The talks have reportedly been impacted by recent leadership changes and merger developments involving Skydance. Parker and Stone have publicly voiced their frustration with the situation, previously calling the behind-the-scenes process chaotic and inconsistent. Despite this, the creators remain involved in content production and have completed episodes for the upcoming season. In the US, South Park remains available on HBO Max under a separate streaming arrangement that has been temporarily extended. Internationally, however, viewers will need to rely on Comedy Central broadcasts or other regional platforms for access until a new agreement is reached.
