The Teskey Brothers' 'Live At The Hammersmith Apollo' Is Out Now
In celebration of three triumphant sold-out shows at London's iconic Hammersmith Apollo last year, The Teskey Brothers release new album Live At The Hammersmith Apollo – out on digital, CD & vinyl today. The release comes off the back of the band's biggest single headline show to date in London last night at Alexandra Palace, playing to 10,000+ fans to mark the final chapter of a world-conquering, two-year-long tour in support of their acclaimed #1 ARIA-charting album The Winding Way. Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is an immersive extension of the band's rich and beloved catalogue, featuring songs from, The Winding Way, a powerful cover of Otis Redding's 'Try A Little Tenderness' and for the first time on vinyl/CD, one of the band's early hits, 'Forever You and Me'. 'We always love recording to tape and we wanted to make this live album special, so we wheeled a big old tape machine into the Apollo for three nights. The sound is exactly what we wanted: a warm, lively snapshot of some very fun shows in London.' – Josh Teskey In keeping with the band's love for analogue, Live At The Hammersmith Apollo was recorded entirely to tape, just as live albums by Bruce Springsteen ('75), David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust '73) and countless others would have been recorded in the same room. London-based producer/engineer Declan Gaffney was tapped to handle the technical side, having previously engineered and mixed live albums for U2 and The Rolling Stones. Gaffney set up a makeshift studio behind the stage curtain where the tape rolled through a StuderA80 borrowed from the famous Metropolis Studios just down the road. Nostalgia aside, the record is above all an ode to the brothers' famed chemistry and dynamics onstage, bolstered by band members Olaf Scott (keys), Fabian Hunter (bass), Audrey Powne (trumpet), Nick Lawrence (drums) and Lily Shaw (sax), who have all been touring with The Teskey Brothers since 2023. Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is The Teskey Brothers' sixth album. Most recent release The Winding Way debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart, won Best Blues & Roots Album at the 2023 ARIA Awards and Best Record of 2023 at the Rolling Stone Awards. Following its release, the band played sold-out shows across the world and a prime set on The Other Stage (3pm Sunday) at Glastonbury in 2023. The Winding Way was the highly anticipated follow-up to Run HomeSlow - a colossal success by anyone's standards, reaching #2 on the ARIA charts, winning 3 ARIA Awards and saw Sam Teskey earn a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album - all watering the grass for sold-out headline tours across the world. More significantly, Run Home Slow fulfilled the promise of their highly acclaimed debut record, 2017's Half Mile Harvest, cementing The Teskey Brothers as a classy modern band with an appetite for classic soul and R&B music. Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is available now on limited edition red & white marble vinyl, CD & digital services. DIGITAL & CD TRACKLIST 1. Man Of The Universe 2. Oceans Of Emotions 3. WILSN Brings The Sass On 'Keep Walkin''
[Wednesday 2 July, 2025] Melbourne/ Naarm-based soul powerhouse WILSN (aka Shannon Busch) today unveils a sassy, smokin'-hot, break-up anthem with her new single ' Keep Walkin ''. Following on from her previous release, irresistible bop ' The Way ', WILSN continues to cement herself as one of the most essential voices in a new generation of Australian soul singers. 'Keep Walkin'' arrives off the back of two packed-out shows last month in Melbourne and Sydney, and finds WILSN in a defiant mood - her stunning vocals taking centre stage like the soul queens of days gone by, shining over classy, timeless production. Written with long-time collaborator and producer Stephen Mowat (Tyne James-Organ, Jessica Mauboy, Matt Corby) 'Keep Walkin'' draws inspiration from the sounds of yesteryear. As with previous single 'The Way', Busch headed to NYC to help her capture a timeless sound. Enlisting an ensemble of legendary musicians from the NYC soul scene, including members of Sharon Jones and the DapKings, Thee Sacred Souls, Charles Bradley and Jalen Ngonda's bands, 'Keep Walkin'' was tracked at Hive Mind Recording in Brooklyn - a studio that specialises in the use of analogue equipment and capturing a classic soul sound. Co-produced byStephen Mowat and Billy Aukstik, the band took an old-school approach to recording, with everyone playing live in the same room, feeding off each other's energy and vibe. Originally hailing from Geelong in Victoria,WILSN moved to Melbourne to study jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts. She signed a deal with US publisher Pulse, prompting a move to America, where she spent two years working with Grammy-Award winning songwriters honing her craft, before being asked to join The Teskey Brothers on their 2020 tour of Europe and the UK, playing to sold-out crowds across the continent. Since thereleaseof her debut album, Those Days Are Over, in 2023 - a record bursting with jaw-dropping vocal performances and fusing modern soul, pop, jazz and Motown – it's been a big couple of years forWILSN. Her debut album won the AIR Award for Best Independent Soul/RnB Album or EP and was also nominated for the Australian Music Prize, she's sung alongside Jimmy Barnes and Budjerah and shared the stage with contemporary heroes like Allen Stone, she's played at Bluesfest two years in a row, and once again supported The Teskey Brothers on an extensive Australian tour. Alongside her success asWILSN, she's also been amassing praise as a songwriter, winning the 2025 Vanda and Young Global Song Competition with 'Give You Love', a song she co-wrote for Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo. Her most recent release, 'The Way' which marks the start of a refreshing new chapter, received support from triple j, double j and community radio locally, along with spins from BBC Radio 2 and 6Music, and playlist adds to Apple Music's Soul Revival, New In Indie and Spotify's Soul 'n' the City, Dinner Chill Music and more. If you are lucky enough to be attending RockWiz Live - Live at the Gardens in Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens, WILSN will be opening the night with her nine piece band - tickets HERE. A slice of soul-pop perfection, 'Keep Walkin'' carries on from the momentum of 'The Way' – it's bold yet melodic, empowering but vulnerable, classic and somehow still refreshingly of the moment.

Mikhail Laxton Announces Debut Aotearoa Show
After capturing the hearts of Kiwi listeners with his soulful new single ' I Like The Way ', Australian-born, Canadian-based artist Mikhail Laxton is heading to Aotearoa for his debut headline show happening on Friday 3 October at The Tuning Fork in Auckland. Tickets for this show go on sale Monday 16 June at midday from Moshtix. Laxton has been steadily rising in Canada's Americana and roots scene since relocating from Mossman, Queensland to Ottawa. A proud Aboriginal (Kuku Yalanji) artist, he has built a reputation for his rich, honeyed vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and deeply resonant live performances. His 2023 self-titled debut album drew critical acclaim and positioned him as a powerful new voice in what he calls 'outlaw soul' – blending classic Americana with the raw emotion and groove of soul music. Now, with a new album on the way, Laxton is leaning further into the soul and roots influences that have long shaped his sound. His single 'I Like The Way', a tender love song written for his wife, has found unexpected popularity with a New Zealand audience after a short teaser video went viral on TikTok. ' I actually visited New Zealand when I was 12 and I fell in love with the place,' explains Laxton. ' I was actually a little obsessed back in the day. So to have Aotearoa showing the kind of love it has been showing is really kind of like a little bit of a full-circle thing. Absolutely stoked that it is panning out this way and I can't wait to get down there with the people and have a great time.' Known for his emotional authenticity and connection with audiences, Laxton's live show has already seen him open for heavyweights like The Teskey Brothers and Kathleen Edwards. His first New Zealand appearance promises to be something truly special. Don't miss Mikhail Laxton's debut Aotearoa show at The Tuning Fork this October. Tickets available Monday 16 June at midday from Moshtix.
