Shuffle | June 26 - July 9 On this episode of Shuffle, we've brought you a hefty selection of fresh jams that came out over the last fortnight, featuring the likes of Felukah, Zeyne, Kokym, Oualid and more. In this new edition of our bi-weekly multi-genre playlist, 'Shuffle', we've brought you fresh jams from across the region and beyond, featuring new releases from Zeyne, Felukah, and Oualid. Gearing up for her new album, scheduled for release within a few months, NYC-based Egyptian rapper and singer-songwriter Felukah revealed the first preview single, 'Danger'. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Erykah Badu, Felukah revisits the sound of her earliest releases, skimming through influences of soul, R&B and hip-hop. Through playful and cheeky lyricism, she reflects on her status in the scene and calls out her haters with smooth flows. Rising Moroccan artist NISY taps into the Y2K internet nostalgia on her latest bilingual single 'Mindly' from her debut EP 'RIP The Dragon'. Produced by Earthtone and recorded in London, the track blends hyperpop sparkle with UK 2-step and glitchy, garage-infused sounds. Palestinian-Jordanian R&B artist Zeyne has released 'Hilwa', a joyful and powerful single that celebrates her multicultural heritage, and promotes a message of empowerment and self-acceptance for Arab women. Meanwhile, Egyptian rap stars Ziad Zaza and Lege-Cy ventured into a more pop-leaning sound, infused with shaabi and hip-hop influences, with their debut joint single, 'Wala Meen', produced by Ismail Nosrat. Additionally, Palestinian alternative pop artist Kokym returned with 'Mish American', a subversive socio-political commentary on the Westernised perception of Arab identity. The track features samples of Fouad Hijazi's 1970s song 'Mani Frengi'. The playlist features Rita Malek with 'Habba', Bayou and Tawsen with 'Kayani' and ilmond joining Begad on a stripped-down, melancholic tune 'Ensan'. Amman Music Festival Announces Full 2025 Lineup July 10th-11th
Taking place at Amman Golf Club, the festival will feature Frankey & Sandrino, The Synaptik, Avö, El Waili, Shehab and more. Jun 03, 2025 Amman Music Festival, considered Jordan's first and largest multi-genre music festival, has recently unveiled the full lineup for its 2025 edition, taking place at Amman Golf Club from July 10th to July 11th. The festival is bringing over a star-studded roster of over 30 international, regional and local artists to perform across three open-air stages: The Mirage, The Citadel, and The Obelisk. Featured on the bill is German electronic duo Frankey & Sandrino, Romanian singer Alexandra Stan, and Avö, a music producer, composer and DJ hailing from Portugal. The lineup also features Egyptian lo-fi shaabi maestro El Waili, indie artist Donia Wael, rap stars Shehab, Karim Osama and Kairokid, indie-electronic duo Husa & Zeyada, Lebanese popstar Gio MKL, Jordanian rapper The Synaptik, along with Egyptian DJ Awadly, among many others. These performances will be set alongside a wide range of activities, as well as immersive exhibitions by local artists. All tickets for the Amman Music Festival are two-day passes. Early bird tickets are available for purchase on their official website until June 6th.

BRED Abu Dhabi 2025: the festival is coming back and we have all the deets
Get ready to flex your freshest fits because BRED Abu Dhabi is back. Yup, the festival that puts streetwear, street food and banging beats front and centre is making its way to Yas Island for its third edition – and it's going to be bigger and bolder than ever. Rap legend Nas, Grammy-nominated Canadian singer-songwriter PARTYNEXTDOOR and Egyptian group Cairokee will take to the stage at Yas Marina between Wednesday April 23 and Sunday April 27 and it's going to pop off. Nas brings his signature East Coast sound and an extensive back catalogue including N.Y State of Mind, Made You Look and The World is Yours on Friday April 25. Lebanese indie band Adonis take to the stage on Thursday April 24 and more headliners are set to be announced in the lead up to the festival. Both Wednesday and Sunday are currently without a headline act so expect some more big names on the way. This time around, BRED Abu Dhabi is also serving up a delicious slice of neo-culture with a side of Arab identity, all sprinkled with plenty of creativity. Oh, and did we mention they've dropped an exclusive track? Yes, Hena, featuring regional music powerhouses The Synaptik, Asayel and Karim Osama, is on streaming platforms now. In case you're out of the loop with the artists, it's got The Synaptik's heartfelt rap-meets-singing vibe, Asayel's sharp and empowering lyricism and Karim Osama's high-energy rap-meets-pop swagger. Produced by UAE's own Sleiman Damien, it's basically going to be your new earworm. So what's new this year? BRED is going back to where it all began: the streets. This year's festival shines a spotlight on Arab subcultures from the Levant, North Africa and the GCC, with a heavy dose of street-inspired style, sounds and snacks. It's all about celebrating creativity and collaboration and championing emerging talent across music, fashion and art. The first edition showcased streetwear, gaming, basketball and music galore. Then came round two, which brought us world-class artists like AJ Tracey, Offset and Metro Boomin. Now, edition three is gearing up to take things to a whole new level with a packed lineup of local, regional and global acts, plus unexpected collaborations and fresh surprises. Things to do and see at Bred Abu Dhabi 2025
