. Fitted with a silver chain and a fake cowboy hat on its head, the machine has "IN TRAINING" printed on its chest. Videos of Jake interacting with people at The Domain in downtown Austin and North Austin have surfaced on social media. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jesse Hernandez (@jesseh7203) The bot tried to jog down pavements and even chatted to amazed onlookers and impressed Austin residents with his "rizz." On the recent test run, Jake's owner was excited to show off his newest device and enjoyed informing onlookers that they "might get to see it faint" when Jake's battery began to run low. "Hey! I'm Jake, but you might know me better as Rizzbot. It's nice to meet you," Jake said in a viral video, before immediately launching into the laudatory adulation. "You look clean, nephew. That moustache is hard and that beard is cold, ma homie. That white t-shirt is amazing, and that black wristwatch is completely frosted out," Jake added. The bot used several Gen Z and Gen Alpha words, saying, "You've got that badass energy G, that clean drip locked down, and you're rocking it in style. Props to you, you are a solid boss 'fo real." People on the internet were astounded by Jake's flicks, and some were even concerned about the implications of bots like him for the development of artificial intelligence. "More like glaze bot holyyy," one user commented. "Jake always been a chill guy," a second comment read. "The first iteration of the terminator," said one. The robot stands at four feet tall and weighs 170 kg. It was created by China-based Unitree Robotics, which debuted the Unitree G1 humanoid agent in May, as per The NY Post. The Unitree website states that the price is approximately $16,000 (almost Rs 13.7 lakh), although it frequently varies. The robot is intended to function as an "AI avatar" that grows "based on deep reinforcement learning and simulation training."

‘The Simpsons' producer breaks silence on Marge Simpson's shocking death after fan backlash

Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News. 'The Simpsons' executive producer Matt Selman has spoken out about the surprising decision to 'kill off' Marge Simpson during a flashforward scene in the show's Season 36 finale. X SUBSCRIBER ONLY Although the move caused major controversy within the hit cartoon's loyal fanbase, Selman slammed the backlash and claimed that it was 'ridiculous', The NY Post reports. 'Obviously, since 'The Simpsons' future episodes are all speculative fantasies, they're all different every time,' he told Variety during an interview published on Thursday, June 26. 'Marge will probably never be dead ever again. The only place Marge is dead is in one future episode that aired six weeks ago,' Selman, 53, added. ''The Simpsons' doesn't even have canon!' The episode in question, titled 'Estranger Things' and which aired on May 18, focuses on siblings Bart and Lisa Simpson as they slowly grow apart after they stop watching 'The Itchy & Scratchy Show' together. Lisa and Bart found a letter from their mother, who it's confirmed has passed. After a 35-year time jump, the audience learns that Marge has died, Bart and Lisa are estranged, and Homer Simpson, the family's dad, is living in a retirement home. A short scene from Marge's funeral shows Homer in tears while the rest of the Simpsons family stands around him. At the end of the Season 36 finale, Marge watches from Heaven as Bart and Lisa save their dad from the retirement home and reconnect over a reboot of 'The Itchy & Scratchy Show.' 'I'm so happy my kids are close again,' the Simpsons family matriarch says. From left: Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson, Marge Simpson and Lisa Simpson. Picture: ©20thCentFox/Courtesy Everett Collection Marge is seen with Ringo Starr up in the clouds. It is then revealed that Marge met and married Beatles superstar Ringo Starr while in Heaven. But viewers were not happy to learn that the show's creators 'killed off' Marge Simpson, and many took to social media to express their shock and outrage. 'I haven't even watched The Simpsons in 10+ years but they really killed MARGE?!' one person wrote on X after the episode aired. 'What's this I'm hearing they killed Marge Simpson off?' another fan added. 'Marge Simpson is dead?' a third critic commented. 'Utter woke nonsense!' Surprisingly, Selman welcomed the backlash and claimed that it was further proof that 'The Simpsons' and its beloved characters are still relevant after 36 years on TV. 'I guess this speaks to the fact that people care about Marge,' he told Variety. 'At the end of the day, it's probably good for business even when these ridiculous, misleading stories go viral!' 'The Simpsons,' which premiered on Fox in 1989, remains the longest-running animated show on television. Fox renewed the show, which has won 37 Emmys, for four more seasons in April. No Family, No English: Indian Woman Missing After Flying To US

