For the latest updates, follow us @ArabNewsSport Part of Riyadh Season, the event will feature four headline bouts for major world titles. Leading the fight card is the WBO world welterweight title clash between American star Devin Haney and compatriot Brian Norman Jr. Haney enters the bout with a perfect record of 32 wins (15 by knockout), aiming to become a three-division world champion. This is his second fight at welterweight after defeating Arnold Barboza Jr. in the inaugural The Ring event held at Times Square. Norman Jr., who also has an undefeated record of 28 wins (22 by knockout), comes into the fight fresh off a dominant KO victory against Japan's Jin Sasaki, whom he stopped with a powerful left hook in the fifth round. In the second title bout, David Benavidez, the reigning WBC light heavyweight champion, take on British contender Anthony Yarde. Benavidez is unbeaten in 30 fights, including 24 knockouts, and will be making his first title defense. Yarde enters the ring with a record of 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses, seeking to dethrone the American in what is expected to be an explosive encounter. With both fighters known for their high knockout ratios and aggressive styles, this bout is considered one of the most anticipated matchups among the new wave of lightweight contenders. The night will conclude with a super flyweight (super bantamweight) showdown between US champion Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez and Argentina's undefeated Fernando Martinez. Rodriguez has 21 wins (14 by knockout), while Martinez has 18 wins, including 9 knockouts, with no losses. David Benavidez vs Anthony Yarde headlines stacked card as Devin Haney boxes knockout artist Brian Norman Jr

Another stacked card has been announced by The Ring magazine, with four world-title fights scheduled in Saudi Arabia on 22 November. Headlining The Ring IV show will be the all-American clash between WBO welterweight title holder Brian Norman Jr (28-0, 22 knockouts) and challenger Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs), while Britain's Anthony Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) has been handed a shot at WBC light-heavyweight champion David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs). Formerly undisputed at lightweight, Haney is aiming to become a three-weight world champion in just his second fight at welterweight, having defeated Jose Ramirez in unconvincing fashion during The Ring's first promotion, hosted in Times Square in May. Norman Jr is currently the youngest reigning world champion, retaining his belt with a brutal knockout of Jin Sasaki in June. Benavidez was upgraded to full WBC champion at 175lb in April after undisputed light-heavyweight champ Dmitry Bivol prioritised a trilogy bout with Artur Beterbiev. Yarde has previously fought for a world title on two occasions but came up short twice; the 33-year-old was defeated by Sergey Kovalev for the WBO strap in 2019 before being knocked out by Beterbiev in 2023. The card, titled 'Night of the Champions', will also produce a new beltholder, with the WBO's top-rated lightweights Abdullah Mason (19-0, 17 KOs) and Briton Sam Noakes (17-0, 15 KOs), going head-to-head for the vacant belt at 135lb. Previous WBO champ Keyshawn Davis was stripped of his belt after failing to make weight for his cancelled bout with Edwin De Los Santos in June, leading to Mason, ranked No 1, and Noakes, rated at No 2, to face off to become champion. There is the potential for the card to produce an undisputed champion, but only if a preceding fight goes to plan for Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez (21-0, 14 KOs). Already WBC champion at super-flyweight, Rodriguez hopes to unify his current strap with the WBO belt at 115lb by defeating Phumelela Cafu later this month. If Rodriguez manages to double his tally of belts, his bout with IBF and WBA champion Fernando Martinez (18-0, 9 KOs) would crown a first undisputed champion at super-featherweight in the history of the sport.