Bred Abu Dhabi, a street culture festival presented by Hypebeast, is back for its third year. Running from April 23 to 27 at Yas Marina Circuit, the event will feature live music, streetwear, gaming, sports, street food and art. Here's a list of all the concerts, activities and streetwear brands to look out for at this year's festival. Hip-hop singer Nas, UK rapper Nines, Canadian R&B star Partynextdoor and regional talents including Adonis and Cairokee will all take to the Bred Arena stage. On opening night, Karim Osama, Asayel and The Synaptik will perform solo sets – before coming together for the premiere of their track, Hena, composed especially for the festival. Palestinian rapper The Synaptik, whose real name is Laith Al Husseini, is known for his powerful lyrics. His latest album, Al Taman, explores mental health and personal struggles – topics rarely addressed in Arabic hip-hop. Asayel's debut single, Asliyah, blends Hejazi slang from her native Saudi region. She wowed crowds with a standout performance at last year's Soundstorm festival in Riyadh. Osama, meanwhile, has built a reputation for energetic pop tracks enriched with the electro-influenced sounds of Mahraganat music. Other regional artists on the line-up include Dana Hourani, Nayra, Marwan Moussa, Saud G, Afroto and Blu Fiefer. From exclusive streetwear drops to global collaborations, Bred's fashion zone will feature labels including Pieces Uniques, Daily Paper, Les Benjamins, 5ivepillars and Precious Trust. Sneaker brands such as Adidas, Asics, Umbro, Timberland, New Era and New Balance will also have a presence. The festival will also feature a number of homegrown UAE talent at booths by Ser, Mesmari, Basement, and Wyld x Jeeski, as well as multi-brand favourites such as Sneaker District, Foot Locker and JD Sports. The Top Baller Gulf 1v1 Cup finals will take place at the festival to culminate a tournament that started in Dubai in January. The winner of the tournament will earn themselves a 12-month boot deal from adidas. A women's 5v5 tournament called Copa Laha will be led by Budreya Faisal, the founder of Dubai club Banaat FC. Gamers can meet NBA 2K League pros and test their skills at the NBA 2K Zone, with interactive games like Catch & Win and Fast Break challenges. Street artist Futura will be signing copies of his book, Futura: The Artist's Monograph. Global artists including Marwan Shahin, Joelle Jabbour, Stephany and Shamma Bu Hazza will create custom pieces live. Visitors will also be treated to a tech-meets-art installation featuring projection mapping and a high-energy hip-hop dance show at the Nissan x Bred collab. Bred will host street food stalls with international favourites such as Gotham Burger Social Club and L'Industrie Pizzeria, plus Choukran, which will be serving up soulful Moroccan cuisine. Local eateries including Kaak Al Quds, Mattar, Lila Taqueria, Lento and Polline will also be present. There will also be a block party hosted by Anghami, Fred's Coffee Party and Discosan. Day passes for Bred Abu Dhabi cost Dh75 with concert tickets starting from Dh245.

Mar 16, 2025 BRED Abu Dhabi—presented by Hypebeast—returns from April 23rd to 27th, bringing together global hip-hop icons and some of the most compelling voices from the MENA region's music scene. Leading the charge in Arabic rock, Cairokee and Adonis continue to push alternative music in the region, while artists like The Synaptik, Afroto, and Marwan Moussa have helped shape the MENA rap scene's distinct sonic identity, blending drill, trap, and old-school influences. Meanwhile, Dana Hourani, Nayra, and Ilmond bring their own blend of indie, R&B, and experimental influences, showcasing the depth of talent emerging from the region. Odeal, known for his fusion of Afrobeats and R&B, adds a fresh rhythmic dynamic, while Asayel, one of the region's rising female rappers, further highlights the growing presence of Arabic hip-hop on global stages. BRED also features international stars like Nas, Nines, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, whose presence highlights the festival's ability to bridge global and regional sounds. Alongside the live performances, this year's BRED Abu Dhabi will also showcase street art, basketball tournaments and fashion activations.
