Celebrity Big Brother is underway with an exciting line-up ranging from a soap stars and a RuPaul's Drag Race winner to a singer and Hollywood actor. Among the famous faces to enter the house is UK singer Chesney Hawkes. Known for his smash debut hit 'The One and Only', he has also appeared on other shows such as Michael McIntyre's Big Show and Loose Women. While he is the celebrity in the Big Brother House, he has some very famous connections, notably both parents. He is most known for being a member of the band The Tremeloes. The English beat group rose to fame in the British Invasion era in the mid-1960s, achieving a UK chart-topper in 1963 with Do You Love Me. Lead singer Brian Poole left the band in 1966, but the band continued their success, reforming as a four-piece later in the same year, with Chip Hawkes on bass alongside fellow members Rick Westwood, Alan Blakely and Dave Munden. All four members sang, and the group achieved 13 top 40 hits, with the group still together today, albeit with different members. Chesney joined the Tremeloes to perform with them on UK circuits in 2021, alongside Chip Hawkes, Rick Westwood, Mick Clarke, Richard Marsh and Chesney's brother Jodie Hawkes. It took one song for Chesney to win over the hearts of fans, but will he be able to win over his fellow Housemates? 🤩 #CBBUK — Celebrity Big Brother UK (@bbuk) April 7, 2025 Chesney Hawkes' mother Carol Dilworth is also well-known, being a former actress perhaps most recognisable for her role in 1969 horror film The Haunted House of Horror. She was also a host of the gameshow The Golden Shot, which saw viewers being asked to call in and help aim the titular "golden shot", a crossbow mounted on the front of the TV camera. The cameraman is blindfolded, so the viewers give them directions aiming the arrow at prizes. Whatever the arrow hits, they win. Chesney's sister, Keely Hawkes, was also a musician, being the lead singer of 1990s British-American alternative rock band Transister. Chesney Hawkes was unveiled as the first housemate to join the 2025 series, revealing he is 'a little bit of a nudist'. He said on the show: 'I am the one and only. See what I did there? 'I had absolutely no idea what was ahead of me when I released that record 34 years ago. Before that, I was playing piano in pubs, and then I was headlining arenas, it was that quick. 'I think my kids like my music, my son has to be a fan because he's my guitar player. 'One thing that people don't know about me, I am a little bit of a nudist. I do like to get naked, just saying.'
