Glow Like Scarlett Johansson With Her Go-to Face Cream That's 50% Off for Prime Day
In a world where there are countless celebrity skincare brands, I always wonder if any of the founders actually use the products they produce. One of the only stars who has been completely loyal to her own line is Scarlett Johansson. The 40-year-old actress put so much time and effort into crafting her gentle skincare, and she has told multiple outlets that her formulas are part of her 'daily routine.' Personally, that sold it for me, but I'm even more inclined to repurchase now that the line is up to 50% off for Amazon Prime Day! As someone who has tried everything from The Outset, there are definitely some standouts from the line. And one that doesn't get enough attention is the Cool Cream Smoothing Mask. This soothing mask flies relatively under the radar compared to The Outset's other offerings, but it's one of the best — and it's currently 50% off. SEE IT! I prefer this mask to most other options because it doesn't have to be washed off. The plush, pillowy soft texture melts into skin and feels like a tall glass of water for my complexion — a much-appreciated sensation after the hottest summer days. The immediate cooling sensation is courtesy of electric daisy which combats wrinkles and signs of fatigue like discoloration and rough texture. Along with arnica and The Outset's signature Hyaluroset Complex, this gives skin a total refresh, so I look radiant and well-rested by the next morning. A few Amazon shoppers compare it to cold cream, minus the cleansing capabilities. 'Smear it on thick, wait a bit and your skin feels soft and moisturized,' one reviewer writes. Another shopper says it made such a significant difference after the first use that she wishes it came in an extra large size to use all over her body. 'My facial wrinkles were very visibly softened, and I even looked more relaxed. I also put some on my neck and it made a big difference. I'm going to start using this on the back of my hands too.' BRB I'm stocking up on the mask before it goes back to full price! SEE IT! Get for $22 (originally $44) at Amazon! Please note prices are accurate as of the publishing date but are subject to change. Scarlett Johansson launches Jurassic World skin survival kits
Scarlett Johansson's beauty brand The Outset has launched skin survival kits in collaboration with her new movie Jurassic World Rebirth. The actress is back on the big screen being chased by dinosaurs in the latest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and she's now produced a field bag containing a collection of skincare products which she used during filming to keep her complexion looking radiant. In a post on Instagram, Scarlett wrote of the collaboration: "These were the products I relied on throughout filming to keep my skin hydrated and looking radiant no matter what." In a video posted online, she went on to explain: "What you don't get to see is that we filmed in Thailand, in the jungle for months, in open water and our skin was truly put through it. "We filmed in a lot of harsh climates … My skin survived Jurassic World Rebirth because of The Outset and the consistency of my everyday essentials." The Outset Skin Survival Kits comes in two sizes - a collection of travel sizes for £41 and a pack of full sizes for £108. The collections contain products from The Outset including the Gentle Micellar Cleanser, Nourishing Squalane Moisturizer and the Rescue Balm housed in a dark green cosmetics bag. A message posted on The Outset's website explained: "Skin feeling parched from the elements - land, air, or sea? We've got you. "In honor of our founder Scarlett Johansson's leading role in Jurassic World Rebirth, we've teamed up with Universal Pictures to bring you the ultimate Skin Survival Kit. "This collaboration features a 10-day supply of Scarlett's everyday go-to clean skincare essentials that she used to keep her skin barrier hydrated and protected throughout filming, packaged in our limited edition utilitarian-chic Field Bag ... "The Skin Survival Kit is a must after a long day on set (and fighting dinosaurs)."

