Brittany Cartwright reveals shocking reason she is STILL married to Jax Taylor... after his boozing and cheating
Brittany Cartwright revealed on Tuesday that she and her estranged husband Jax Taylor have still not managed to finalize their divorce despite months of bitter sniping between the two. During an appearance with host Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, the 36-year-old former Vanderpump Rules star explained why their divorce proceedings were still dragging out. 'We both didn't send in all of our stuff at the right time. It was a lot of stuff that happened,' she admitted with a sheepish expression when Andy quizzed her. 'So, October 15th is the new date, and it's going to happen,' she said firmly. Brittany, who was seen making a savage remark about Jax's manhood in the teaser for the upcoming reunion of The Valley, didn't hold back about her ex in the brief segment. She described the current state of her relationship with her 46-year-old ex as 'horrible,' and she said she had 'no trust whatsoever' in him. Brittany went on to accuse Jax of barely caring for her son, claiming that Cruz had spent the night at his father's house 'maybe 10 times in the past year and a half, two years.' However, she wasn't heartbroken about Jax's alleged lack of time with their son 'So, [Cruz is] with me 24/7, which I love. I wouldn't change it for anything,' she said with a soft smile. After it was revealed in a previous episode of The Vally that her ex had stopped paying his portion fo their mortgage, she was asked if he had restarted payments. 'Nope. Absolutely not. Nope,' Brittany replied. She also claimed that the former bartender was no longer having regular therapy sessions. That led Andy to ask if he was still sober, which Brittany was hesitant to speak openly about. She suggested he was 'sober from some things, but not from all things,' but she left more details to wait until the reunion special was released, where the two apparently got into it about his sobriety. Brittany went on to accuse Jax of barely caring for her son, claiming that Cruz had spent the night at his father's house 'maybe 10 times in the past year and a half, two years. Elsewhere, Brittany claimed that a Valley segment in which Jax allegedly installed cameras to spy on her was all a ruse. 'He never did that. That was a storyline for him. So, he lied about that,' she claimed. 'That never happened.' Finally, she shared her delight at news that Jax was leaving The Valley. 'I found out the night before, and I was like, that was a great decision… by everyone,' she said with a smile, suggesting that it may not have been completely his decision. Their tumultuous relationship was previously laid bare in a preview for The Valley's upcoming reunion episode. Now Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are coming face to face again as they revisit season two of The Valley - and things get ugly. Jax has since announced he is 'stepping away' from the upcoming third season, and perhaps that is for the best considering just how tense the conversation got in a sneak peek for the upcoming reunion. 'I would not touch that dirty d**k with a 10 inch pole,' Brittany insists. But Jax fired back with a response that made host Andy Cohen grimace: 'That's not what you said four months ago.' 'You knew we were filming whenever we did these things!' Brittany insisted. 'I'm not going to play a role, I'm not an actor!' Jax hit back. 'You dug right at me constantly. You made me literally lose my sparkle!' Brittany hissed. An exasperated Jax replied: 'Not with the f**king sparkle.' Jax and Brittany aren't the only couple whose relationship has disintegrated on The Valley - so have Jesse Lally and Michelle Lally. Their issues boiled to the surface during the reunion, with Jesse slamming his ex for allegedly seeking relationship advice from a single man during their marriage. 'C'mon! A married woman with a child asking a single guy for advice about her husband? That's wildly inappropriate!' Jesse shot at his ex. 'Wildly inappropriate? You told our client that you wanted to eat her out!' Michelle claimed. Last season, Brittany and Jax's marriage officially ended on camera. The former couple were married in 2019 following a dramatic romance that began on Vanderpump Rules. They have son Cruz, four, together. Fortunately for Brittany, she won't be having to encounter Jax much longer on their show - he recently announced he will be 'stepping away' from season three. He dropped the bombshell about his departure in a statement to US Weekly, saying, 'After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I'll be stepping away from the next season.' 'Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz,' he added. On last week's episode of The Valley, Cartwright accused her ex of drinking just days after he got out of rehab following a month-long stint in the facility. A source close to production told that Jax and Bravo had 'mutual discussions' and the network 'respects and supports his decision.' During the most recent episode, Taylor visited Cartwright at her rental property for a discussion about establishing 'boundaries' while co-parenting their son Cruz. However, their cordial sit-down quickly turned hostile as the estranged couple got into a shouting match. Amid their custody battle, which has quickly turned bitter, Cartwright admitted she was having doubts about his sobriety in a confessional. Taylor stunned viewers with a horrific insult directed at his estranged wife when he made a blunt confession about their crumbling marriage. 'I think after Jax got out of the facility, it took him less than five days to go back to the bars and start partying again,' Cartwright claimed. 'It's just so disappointing, like, he did not take anything seriously,' she added.

