Inside Ozzy Osbourne's life with his 'secret' first wife before finding love with Sharon

Ozzy Osbourne was married to his first wife, Thelma Riley, for over a decade and the former couple have two children together - but the rocker has admitted he 'put her through hell'. Ozzy Osbourne's relationship with his wife Sharon was a tumultuous love and bond many came to know and love. However, before he found a forever home with the former X Factor judge, he was married to first wife Thelma Riley. ‌ The heavy metal rocker, who sadly passed away at 76, first crossed passed with Thelma in the 1960s when he was still upcoming on the music scene. Thelma at the time was working as a teacher, and they later tied the knot in 1971 as Black Sabbath was rising. ‌ Ozzy and Thelma had two children, Jessica and Louis, and Ozzy also adopted Elliot, Thelma's son from a previous relationship. However, Ozzy has openly admitted in interviews that he was far from the ideal husband or father during their marriage. ‌ His rising fame, along with heavy drinking and drug use, resulted in a chaotic and unstable home life according to reports in the Manchester Evening News. In his autobiography, Ozzy referred to their marriage as a 'mistake', confessing he wasn't present and was consumed by his addictions. The couple ended up filing for divorce in 1982 and Ozzy later expressed regret over how he treated Thelma and his children, acknowledging that his lifestyle at the time was destructive. ‌ Although Thelma has remained out of the public eye, her turbulent relationship with Ozzy continues to be a key chapter in his early life. Following his first marriage, Ozzy soon feel head over heels for Sharon. Sharon and Ozzy first became aquainted when her dad was managing Black Sabbath. Their romance first began in 1979 after Ozzy was sacked from the rock group, as she took over his managerial responsibilities, despite him still being legally married to Thelma. The pair tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii, in 1982, but their union was rocked in 2016 following allegations of Ozzy's affair with a hair stylist, which was said to have spanned four years. This resulted in a temporary split as Ozzy checked into rehab for sex addiction. ‌ Following the end of the summer in 2016, Sharon and Ozzy appeared to have mended bridges as they renewed their vows in May the following year (2017). The couple share three children together, daughters Aimée and Kelly, and son Jack. Celebrity Big Brother star Sharon previously opened up on the heartbreaking reality of Ozzy's infidelity, candidly confessing their marriage troubled led her to an overdose in 2016. The 72-year-old had been devastated to discover Ozzy's affair with Michelle Pugh. ‌ The affair with hairdresser Michelle reportedly lasted four years from 2012 to 2016. Sharon opened up about her heart-wrenching reaction to the ordeal during her Sharon Osbourne: Cut the Crap show in London. The mum-of-three admitted she found it hard to cope with the shocking news of her husband's betrayal, and took the difficult decision at the time to end their 34 year marriage. ‌ After attempting to take her own life by overdosing on pills, Sharon later forgave Ozzy for his affair several months down the line. Since then, she has remained loyally by the rockers side as she supported him through numerous health battles, including his parkinson's disease, which was diagnosed back in 2020. Appearing on Loose Women last year, Sharon discussed the affair. She told Jane Moore: "He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that. But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work... it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested." Discussing her overdose after discovering the devastating affair, Sharon candidly admitted: "I took, I don't know how many pills. I just thought 'My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves'. So I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom. The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me."

