Recently, the rockers were thrust back into the spotlight as the outfit reformed under its classic lineup for one final show in early July. Tens of thousands of fans watched Ozzy Osbourne and company give it their all one last time, and the charts in the band's home country show just how exciting the event was, and how beloved Black Sabbath still is today. Several albums by the group return to the charts following the final concert, and the rockers even manage to score a debut placement on one tally. Black Sabbath Debuts on the Downloads Chart Black Sabbath appears on this week's edition of the Official Albums Streaming chart, the ranking of the most successful projects on streaming platforms across the U.K. The group debuts at No. 84 with The Ultimate Collection, one of several compilations that currently appear on the musical rankings in the country. Despite immense popularity, even in the streaming era, Black Sabbath had never before found space on the 100-spot roster until this frame. Black Sabbath's The Ultimate Collection Hits a New Peak The Ultimate Collection appears to be one of the biggest winners in Black Sabbath's catalog this frame. As it debuts on the Official Albums Streaming chart, it also returns to five other lists at the same time. The project largely reenters in lower spots, though it does manage to hit a new peak at No. 56 on the Official Album Downloads tally. The compilation also approaches the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, coming in at No. 14. Six Black Sabbath Albums Chart The Ultimate Collection is one of six different albums by Black Sabbath that can be found on the U.K. charts right now. Several other projects like Paranoid, the group's self-titled release, and Greatest Hits find space on multiple tallies, while Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath only reappear on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. All six of Black Sabbath's efforts take up space on that genre-specific ranking, with Paranoid jumping back into the top 10 and landing at No. 5, earning the band its highest placement this week.

Paul Simon Charts A Brand New Album As One Beloved Classic Returns

The legendary singer-songwriter, often regarded as one of the most creative and important of his generation, saw multiple collections — both solo efforts and those made with his former partner Art Garfunkel — return to various tallies in the country. While some of those sets have faded from view, others have made comebacks worthy of noting this frame. Simon even manages to score a new bestseller in the country, though not with a brand new release. Simon earns a new win on the Official Album Downloads chart this week. On that list, which reflects the top-selling full-lengths and EPs on platforms like iTunes, Concert in the Park: August 15, 1991 arrives. The project narrowly lands on the tally, coming in at No. 97. Simon has now collected a milestone 10 solo placements on that ranking throughout the past several decades. Concert in the Park is Simon's only debut this time around, but two other releases also appear on the charts. Graceland — his bestselling and critically-adored effort — returns to two tallies this frame. It reenters the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 18 and also appears at No. 77 on the Official Albums Sales tally, which counts physical purchases like CDs and vinyl. Simon fills three positions on the Official Album Downloads chart this week. Following Concert in the Park debuting and Graceland returning to the top 20, The Ultimate Collection also bounds back onto the digital-only list. That compilation reappears at No. 60 this frame. The Ultimate Collection is the only one of Simon's projects to climb on the tallies it appeared on last week. The hits-packed set rises slightly on both the Official Albums Streaming and Official Albums charts — the latter being the general all-consumption ranking in the U.K. This time around, The Ultimate Collection improves to Nos. 72 and 81 on those rosters, respectively. Of all the efforts currently appearing on various tallies, only The Ultimate Collection has reached No. 1, doing so on just one of the rankings it now occupies. The win gave Simon a chart-topping title on the Official Albums list — the most prestigious listing for full-lengths and EPs in the U.K. Neither Graceland nor Concert in the Park has broken into the top 10 on any of the tallies they currently occupy, though Graceland came closest on the Official Album Downloads chart. It previously peaked at No. 11 on that roster.

The singles she recorded during her lifetime remain some of the most beloved of all time in the R&B and pop genres, and she's still a superstar. Every few months, there's another reminder that her catalog still resonates with millions, and a quick look at where the late singer appears on the charts in the United Kingdom provides one more such notice. Houston's I Will Always Love You – The Best Of is a regular on the Official Albums chart in the U.K., where it continues to find space, largely thanks to repeat streams of the many smashes featured on its tracklist. The compilation, which pulls together many of her biggest smashes, has become the go-to title for fans who focus their listening on one collection that features many of her classics. Like many legacy artists, Houston's plays are funneled toward a single title to help maintain visibility on the albums rankings, and that strategy is clearly working. This frame, I Will Always Love You dips slightly on both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking, but it's still present. The collection descends from No. 58 to No. 66 on the overall roster of the most-consumed full-lengths in the U.K. and also falls one spot to No. 49 on the streaming-focused tally. While I Will Always Love You is down slightly on both tallies, the bigger story is the fact that it's now spent 200 weeks on the Official Albums chart. That's an incredible achievement for any singer, and it's one that most artists, even major names, may never come close to. For Houston, this isn't uncharted territory, as the set is not her first project to reach that figure. I Will Always Love You is Houston's second title to hit that 200-week milestone. The first was The Ultimate Collection, another compilation, which has spent a staggering 386 weeks on the tally. That set hasn't appeared on the list in years, as the focus now seems to be on I Will Always Love You, but its legacy is already well established. Houston has also seen some of her early albums manage lengthy stays on the important tally. Both her self-titled debut and her second full-length Whitney crossed into triple-digit territory on the Official Albums chart, though they didn't progress much further I Will Always Love You arrived back in late 2012, just months after Houston's death. Since then, it's charted off and on, bouncing in and out of weekly rankings all around the world, depending on spikes in interest, competition and streaming activity. After more than a decade of availability, the compilation reached its peak only fairly recently, climbing to No. 13 in 2023.