A 24-year-old Indian woman who arrived in the United States for a reported arranged marriage has gone missing, authorities have said. Simran Simran was last seen shortly after her arrival from India in New Jersey on June 20. Surveillance footage reviewed by Lindenwold police showed her checking her phone and seemingly waiting for someone. Officers said she did not appear to be in distress in the video. Ms Simran was reported missing on Wednesday, five days after her arrival, police confirmed. Officials investigating her disappearance said a preliminary probe revealed she travelled to the US for an arranged marriage. Authorities are also exploring the possibility that the marriage was an excuse to obtain free airfare to America, as per The NY Post. Ms Simran has no known relatives in the United States and does not speak English, police said. Her only phone is an international device that functions solely through Wi-Fi. Authorities have so far been unable to reach any family members in India. "At this time there are no known family members in India to contact to obtain information on her possible whereabouts," Lindenwold police said on Thursday, as per Patch News. Ms Simran is described as being five feet, four inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kg), with a small scar on the left side of her forehead. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a white T-shirt, black flip-flops, and small diamond-studded earrings. Anyone with information about her whereabouts has been requested to contact Lindenwold Police Detective Joe Tomasetti.

How Zohran Mamdani's Win Came With Support From Asian, Black, Voters

New Delhi: Queens assemblyman Zohran Mamdani's surprise win over former Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York City's Democratic mayoral primary came courtesy of support from progressive bastions in Brooklyn. The 33-year-old also made inroads into the Black, Hispanic, and Asian demographics that Mr Cuomo was expected to dominate. Early ranked-choice voting data show Mr Mamdani ran up his numbers in Brooklyn's "crunchy granola" districts, winning more than 20,000 votes in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, and Crown Heights, compared to Mr Cuomo's 5,500. In Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, and Carroll Gardens, Mr Mamdani again led decisively, with 19,000 votes to Cuomo's 6,900, The NY Post reported. "Mamdani developed a much broader coalition than you might have expected from the fact he was a [Democratic Socialists of America] candidate," said John Mollenkopf, director of the Center for Urban Research at CUNY (City University of New York). Mr Mamdani convinced communities that typically leaned towards moderate Democrats. He outperformed expectations in majority Black and Hispanic areas, chipping away at Mr Cuomo's presumed base of middle-of-the-road voters. Zohran Mamdani also carried parts of Kensington, home to a large Orthodox Jewish population, with more than 70 per cent of the vote, despite being a vocal critic of "genocidal" Israel and facing repeated accusations of antisemitism throughout the campaign. He also won College Point in Queens, a district represented by Republican Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who had called to "deport" him during the race. "The ignorance of people never ceases to amaze me," Ms Paladino said Wednesday. "He motivated a base that was non-existent, OK? He got all these super, super young people. Got some older folks. But for the most part, it was a new brand of people and that's what he did." According to CUNY's data, 45 per cent of Mr Mamdani's support came from predominantly white neighbourhoods with a high concentration of New York City natives. He won big in Asian communities, too. In Woodside, Queens, Mr Mamdani took more than 65 per cent of the vote. He also carried Manhattan's Chinatown. "Zohran's come-from-behind victory was bolstered by a surge of Asian support who were encouraged by his ability to connect to people," said State Senator John Liu (D-Queens), a Mamdani supporter. "Not by talking at them, but by listening to them, and communicating new ideas about how to improve our city for everyone." If elected in November, Zohran Mamdani would become New York City's first mayor of South Asian descent.