Scarlett Johansson Spills Her Skincare Secrets For Filming ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth'
Scarlett Johansson with The Outset Botanical Barrier Rescue Balm Filming Jurassic World: Rebirth brought Scarlett Johansson around the world. Anyone who has ever globetrotted knows the havoc it can wreak on your complexion. But the secret to keeping Johansson's skin healthy, happy and beautiful was an obvious one: Her skincare line The Outset. 'We filmed in some pretty intense environments—hot, humid jungles one week, and dry, dusty landscapes the next,' Johansson says. 'My skincare routine had to stay consistent, but I leaned heavily on hydration and barrier protection. The Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser was my go-to every night to remove all the grime without stripping my skin, I can't live without our Prep Serum, and the Nourishing Daily Moisturizer kept me feeling balanced and calm no matter where we were. And I never travel without our Botanical Barrier Rescue Balm—it's my little skin security blanket.' To celebrate the flick, which hits theaters July 2, The Outset partnered with Universal Pictures to launch two limited-edition Jurassic World: Rebirth Skin Survival Kits. 'It's really, truthfully, what she was using while she out there,' says Joanne Sulit, Chief Marketing & Operations Officer of The Outset. 'Her mainstay all year long, no matter what she's doing, is the three step, and that's why it was developed, because this is Scarlett's key to being able to do a good skincare routine and get out the door in under three minutes. It's our cleanser, the prep serum and the moisturizer, and then our Rescue Balm, which is a multi-purpose balm. She's used it for everything from taming flyaways to cuticles. But when she was out in the elements, she was actually using it on cuts that she was getting from scraping against trees and things like that. That is the one product that she always, always, always has on her. We couldn't have imagined it any better.' The Set 1: Skin Survival Kit includes the Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser, Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum, Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturizer, Botanical Barrier Rescue Balm, an exclusive Zora Bennett Collectible Card featuring Johansson's character and The Field Bag. Set 2: Skin Survival Kit: Escape Minis include the same products, but in travel sizes, also tucked into The Field Bag along with the Zora Bennett Collectible Card. The Outset Jurassic World Skin Survival Kit The partnership was a natural fit. 'First off, Universal are huge collaborators,' Sulit says. 'This is a massive summer blockbuster for them. When we were talking to Scarlett while she was away filming, she kept coming back to this idea that she's in all these different temperatures and climates, and The Outset is the only skincare that she's using. She would be in the jungle for two months, and she's using the products, then she would be in London shooting in a studio. It's a lot of makeup, it's a lot of her being out in the elements. The skincare followed her no matter where she was. We had been in touch with Universal about any opportunities for us to do things together, and this kit was a clear connection between the two. This is our skin survival kit. It's everything that Scarlett used while she was filming this movie, no matter what elements she was in. And Jurassic obviously being such a notable franchise, it made sense for us that we positioned this as hydration for all elements.' Johansson echoes the sentiment, sharing the partnership was an organic one. 'I've never done anything quite like Jurassic World: Rebirth—it's bold, adventurous and totally immersive,' she says. 'It felt like the perfect moment to partner with The Outset because the theme of survival—whether it's facing extreme elements or just everyday life—is so relevant to skincare. Plus, it was a fun way to show how our gentle, barrier-supporting formulas really do stand up to anything…even dinosaurs.' Exclusive to the sets, the Field Bag was inspired by the movie's wardrobe. 'When she's in the jungle, you'll see everything is very khaki utilitarian,' Sulit says. 'It was the intersection between what's trending now and utilitarian chic. We make it feel like it belongs in the film. The bag is really cool; it's like a one of those classic AV jackets with the green nylon on the outside and the orange on the inside, which are two colors that appear in all of the Jurassic promo materials as well. Especially with the outside pocket, it's a very functional bag.' The Outset had fun with the marketing campaign, particularly with The Skin Survival Hotline, which will be available starting today through July 31. The hotline will be advertised via street-style flyers in key neighborhoods across major cities, with pull tabs with the phone number. 'It's capitalizing on her iconic voice,' Sulit says. Anyone can call the hotline at 917-444-5564. 'I love that the signs aren't branded—they just pop up, mysterious and a little cryptic,' Johansson says. 'When people call the number, they're expecting something dramatic... and instead, they get me, with a skincare tip. It's unexpected and fun—a surprise-and-delight moment for both moviegoers and beauty fans. And I loved filming our 'infomercial.' It's a throwback!' The video has a grainy texture to it, reminiscent of what you'd see on an old school tube TV. 'I'm obsessed with it,' Sulit says. 'It's totally Miss Cleo vibes. There are some things that we're doing that are a little bit more traditional, like the social collaborations and an early screening for our VIPs. We've also added a couple of other layers that make it feel a little bit more intimate because it's not just a The Outset and Jurassic World collaboration, because Scarlett is our founder, and she's the star of their movie, so we wanted to bring in elements that felt more authentic and personal to her.' Scarlett Johansson presents the film "Jurassic World Rebirth" onstage during the CinemaCon 2025 Universal Pictures and Focus Features presentation at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 2, 2025. