Maren Morris opens up about difficulties after divorce; talks about co-parenting with her ex-husband
Maren Morris , the American country singer, opened up about the difficulties after the divorce, and while the relationship has been 'friendly,' it has been weird. Friendly but weird During a podcast episode of Therapuss with Jake Shane, the singer revealed the intricacies of being divorced in a small town like Nashville, where she and her ex-husband, Ryan Hurd, have mutual friends. 'In Nashville, you know I've been divorced for a little over a year now. It's a small town, and we're all friends, and we all work together, and the music industry is very tiny there,' the 35-year-old artist said about her 38-year-old ex, according to People magazine. The relationship between the two is friendly at a point, but it has been weird as their mutual friends had to pick sides after the split. 'Just in terms of respect for each other. I saw a really close friend of my ex's at a bar a couple months ago, and I was with my best friend,' she explained, before adding, 'We all used to hang out together for a decade or more and then it's like, 'Damn, it's just going to be kind of weird.' Maybe it's just going to be weird for the first few years. " Maren Morris moved past the hurdles... Morris and Hurd share a 5-year-old son, Hayes. Further in the episode, Maren revealed that fortunately, she and her ex had moved past the problems, keeping their son as their priority. 'We're over a year out now ... we get along now and have moved past a lot of it. We're neighbours, and I'm just so fortunate that we have put our son above each other's s—, and it's better for the two of us if we're getting along,' she said, adding that they have the highest respect for each other.

Lorde Brings Down The ‘Hammer' With New Single
Lorde New Zealand singer Lorde has been in the public eye since she was a teenager, effectively growing up in the spotlight and coming into her own in front of millions of fans. Her upcoming fourth studio album Virgin is shaping up to be a treatise on discovering who you are and reconciling who that person is with what others — in this case, the world — might think of you. The recently released single 'Man of the Year' elaborated on that sentiment, and her latest single 'Hammer' gives a wider look into her psyche at this moment in her life and career. 'I burn and I sing and I scheme and I dance / Some days I'm a woman, some days I'm a man," she sings on the track. 'I might have been born again / I'm ready to feel like I don't have thе answers / There's pеace in the madness over our heads / Let it carry me on.' Much like the Polaroid photo on the album cover, Virgin is meant to represent a snapshot of the Kiwi crooner's life as she enters her late twenties. 'This is just me at this exact age and stage. It feels like a section of my favorites in my camera roll or something. Just like, 'These are the iconic moments from age 26 to age 28,'' she said on the Therapuss podcast. Ultimately, what came out of her hard work and deep introspection was her favorite project to date. '[This album] sort of took some bravery, actually,' she confessed. 'I've never loved anything I've made so much. It's so sick.' Lorde is supporting the new project with the Ultrasound World Tour, set to criss-cross North America and Europe later this year. Hit-making musicians Blood Orange, Empress Of, Nilüfer Yanya, and Oklou will join her on select dates throughout the tour. Virgin is out June 27. The Ultrasound World Tour kicks off Sept. 17 in Austin and wraps up Dec. 17 in Brooklyn.

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd's friends had to 'pick sides' after split
Maren Morris lost friends after splitting from Ryan Hurd. The 35-year-old singer and the 38-year-old songwriter - who have five-year-old son Hayes together - separated last year after six years of marriage and she's admitted it has been "weird" seeing people who she used to regularly hang out with but no longer does because they felt they had to "pick sides". Speaking on the Therapuss podcast, Maren said: 'In Nashville, you know I've been divorced for a little over a year now. 'It's a small town and we're all friends and we all work together, and the music industry is very tiny there. "I'm really friendly with my ex and we have our son that's always our biggest priority. It is weird because we were together for so long that so many of our friends had to sort of… .' Host Jake Shane interjected: "Pick sides?" Maren replied: 'Yeah, well just in terms of respect for each other. "'I saw a really close friend of my ex's at a bar a couple months ago, and I was with my best friend, and we all used to hang out together for a decade or more — and then it's like, damn, it's just going to be kind of weird. Maybe it's just going to be weird for the first few years, I don't know.' Maren also reflected how other events have impacted on her friendships in recent years. The My Church hitmaker believes the COVID-19 pandemic "changed a lot of people", while becoming a mom led to other pals "falling away", though it also brought new people into her life. She said: "[New motherhood] is already such a lonely time, and you're very isolated. "I certainly made friends who are moms through the process, and there are some badass b****es that got me through a lot of that, but yeah, you just naturally kind of realise, 'Oh those people probably put me in a different drawer.'' Maren recently revealed that she has a straightforward co-parenting relationship with Ryan, particularly as they only live five minutes away from one another. Speaking to The Zoe Report, she said: "Our stops are really easy, and we'll have family dinners." Hayes spends alternate weeks with each parent, meaning Maren has had to adjust to spending time on her own. She said: "Those weeks I have him, the house is full of chaos and energy and laughter and scraped knees. 'And then, when he is not there, you have to recalibrate your alone-ness because you're like, 'Wow, this is just me in here now.' That's when I've leaned into it and not been drowned by my own company."