Dear Thelma: I am 17 and I made a big mistake with my friends using AI

I'm 17 and I made a bad mistake that could have changed my life completely. It started like this. I curiously used an AI filter on (the images of) two of my friends for editing, and what was worse was that I sent it out to three other friends, causing them discomfort and making them upset with me. I now feel all the guilt of making them uncomfortable and at the same time, I realise the editing I created could have been a sexual offence as it had some over-18 content. I truly understand my situation, and I want to turn over a new leaf and request for forgiveness from my friends. This is only one thing; with SPM exams pulled forward to late October, I've been stressed out between schoolwork, studies and family, which doesn't help me in my case. In fact, it makes things worse as I have more things to think of, especially when I can't let go of the incident. Right now, I would like to know how I can request forgiveness from my friends, and also most importantly, how I can forgive myself for such a mistake that could have sent me on a different path. With me not forgiving myself and finding it hard to let go while coping with SPM preps, I need help in forgetting this situation as I have never done such a thing before. I need help to gain trust from friends, to show them that I am truly sorry. But most importantly, I need help to forgive myself. Sad and Hopeless Thank you for writing about such a sensitive topic. You won't like some of my suggestions but I think it's important you read until the end. You took your friends photos and altered them, creating either sexualised or sexually explicit images. You then passed these around. When you were called out, you realised you may have broken the law. You want to deal with this because your emotions are interfering with your exam prep. You haven't explained fully what you did, so here are some possibilities. There are popular filters that create sexualised images, especially anime. Some people use these fantasy filters for their own photos, and post them on their socials because they see the results as cute. Others find it humiliating. A few find it offensive. I hope it was one of these filters, because then an apology will fix hurt feelings. However, there are also filters that create sexually explicit images, filters that 'undress' or 'nudify', digitally stripping clothing from photos, and tools that swap heads onto nudes, creating deepfake porn. While men can be the target, it is most often women and girls who are victims. Creating and distributing images of others to embarrass, degrade and humiliate is bullying. In Malaysia, possessing, creating and distributing explicit images is illegal. People can be penalised under the Penal Code and the Communications and Multimedia Act. As you rate this potentially life-changing, I'm concerned. Therefore, I urge you to talk to your parents. You may get a scolding but you need adult support. I hope your guilt has blown this out of proportion. Whether it has or not, your actions have led to lots of complex feelings. Moving forward requires some prep. First, be honest about your intent. You claim curiosity. Maybe you looked at the software from curiosity but it's not why you made or sent those images. Be honest with yourself. What exactly were you hoping for? Understanding your intent will be painful, but it will provide you with personal growth and positive change. You may be able to do this alone, but it will be easier if you work with an adult, perhaps a therapist. Next, focus on how your actions impacted your victims. Consider the pain they felt then and how they feel now. Like, will it upset their exam studies? Empathy will help you with the apology and it will help you prevent future errors. Finally, the apology. A proper apology comes in parts: saying what you did, acknowledging how it impacted on the people you hurt, apologising for doing it (without making excuses!) and promising it won't happen again. Because of the prep, you will be fully accountable. Most of us forgive when we see someone is truly sorry, so I expect your friends will forgive you. You're young and we all do daft things when we're young. But even if not all of them forgive you, being accountable and truly sorry will allow you to forgive yourself. Then you can focus on the exams and getting on with life with a cleared conscience. Again, thank you for bringing up this important topic. There are many people in this situation, so your story will help others. Go tell your parents right away. You may not enjoy the fix but please take this as a learning experience. I hope the problem is not a severe one and that you can put this behind you quickly.

Lorraine Kelly fumes as 7/7 London bombings survivor shares NHS blunder

Lorraine Kelly interviewed Thelma Stober, survivor of the 7/7 London bombings, during the latest instalment of her ITV show ITV's Lorraine featured Thelma Stober, a survivor of the 7/7 London bombings, on Thursday (3 July) for a deeply moving interview. Thelma appeared alongside presenter Lorraine Kelly to discuss Netflix's latest docuseries, Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers, sharing candidly about her personal ordeal and the lasting effects of the atrocities. ‌ Thelma was travelling on the Aldgate tube during the morning of 7 July 2005, when terror struck London. Four individual suicide attackers detonated explosives across the capital, with three bombs exploding at underground stations whilst another was set off on a bus, claiming 52 lives and wounding more than 770 people. ‌ "I was told subsequently by the police following investigation that I was actually standing next to the bomber," Thelma disclosed, explaining that whilst asked whether she recalls that precise moment, she doesn't, as she was engrossed in reading a book. She continued: "I was aware of people around me, but not aware at all." Thelma remembered attempting to send a text message upon reaching Liverpool Street, but she heard sudden sounds and witnessed flashes before regaining consciousness on the railway track, reports the Express. Throughout the interview, Thelma discussed how communities united in response, with Lorraine highlighting how the attacks had transformed London as a metropolis. The presenter remarked: "It was so interesting, actually very heartening, Thelma, in the days, weeks and months after this, people really came together. London gets criticised for being a city where nobody talks to one another and keeps people at a distance, but I really noticed that. ‌ "I remember that vividly, the way that people were making eye contact. There was a care there for one another." Thelma then shared her experience with her prosthetic limb, explaining how after an NHS error, public donations helped her acquire the correct prosthetic. "Absolutely. I was given a limb that did not match my skin tone by the NHS," she told Lorraine. "It was the generosity of the public that money was collected by what is now the London Emergencies Trust, who came to my rescue - because although I'm a fighter, I did not have the energy at the time to fight the NHS - to give me money which was used to purchase a limb which matched my skin tone." ‌ Lorraine responded with shock, saying: "Oh, for goodness' sake! I've spoken to people who have come back, soldiers coming back from Afghanistan, and they've had the same thing happen back then. "Things have changed, thanks to the likes of yourself. But, as if things aren't bad enough, you should not have to deal with that. That's ridiculous!" ‌ Daily Record has contacted the NHS for a comment. In a poignant declaration, Thelma pledged her unwavering determination, asserting: "We will fight against terrorism, we will never be defeated." She continued with heartfelt resolve: "And, for the lives of the 52 people, who, in a reckless, senseless attack, lost their lives, I will never give up. We will never give up." Catch Lorraine on weekdays at 9am on ITV1.