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) It's these unique touches that Sulit loves most about the campaign, along with the fact that the films resonate across generations. 'I'm more of an OG Jurassic Park fan,' Sulit says. 'We have some people here that are more Jurassic World. Personally, we're all really invested in this because it's a franchise that we all watch and love, but seeing Scarlett's engagement has been the best part. This has been a personal project for her on all fronts. For us to be able to bring something as special as the skincare brand together with a project that she's so passionate about has been the most exciting thing. Universal is as excited because we're not trying to fit something in backwards—it just totally makes sense.' You don't have to be outrunning dinosaurs to appreciate skincare products that stand up to the challenge. 'Our formulas are clean, minimal and made to support your skin barrier—which is really your first line of defense, whether you're on a film set, on a plane or literally running from a CGI raptor,' Johansson says. 'They're super gentle but hardworking, and they help your skin adapt to whatever's going on around you without irritation or overwhelm.' For Johansson, uniting all of the elements was her favorite part of working on the collaboration. 'Honestly, blending two very different worlds—beauty and dinosaurs—was such a creative challenge, and I loved every minute of it,' she says. 'It let us show the versatility and strength of The Outset in a totally unexpected way. Plus, the limited-edition dopp kit looks amazing. Utilitarian-chic is on trend and the bag is so roomy and useful! I hope people have as much fun with this collection as we did creating it. At the end of the day, The Outset is about being gentle on yourself—no matter what life throws at you. Even if it's a T. rex.'

'I tried Scarlett Johansson's skincare trio and one stays in my handbag'
The Outset is a skincare range that takes shoppers back to basics with hydrating ingredients and gentle formulas to boost skin radiance. How does it fare on blemish-prone skin? Celebrities have been considered the original influencers but with so many A-listers starting their own beauty brands, putting their faces as brand ambassadors does not make the cut anymore. But some of them are actually getting it right. Scarlett Johansson's skincare brand, The Outset, is one of the brands that is developed to treat the actress' stressed skin and while I didn't have sensitive skin, I do suffer breakouts, so I was excited to try the Scarlett Johansson's skincare range, including the Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum, Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturiser and Lip Oasis. Shoppers can get the Prep Serum for £46, Daily Moisturiser for £44 and Lip Oasis for £22. I incorporated the items in my daily morning and night time routine and my skin has improved a lot in terms of clarity and radiance. The Black Widow star explained that her products helped calm irritated skin, saying: "For years, I struggle with skin sensitivities that diminished my self confidence and occupied my thoughts. When I quit the harsh products and switched to a gentle, simple, and consistent routine that infused my skin with moisture, my skin barrier began to heal. "My healthiest skin started when I returned to the basics and nurtured this vital organ, versus trying to 'fix' it. I realised the power of a gentle and hydrating approach to skincare, and I wanted to bring this philosophy to the world with The Outset." The Vegan Collagen Prep Serum (£46 on Cult Beauty) is my second step to prep my skin for hydration. With the active ingredient Pullulan as the alternative to traditional collagen, it provides a firming effect, promoting a smoother appearance. It also contains Brassica Napus Seedcake Extract, clinically proven to improve the look of hyperpigmentation. I found the prep serum very soothing and quick to absorb into skin, it definitely did a good job on retaining hydration overnight. It takes time for dark spots, sun spots and acne marks to fade so I have to admit that I haven't noticed any reduction in hyperpigmentation during my 14-day trial but I always finish my skincare with SPF50. If plumped skin is the main goal to youthful skin, I would recommend Kiehl's HydroPlumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate (now £41.60, was £52), the gel-to-liquid serum delivered a "filler effect" to smooth out lines and I've used it in hot 35C country and it didn't leave a bit of greasy touch. The Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturiser (£44), is packed with soothing botanical extracts including olive-sourced skincare superhero squalene to reduce the look of redness and improve skin's texture and tone by fortifying the skin barrier. Also containing avocado oil to nourish skin, two pumps of the cream left my face slightly greasy, so I would advise shoppers to go for one pump instead if you have combination skin like me. Trinny London's See The Light Moisturiser, £46, is another option but with an added benefit of SPF50 Last but not least, a handy lip balm. The Outset's Lip Oasis - available in clear and tinted colours like Sun Kiss, Dune and Mirage - is what Scarlett called it as "high shine meets nourishing barrier protection". The unique applicator reminds me of a mini satellite disc and yet it does make it easier to distribute the product on my pout without leaving any residue. Shoppers who subscribe to The Outset mailing list and enjoy 20% off discount. Instead of £22, the Lip Oasis is dropped to £17.60. The Lip Oasis delivers a "glass shine" in just one swipe but I need to squeeze hard when I'm half way through the tube. On the other hand, Laneige's new Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum, £19, comes with a plush silicone applicator in the shape of a doughnut (yum!). It has six colours with each paired with a doughnut scent.