Why Addison Rae suddenly vanished from social media without warning
Addison Rae might have danced her way into our feeds with lip-syncs and viral trends, but behind the glitter and glam of TikTok stardom, there was a girl feeling deeply misunderstood. In a candid convo on Therapuss with Jake Shane, the 'Headphones On' singer opened up about her decision to retreat from constant online exposure. From small-town star to social media influencer Though millions followed her every move, Addison admitted she was never really showing all of herself, and that was intentional. 'People do not post every inch of their soul online,' she pointed out, via Jake Shane. She simply did what she had to do to make it, and let us not forget, she did. Privacy is the new power She has realised the importance of setting boundaries, not because she is hiding anything, but because not everything deserves a comment section. The bigger the audience, the louder the noise, and Addison is done letting that noise dictate her sense of self. Delays, detours, and doing it her way With the release of her self-titled debut album Addison on June 6, she let the music speak for itself. And when asked why she chose such a simple title, her response? Because the music is her. No gimmicks, no labels, just Addison, as raw and real as she wants to be.

Why Addison Rae Took a Step Back from Social Media: 'I Felt So Misunderstood'
Addison Rae is opening up about why she's taken a step back from social media The "Headphones On" singer shared that she's learned to value her privacy following her rise to fame on TikTok "Being misunderstood is definitely annoying and it does get on my nerves sometimes," she saidAddison Rae is taking a step back from social media. During a recent appearance on Therapuss with Jake Shane, the 24-year-old singer opened up about why she's stopped sharing so much of herself on social media platforms, following her rise to fame as a dancer on TikTok. "I felt so misunderstood," she shared of her time on social media, "but I was sharing so much." "Sometimes you do what you need to do to get where you want to go," she continued. "I wasn't showing every part of myself, as one mostly doesn't, you know. There are elements of yourself that surely you don't share online that aren't bad — they just aren't things you're willing to share or talk about or, you know, show." Rae shared that over the course of her young career, she realized that having a sense of privacy is one of the most important things to her. "I think privacy becomes really important over time," she continued. "Like, 'OK, what can I allow people access to that isn't going to hurt me? Or they're not going to use to make me feel conflicted in my own life decisions that I have to make?'" "Being misunderstood is definitely annoying and it does get on my nerves sometimes, but I think over time, I've realized that if somebody's commenting that 'I'm not this' [or] 'This is not who I am.' ... Or when I was 19 I was more authentic," the "Headphones On" singer added. "I'm like, okay, well, I just moved to LA. I'm like, geez. I was from a small town, of course I didn't experience a lot of things or have the opportunity to even figure out who I was in those those ways," she continued. "Because it was life whenever you grow up in a small town." In another part of her conversation with Shane, Rae also shared she's applying the idea of "slowing things down" or taking a step back when it comes to other parts of her life so she can avoid feeling "too exposed." "It happens very frequently with a lot of artists," she shared. "They feel like they're too exposed or they need to pull back or, you know, they're too scared to get overdone or feel like you're too in front of everybody's face and that people will get tired of you." "But I feel like with projects that are delayed or a little bit later or make you wait, it's almost like, 'Okay, not everything has to be now.' And I can feel comfort in the fact that something's coming and not so pressured to make something happen now." Rae most recently released her self-titled debut LP Addison on June 6. During an interview on Quen Blackwell's YouTube series Feeding Starving Celebrities, she opened up about the wide range of topics that the record covers — which influenced its simple name. Rae thought about self-titling the album "for a really long time," noting, "when you do hear all of the music like straight through, there's not really a title that like encompasses all of it." "Everybody that I played it to as well they were just like, 'Oh it just sounds like just like you. Like it just sounds like music you would make,'" she recalled. 'I don't really know what else to call it and so I was like, 'Maybe then the album is just my name.'" Read the original article on People
