Theta Edge wins RM88mil job to build fibre optic infrastructure
KUALA LUMPUR: Theta Edge Bhd has bagged a RM87.9 million contract from PG Linkaran Fibre Sdn Bhd for the procurement, construction and commissioning of fibre optic infrastructure within the Northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. Theta Edge said the contract has been awarded to a strategic consortium between its subsidiary Theta Technologies Sdn Bhd and Harta Unity Sdn Bhd. "The contract strengthens Theta Edge's positioning in the fast-growing telecommunications infrastructure segment," it said in a statement today. Theta Edge group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Nuraslina Zainal Abidin said this contract win reflects the market's confidence in the company's capabilities and its growing track record in delivering complex, high-impact infrastructure projects. Nuraslina said it also marks another important step in its efforts to secure projects that offer long-term value creation and support our growth trajectory. "We continue to sharpen our focus on opportunities that match our core strengths in digital infrastructure and smart technology. "This latest contract aligns with our strategy to deliver sustainable growth through disciplined execution and strong stakeholder partnerships," she said. The project commences from July 1, 2025 and involves a comprehensive scope covering procurement, construction, commissioning, and the delivery of a fully operable and compliant fiber optic network. The fixed lump sum contract structure provides clear revenue visibility and enhances the earnings profile of the company starting from the current financial year.

Theta Edge gets RM87.9mil fiber job
PETALING JAYA: Theta Edge Bhd has secured a contract from PG Linkaranfiber Sdn Bhd (PGL) for the procurement, construction and commissioning of fiber optic infrastructure along Petronas Gas Bhd 's pipeline right of way (Silica Project) – Package A (Northern), worth RM87.87mil. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information, communication and technology provider said the contract shall commence from June 25, 2025 and shall continue to remain valid until the completion of the works and the fulfilment of all the contractor's and PGL's obligations under the contract. 'The contract price is based on a non-escalating, all-inclusive fixed lump sum of RM87.87mil for the base scope.' Theta said it will be required to perform the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract and shall ensure that the completed facilities are safe and reliable; be responsible for all procurement, construction, commissioning and other related activities to construct complete, safe and operable facilities; procure and supply all manpower, materials and equipment required for the construction of the facilities.

Theta Edge bags RM87.87mil fibre optic contract
KUALA LUMPUR: Theta Edge Bhd's (THETA) wholly-owned subsidiary, Theta Technologies Sdn Bhd (TTSB), has secured a RM87.87 million contract from PG Linkaranfiber Sdn Bhd. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the digital transformation provider stated that the contract involves the procurement, construction, and commissioning of fibre optic infrastructure along Petronas Gas Bhd's pipeline right-of-way, specifically for the Silica Project Package A (Northern). "The contract commenced on June 25, 2025, being the date of the letter of award, and is valid until the completion of the works. "The contract is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of THETA and its group of companies, THETA Group, for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025 and onwards until the termination of the contract," it said.

Theta Edge, Agmo to set up JV in AI sphere
KUALA LUMPUR: Theta Edge Bhd's unit Theta Technologies Sdn Bhd will set up a new company with Agmo Holdings Bhd's unit Agmo Capital Sdn Bhd to drive artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled platform growth. The new company aims to speed up the commercialisation of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and digital platforms, starting with solutions for the public sector. It will also act as the delivery arm for Theta's AI platform, ThetaNeuron, enabling faster rollout of AI-powered tools in areas such as digital health, halal traceability and smart analytics. Agmo will contribute its proven digital tools, including generative AI chatbots, e-invoicing platforms, localised language models, telehealth systems, and blockchain verification tools, designed for both large companies and startups. Theta Edge group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Nuraslina Zainal Abidin said by combining Agmo's strengths in agile platform development with Theta's domain expertise, the joint venture is well-positioned to deliver meaningful impact across financial services, healthcare, halal trade, smart logistics and the public sector. Agmo chief executive officer Tan Aik Keong said the collaboration extends its ready-to-deploy technologies into regulated environments focused on service efficiency and accessibility. "Through this joint venture, we aim to develop future-ready and data-secure systems that reflect the real needs of clients in sectors undergoing rapid digital transformation," he noted.

Theta Edge bags RM4.4mil mobile x-ray contract from NCSM
PETALING JAYA: Theta Edge Bhd has accepted a letter of award from the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) for the provision of mobile X-ray equipment worth RM4.38mil. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the software company said the X-ray equipment comes with cloud-based connectivity and built-in artificial intelligence for diagnostics and related services based on a usage-based model. 'The contract scope includes procurement, supply, installation, and maintenance of mobile X-ray equipment at NCSM facilities. 'The contract shall be for a period of five years commencing from June 20, 2025.' The company added that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of Theta and its group of companies for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025 and onwards until the termination of the contract. 'The company does not foresee any exceptional risk other than the normal operational risks associated with the Contract during the contract period. Nevertheless, the company will take the necessary steps to mitigate the risks as and when they occur.'
