Where ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love' Season 1 Cast Are Now

The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 is currently airing on Netflix, with a new batch of couples putting their relationship to the test to figure out whether they're ready to settle down, call it quits for good, or move on with someone new. It's been two years since season one first aired on the streaming site and had us all well and truly hooked, and almost four years since the show was filmed. With the new season underway, we couldn't help but wonder where the likes of Lexi and Rae or Tiff and Mildred are now. From career changes to new relationships and an engagement, here's where the cast of The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1 are now. Despite Rae exploring a connection with Vanessa (ahem, Finger Gate) during their trial married, she ultimately chose to return to Lexi. Still, throughout the season, Lexi often dominated the dynamic, frequently overshadowing Rae. They were still together by the time the reunion came around and were even planning their wedding. However, they called things off shortly after the reunion aired. Lexi is now in a relationship with Lil Z, who she refers to as her "wife" and the couple often share very loved up pictures on their social media — many of which have us wondering if we're interrupting something. The pair hard launched their relationship in 2023 and later got engaged. In terms of work, Lexi seems to have stepped away from consulting for an international taxi firm and has moved into lifestyle content creation. As for Rae, she's currently working as a software engineer and also appears to be in a new relationship with a talent manager named Caitlin. On 22nd May, Rae shared a montage of videos and images of the couple, with the caption: "The butterfly effect is real because what if I was never issued an Ultimatum." Tiff and Mildred had a pretty tumultuous relationship while on the show, marked by conflict and weekly breakups. While Tiff proposed to Mildred during the finale, things didn't last. At the reunion, it was revealed that Tiff and Mildred had broken off their engagement after a domestic dispute that led to Mildred's arrest. Following the show, Tiff went on to host the Fweebs Podcast alongside Karina Gonzalez. Tiff's Instagram bio states that they are a "Narcissistic Abuse Coach" and followers can access coaching sessions via a link. Tiff hosts and attends lost of Pride events in the US and has recently been making videos commenting on the new season of The Ultimatum. After the show, Mildred continued her work as a Zumba instructor, but has since stepped away from social media. Although turbulent, Sam and Aussie's story ended with a proposal in the finale. Fans will be happy to hear that the duo are still together. It's not yet known whether they've tied the knot yet, but Sam posted a picture of their proposal on 18th June with a very lengthy caption, where she stated: "And no I won't be commenting on our marriage status because it really doesn't matter whether or not you know. The exception is if we know you personally lol I don't really follow traditions anyways, but I will say it's funny that the Ultimatum actually helped me care less about marriage than I did before we started the journey." The pair advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health on their respective Instagram accounts, sharing lots of advice videos with the hope of providing more representation as queer Asians. They are also the only surviving couple of season one, so they should be quite proud. Xander and Vanessa were the only couple to part ways on Ultimatum Day, a decision that aligned with Vanessa's father's insight that she wasn't ready for marriage - she just didn't want to lose Xander. Following the show, Vanessa debuted her new girlfriend. She also moved to Los Angeles. She has kept the identity of her partner private, although she does appear in some of her Instagram posts and the pair seem very smitten. As for Xander, they still live in Hawaii but mentioned they were considering a move to Los Angeles or San Diego, where The Ultimatum: Queer Love was filmed. Xander appears to be on good terms with Mal, who they posted a pic with last year June, writing: "Thanks for an amazing excuse to go see people I love @netflix" with some heart-eye emojis. At the moment, Xander doesn't appear to be in a relationship, or at least a public one, and is focusing on their career as a Physical Therapist and Mind and Body Coach. Despite Yoly tearfully accepting Mal's proposal in the finale, the pair broke up soon after filming as old issues resurfaced and Yoly's lingering feelings for Xander became clear. Xander and Yoly's relationship fizzled, however. The pair remained single for some time after the show, but Yoly is now in a relationship with a content creator named appears in many of Mal's Instagram posts and things seem to be going well for them. When it comes to work, Yoly founded Lovers and Friends Chicago, which is a community for 30+ lesbians and queer allies. She also spends a lot of her time travelling and creating content. Mal is in a new relationship with dancer Sammy Picone, and the fans approve, calling them an "awesome match". In February, Mal shared a carousel of pics and videos with Sammy alongside the caption: "It's quite simple. I love you." Sammy commented: "*zoomies activate* Baby I adore you. Thank goodness the universe persistently nudged us into each others' orbit." Asides from their relationship, Mal is a mental health advocate, producer and makes fashion and lifestyle content. The Ultimatum: Queer Love season two is currently streaming on Netflix.

Can We Stop Bringing Up Everyone On Love Island's Acne?

