Lola Tung Reveals How This Taylor Swift Moment Almost Made Her ‘Pass Out'
THE RUNDOWN Lola Tung is a true Swiftie. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with her co-stars Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney, Tung spoke about a sweet encounter she had with Taylor Swift. Though she hasn't yet met Swift officially, she said she did attend the Eras Tour with Jenny Han, the creator of The Summer I Turned Pretty and the author of the 2009 novel of the same name. 'We were right by the stage when she played 'False God,' which was also on the show,' Tung said. 'She looked at us, waved, and was like, 'I love you guys' and did a little heart [with her hands]. I nearly passed out. It was great.' Tung also shared her favorite Swift songs: 'The Way I Loved You,' 'Delicate,' and 'You Belong With Me.' Fallon agreed with her picks, adding that 'Delicate' is his 'jam' and that his other favorite is 'the last great american dynasty.' Swift songs have become a huge part of the Prime Video series. For its first season, her song 'This Love (Taylor's Version)' was included in the trailer. Swift shared the trailer on Instagram at the time, writing: 'Thank you @jennyhan for debuting my version of This Love in the trailer for @thesummeriturnedpretty!! I've always been so proud of this song and I'm very 🥺🥺🥺 about this turn of events.' Since then, several of her songs have appeared in the series, including 'Back to December (Taylor's Version)' and 'August.' The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is available to stream now. Watch Tung's full appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon below:

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 trailer drops with a double dose of Taylor Swift
The first trailer for "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3 is here, and it's bringing all the feels — along with a generous dose of Taylor Swift. The Prime Video romantic drama returns July 16 with a third and final season that wraps up the love triangle involving Belly (Lola Tung) and two brothers who've been her lifelong friends. Set to a soaring mash-up of 'Daylight' and 'Red,' the teaser hints at a season packed with the kind of romantic tension that only a Cousins Beach summer can deliver. Yes, the love triangle is still very much alive ... and messier than ever. Season 3 picks up after the emotional fallout of the second season finale. In the trailer, Belly is happy and in love with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). So happy that the young couple wants to get married! Emphasis on the young. Belly's mom Laurel (Jackie Chung) thinks they're too young, but Jeremiah is adamant that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Belly. Meanwhile, their nuptial plans come as a shock to Conrad (Christopher Briney), Jeremiah's brother and Belly's ex, because he's still in love with her, too. The trailer is soundtracked by two Taylor Swift songs. First comes 'Daylight," which is about leaving behind the darkness of past heartbreaks and discovering a love that feels warm and healing. Its use suggests that Belly may have found "the one" in Jeremiah. Yet, when Conrad comes back into the picture, the anthemic "Red" soars. The song describes the intense, tumultuous emotions of a passionate but ultimately doomed relationship. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The mash-up of those two songs indicate that, once again, Belly will be torn between the steady, gentle love offered by Jeremiah and the burning fire that is Conrad. Based on Jenny Han's bestselling trilogy, "The Summer I Turned Pretty" has always leaned heavily on music to heighten its emotional beats, and Swift's catalog has been a recurring companion. Past seasons have included 'This Love," "Invisible String" and "Delicate." Season 3 will include 11 episodes — up from the seven and eight of the first two seasons — giving the series more time to conclude Belly's romantic journey. Whether you're Team Conrad, Team Jeremiah or just here for the Taylor Swift montages, one thing's clear: "The Summer I Turned Pretty" is gearing up for its most emotionally charged season yet. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3 premieres Wednesday, July 16 on Prime Video.

Embrace the heat with these 4 Taylor Swift tracks
Happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time? That's just summer for you — a season brimming with the thrill of trying something new and embracing regrets with open arms. So as the heat rages on, don't let your music fall behind. Douse the sweltering season with these four tracks by Taylor Swift. 'Cruel Summer' You knew the list had to start with this one. Aside from the obvious mention of the season, this song captures everything summer is about — from the flaming heat to the daring adventures. Take it from a summer lover (allusion to the relevant album not intended), Cruel Summer will keep you on your toes whether it is to jam to the catchy beat, race the fast-paced flow of the lyrics, or motivate you to have late-night excursions. Summer's a knife, as Swift tells us. 'Run (Taylor's Version)' Sometimes you need a little more than bold excursions, and this song paints the portrait of the verdant getaway you're aching for. After all, summer is the perfect time for you to bid your home a temporary farewell. Run (Taylor's Version) croons into your ears like the gentle breeze that drifts past you and your companions on a road trip. And as you dream up a real one, let the mellow vocals of Swift and Ed Sheeran steer you away on an imagined journey. 'dorothea' Something about the warm air also pries open a dusty keepsakes box loaded with nostalgia. If you are someone who associates summer with scurrying about your school grounds or flashing your popsicle-red tongue to your friends, this is the song for you. Tears are not guaranteed but a definite possibility for those with fading memories of friends lost through the summers. But for others, who find it easy to warm up to the idea of looking back on simpler times, dorothea is a track laced with bittersweet reminiscence and the possibility of reconnecting with old neighbourhoods and forgotten friends that might be closer than you think. 'This Love (Taylor's Version)' For those bent on believing that the speed of summer doesn't offer silent, solitary moments, let this song prove you otherwise. This Love (Taylor's Version) is your soft hum against the waves of the beach as the sun rises over the horizon or, depending on what you prefer, as the night grows quieter. The reflective song kicks off with an image of the tides and how they wash away uninvited heat, be it the heat clinging to your body or the heat of an old flame. The song picks up pace as it goes on, reminding us that time waits for no one. So as you juggle adventures, freedom, nostalgia, and melancholy, here's your affirmation that you're treasuring every moment of the long season at your capacity. Have something to add to the story?