EXCLUSIVE Colin Jost reveals awkward moment with 10-year-old stepdaughter whom he shares with wife Scarlett Johansson
Colin Jost has recounted a very awkward moment with his 10-year-old stepdaughter Rose Dorothy during a sweet father-daughter dinner last year. The 42-year-old SNL comedian, who shares Rose Dorothy and three-year-old son Cosmo with wife Scarlett Johansson, revealed how he had dined out with the pre-teen when she made a comment that stunned the other patrons into silence. Speaking to audiences at his stand-up show at the St George Theater in Staten Island on Thursday night, Colin admitted that the remark prompted other guests to look over and that he didn't know how to react. Recalling the moment, Colin began: 'My stepdaughter, I've known since she was two so we're really close. She's 10 now and this last Father's Day, we went out to dinner together, which was so cool. 'We went together, and she got dressed up, which was really nice. I didn't see to what extent she had gotten dressed up. 'And so, we went to dinner at this fancy restaurant, which was quiet, and somewhere in the middle of dinner, she leans into to me, which I thought was an interesting combination because she leaned in but still spoke at a full volume… 'But she leaned in and just whispers to me, but in full volume, she goes, "I wore fishnets for you."' A red-faced Colin continued: 'We were in this really nice restaurant and I was like, "No Ingles." 'She leaned in and said I wore fishnets for you for Daddy's Day. I was like, "where did you learn the phrase Daddy's Day?" 'And everyone in the restaurant was looking over, and I didn't know what to say. Is it better or worse to say, "It's fine, she's my daughter?" So that's great.' Scarlett shares her little girl with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, to whom she was married from 2014 to 2017. Colin and Scarlett married in 2020, having got engaged two years into their relationship. Last month, Scarlett explained she prioritizes her children's 'anonymity' and 'privacy' online over being perceived as a cool mom. During an interview with InStyle, the movie star went on to recall a recent conversation with Rose, who told her she 'would love to make videos for The Outset.' After the mother-of-two nixed the idea, Scarlett said her preteen fired back: 'Why can't I?' In addition to telling Rose that she is too young, the mom-of-two explained: 'The thing about being a public figure is that the idea of being recognizable and celebrated feels fun, but then you can never stuff it back in the bottle.' From her own experience working in the entertainment industry over the past three decades, the two-time Oscar nominee reflected on how fame comes with a 'massive loss.' 'I think preserving [your privacy] for as long as possible until it's someone's choice, that's the choice I make as far as my kids go,' the New York native emphasized. Scarlett went on to address how she enjoys buying her 'own s**t' at Duane Reade and has a personal policy about not taking photos with fans when off duty. 'It really offends a lot of people. It doesn't mean I'm not appreciative, of course, that people are fans, or happy to see me,' she said. 'But I always say to people, "I'm not working." [And that means] I don't want to be identified as being in this time and place with you. I'm doing my own thing.' Although the actress rarely speaks about her kids publicly, Scarlett revealed in January that she already began teaching Rose about the nuances of dating.
