What Makes Panchayat Season 4 Special? 'Pradhan Ji' Raghuvir Yadav Answers

Last Updated: Panchayat 4 stars Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha. Actor Raghuvir Yadav, who plays Brij Bhushan Dubey in 'Panchayat", has decoded the real reason behind 'Panchayat" being so loved. He said it's India, in its truest form as it showcases everyday stories of small towns, told with so much heart. Raghubir said: 'It's incredible how Panchayat has resonated with everyone — children, young adults, elders — across villages, cities, and even overseas. When I was in Australia for a play, people of all ages came up to talk about the show." 'At first, I couldn't quite put my finger on what made it so special. But then I realised — this is India, in its truest form." He said it is the 'simplicity, sincerity, the everyday stories of small towns, told with so much heart, that's what makes Panchayat so powerful." The actor said that when he first read the script, he said, 'There's no room for acting here. We'll have to live with these characters.' 'These aren't just roles, they're real lives. And to portray them truthfully, we had to immerse ourselves completely. The writing was so honest — the emotions between the lines felt deeper than what was on the page. I grew up in a village, studied there, lived among people like the Sarpanch and Panchayat members." 'Through theatre, I've spent years travelling across small towns in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, UP, Rajasthan, observing and meeting people like this. That instinct to observe has always shaped me as an actor. So when Panchayat came along, it felt personal. We all approached it with sincerity, and the love it's getting today is a reflection of that," Raghurvir concluded. The show stars Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha. Produced by The Viral Fever, Panchayat Season 4 is created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar, written by Chandan Kumar, and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya. The show is streaming on Prime Video. First Published: June 27, 2025, 13:25 IST

Fans of Panchayat were in for a delightful surprise when Season 4 of the much-loved rural dramedy arrived on Prime Video ahead of schedule. Originally slated for a July 2 release, the new season dropped on June 24, sending the internet into a celebratory frenzy. And we are likely to begin the shoot for Season 5 maybe at the end of this year or next year. The writing has already started. So once the writing is done, we will start shooting." Travel To The Real Phulera: Exploring The Village Where Panchayat Was Actually Shot

Last Updated: Contrary to popular belief, Panchayat series was not shot in Rajasthan. Read on to find the real location of the famous Phulera village. The beloved web series Panchayat has captivated audiences with its charming portrayal of rural life, sparking curiosity about its filming locations. Fans often wonder if the show was shot in Rajasthan's Phulera. However, the answer is more interesting. So, where exactly did the magic of Phulera unfold? Let's find out here. Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF) and streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Panchayat has captured hearts with its authentic storytelling. The series follows the journey of an engineering graduate who takes up a government job in the remote village of Phulera. With its realistic portrayal of rural life, engaging narrative, and relatable characters, Panchayat has become a favourite among audiences. But have you ever wondered where this picturesque village of Phulera is actually located? Contrary to popular belief, Panchayat wasn't filmed in Rajasthan's Phulera. Instead, the production team discovered a hidden gem in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district, where a quaint village named Phulera served as the perfect rural backdrop. The team carefully chose this location to capture the authentic essence of village life, and the scenic beauty of the village added to the show's charm. With meticulous attention to detail, the cast and crew brought the fictional Phulera to life, making it an integral part of the series. The confusion with Rajasthan's Phulera is understandable, given its prominence as a railway junction near Jaipur. However, this Phulera has no connection to the series. The real magic lies in the Madhya Pradesh village that was carefully chosen for its authentic rural charm. Panchayat's success can be attributed to its storytelling and immersive locations, which transport viewers to the heart of rural India, making the show a relatable and engaging watch. The series boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Jitendra Kumar as the endearing Abhishek Tripathi, Neena Gupta as the sassy Manju Devi, and Raghubir Yadav as the quirky Brij Bhushan Dubey. The cast is further strengthened by Chandan Roy as Vikas, Faisal Malik as Prahladchand Pandey, Sanvikaa as Rinki, and Durgesh Kumar as Bhushan, with Pankaj Jha delivering a compelling performance as the cunning MLA.
