Thousands perform ‘Balitharpanam' on Karkidaka Vavu in Kannur, Kasaragod
Thousands offered 'Balitharpanam' in Kannur and Kasaragod districts on the occasion of Karkidaka Vavu on Thursday (July 24, 2025).
The rituals began at dawn and concluded by noon at various temples and ghats, including Payyambalam beach, Sundareswaram Temple at Talap, Trichambaram Sri Krishna Temple at Taliparambu, and Thrikkai Siva Temple at Thalassery.
In Kasaragod
In Kasaragod, over 25,000 people performed rituals at the Trikkannad Tryambakeshwara Temple.
Owing to rough sea conditions, sea ablution was prohibited. Volunteers assisted devotees at several locations.