'His acne is his karma,' writes a Redditor about Nicolas Vansteenberghe, a contestant on season 7 of Peacock's Love Island USA. 'The whole time I was looking at that fuck ass pimple and just laughing at it,' another chimes in. On another thread, someone noted islander Taylor Williams was wearing a slew of pimple patches on his face. 'Lend one to your bro,' they said, referencing Nic's breakout. (And when he finally does stick on a pimple patch, people pointed that out too.) On TikTok, Facetune's editing out Nic's pimple with the caption, 'the nerve he had to dump Bella-A with this bombshell on his face…' People shared a gazillion videos highlighting islander Austin Shepard's breakouts. 'Anyone else wish they could pop these, or am I insane?' one person wrote. 'Nasty pimples,' another added. The presence of acne makes sense to me. The humid climate in Fiji, new products, sharing a bed with someone new, constant face-to-face action, heightened stress—all of the above are the perfect recipe for breakouts. But what doesn't make sense is why someone's zits are such a cause for ridicule and speculation at our big ages? It's uncharted territory seeing acne on TV when it's not a plot point. There aren't really any other reality shows without producer intervention (dabbing on some concealer or powder whenever a contestant has a zit or a lil excess shine). Over the years, we've gotten a few episodes of Summer House that showcased a few breakouts on Paige DeSorbo and Amanda Batula—both of which resulted in partnerships with acne-friendly skincare brand Face Reality. But on Love Is Blind, The Bachelor, The Ultimatum, Temptation Island, Are You The One—I've never seen a contestant with an angry zit on their face. Love Island is really in a league of its own, showing us very real and up-close shots of people without professionals glamming them up. Throwback to Ronnie Vint on the U.K. version last summer after he'd washed the Toppik fibers out of his scalp before bed, unveiling a hairline that was much farther back than we'd seen earlier in the episode. And even when the islanders do have makeup on, it's all done by themselves. We see women meticulously apply a face every morning that's intended to look "light and natural," before spending all day in the sun, followed by another full-beat routine before nighttime in the villa. Before bed, we watch our islanders indulge in their skincare routines: removing their makeup with cleansing wipes, shaving in the mirror, combing a spoolie through their eyelash extensions, and wrapping their hair up in a silk bonnet. I love seeing those moments because it's a reminder that these are all real people who've signed up to have their lives and emotions broadcast in 4K. Look, I get it: When you sign up for reality TV fame and the potential to win $100,000, you put yourself at risk for audience commentary. The contestants on season 7 are getting that criticism far more than any other season of the USA franchise, and even more than I've noticed in U.K. seasons past. But the incessant remarks about the islanders' skin this year prove that we still have a really narrow view of acne—one that believes it's embarrassing, something we can control, and, worst of all, makes a person gross and unattractive. It's frustrating, and something I thought, as a beauty editor with a face of acne as I'm typing this, we'd gotten past. Acne is, first and foremost, a hormonal bodily response. When your hormones fluctuate—like during puberty or on your period, or truly, at any given time, based on my personal experience—your sebaceous glands kick into overdrive, which mix with dead skin cells and bacteria and clog your pores. It's almost entirely out of your control and due to genetics. It's most definitely not a karmic response for breaking things off with a romantic interest. Sure, there are intervention tactics, like washing your face every night, exfoliating with a salicylic acid toner or serum, or seeing your dermatologist for prescription topicals and medications. However, there's no cure whatsoever, and a zit can pop up at any time—especially when you've suddenly found yourself in a love triangle in Fiji. No one's immune to breakouts. So why do we feel the need to point it out when we see one on Peacock? Maybe Nic and Austin aren't our favorite islanders, but who really cares if they've got acne on their faces? If we want to watch all the crash-outs and connections and drama, we've also gotta deal with the other very-human aspects of reality stars, including the potential zit on their face. Nick and Vanessa Lachey List Their Modern SoCal Farmhouse for $7.5 Million

It's been barely a year since Nick and Vanessa Lachey put their snazzy Honolulu residence up for sale and doled out $6.8 million for all-new modern farmhouse-style digs in Los Angeles. Now the married reality TV show hosts are already looking to offload their stylish spread tucked away in a prime pocket of Encino with a $700,000 jump in price, asking just under $7.5 million. Craig Knizek and Mauricio Umansky of the Agency share the listing. Completed in 2023, the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom abode rests amid a secluded cul-de-sac parcel spanning nearly half an acre in the gated Amstoy Estates neighborhood. Roughly 8,200 square feet of three-level living space is accented with white oak floors, high ceilings, and designer lighting throughout, and the property is securely protected by a perimeter-wide surveillance system. An open-concept great room's formal dining area and family room flow to the kitchen, which is outfitted with stone countertops, a large eat-in island, Thermador appliances, and a butler's pantry. The lower level is decked out with a vaulted safe room, a movie theater, a gym, a recreation room, and a seated bar with a glass-encased wine wall. And a floating wood-railed staircase winds its way up to the top floor, where the primary suite flaunts a fireplace, dual designer showroom closets, and a luxe marble bath equipped with two vanities, a makeup counter, a soaking tub, and a steam shower. Out in front of the two-tone structure is a double-gated circular driveway that empties out at an attached three-car garage, with a sports court sitting discreetly off to the side. The co-hosts of Netflix's reality dating shows Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum purchased their Hawaii home near Oahu's Kahala Beach in 2022 for $8.8 million, soon after Vanessa was cast in the CBS show NCIS: Hawaiʻi in 2021, and subsequently sold it last summer for nearly $9.5 million soon after the police procedural was canceled after three seasons. Before moving to Hawaii, they also transferred an L.A.-area home to tennis pro Naomi Osaka for $6.3 million.