Griffiths Racing mourns Moonee Valley legend Dandy Kid
Don't miss out on the headlines from Horse Racing. Followed categories will be added to My News. The Robbie Griffiths stable is lamenting the loss of a stable favourite that became an integral part of history at The Valley. Griffiths Racing confirmed the passing of the former smart sprinter Dandy Kid, who won a record 15 races at The Valley in a terrific career that included 19 wins from 87 starts between 1999 and 2006. 'He was an amazing horse to everyone,' Griffiths said. 'To race for eight years, everything changed so much and there were weddings, kids and grandkids among the ownership group while he was racing.' Dandy Kid died just short of his 29th birthday in a year in which racing will cease under the current configuration at The Valley as the track undergoes redevelopment. • PUNT LIKE A PRO: Become a Racenet iQ member and get expert tips – with fully transparent return on investment statistics – from Racenet's team of professional punters at our Pro Tips section. Griffiths said he and the late form expert Deane Lester picked out Dandy Kid from a paddock at Berrigan but the stable favourite spent most of his life in Cranbourne and spelling at Cloverdale agistment property that was operated by the late sports broadcaster Drew Morphett and his wife Kaz. 'He retired to that property and lived there for the last 19 years of his life,' Griffiths said. 'He was beautiful and sound all the time he was enjoying retirement. He never needed the vets, just the stock-standard maintenance a horse needs. 'He started his career as a winner of his first four and he finished as a winner as a 10-year-old. 'They can't beat his record at Moonee Valley now as the track is changing. 'I'm glad he chose Moonee Valley to be great at, not Manangatang.' • O'Brien star shakes up Melbourne Cup market after Curragh romp Dandy Kid was also good enough to win the Listed Vain Stakes during his run of four straight wins to start his career. He also claimed the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield in 2000, beating that year's Newmarket Handicap winner Miss Pennymoney. Seven riders won on Dandy Kid with the now Queensland-based jockey Ryan Maloney topping the tally with five wins on the grand sprinter while Rikki Cartwright was aboard for the gelding's first four wins. Griffiths said Dandy Kid was a handful on the training track but a great horse for apprentices to ride early in their careers, noting several Group 1-winning jockeys, including Luke Currie and Craig Newitt, won on the speedster as apprentices. 'He was a prick to ride at trackwork,' Griffiths said. 'I'd ride him in all his gallops and he'd pull like crazy. But he was a gentleman on raceday. 'Not many senior riders rode him but some superstar jockeys won on him as apprentices.' Originally published as Moonee Valley win record holder Dandy Kid dies aged 28

Andy Cohen supports Jax Taylor's decision to quit The Valley
Andy Cohen has welcomed Jax Taylor's decision to quit The Valley. The 46-year-old star recently announced that he was walking away from the reality TV series in order to focus on his sobriety, and Andy has now voiced his support for Jax's decision. Andy, 57, told People: "I think it's a good decision. I think he needs to work out s*** without cameras around." The TV host believes Jax is "very committed" to his sobriety journey. Andy actually spoke to Jax off-camera about how to rebuild his life and his relationship with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. Andy said: "This comes up at the reunion — I have kind of a serious conversation with him about his need for control and his anger issues, and what it's going to take to get to a better place with Brittany and in the world. And I hope he takes the time to lean into this, away from the cameras." Jax recently confirmed that he was quitting The Valley. The reality star confirmed he won't be part of the third season of the Bravo show following an "incredibly challenging" year, which saw him split from Brittany - the mother of his four-year-old son Cruz - and subsequently check into rehab for mental health and addiction treatment. Jax told Us Weekly: "After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley. "Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz." Jax previously admitted that he's been battling a cocaine addiction for more than 20 years. He said on the Hot Mic podcast: "I have substance issues - primarily with cocaine. It's hard to say out loud. I've been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I'm 45. "There was times where I would stop doing it but then there were times where I'd go heavy on it. "I just want to let people know this is a really, really tough disease and it's a really tough sickness."
