Rs 95.53 cr Rythu Bharosa funds credited to Wanaparthy farmers

Wanaparthy: District collector Adarsh Surabhi reported that as of Monday, Rythu Bharosa funds worth Rs 95.53 crore have been deposited in the accounts of 1,34,537 farmers in the district, who own less than two acres. He assured that the remaining eligible farmers will receive their funds gradually over the next nine days. On Monday, he along with local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, agricultural officers, and farmers gathered at the Nagavaram Rythu Vedika to watch the 'Rythu Nestham' programme via video conference. This programme, initiated by CM Revanth Reddy, in collaboration with his Cabinet colleagues, was organised from Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University in Hyderabad and connected with farmers from all districts across the State. Participating in the event, the MLA urged farmers in the district to shift their focus from mono-cropping to crop diversification. He suggested cultivating essential crops like vegetables, pulses and oil palm, which have high daily demand, to ensure profitable farming.

Wanaparthy: Local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy stated that government schools can be strengthened only through public participation. On Friday, he visited Yapalra village in Pebbair mandal and participated in Jathara celebrations to mark Eruvaka Punnami, as well as the aksharabhyasam programme at the ZPHS and the primary school. Thudi said the government was providing facilities for children's education, including free books, uniforms, and meals. He appealed to parents to enrol their children in government schools. The MLA appreciated the fact that school facilities in Yapalra are being developed with the support of donors, calling it a commendable effort.

Wanaparthy: Local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy honoured several Telangana movement activists in the constituency with shawls on Monday. Later, he participated in the foundation stone ceremony of a Telangana Martyrs' Memorial at Vivekananda Crossroads. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA proposed naming the crossroads near the medical college in Wanaparthy as 'Telangana Crossroads' and announced the installation of a Telangana Talli statue alongside the Telangana Martyrs' Memorial in the town. He said Telangana activists in Wanaparthy would be duly honoured and provided with Indiramma houses, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam benefits, and 250-yard plots. Thudi declared that the upcoming IT tower to be constructed here would be named after TG ideologue Prof Jayashankar. He condemned the humiliation of revolutionary leaders like Gaddar and in contrast appreciated the Congress government's decision to honour Gaddar's daughter Vennela by appointing her as the State president of Telangana Cultural wing.

Wanaparthy district: Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy assured the victims that he will stand by the victims of Sai Finance from the Revalli mandal center. On Sunday, 32 victims met the MLA under the auspices of Revalli Mandal Congress Party President Vadala Parvatal and explained the problem. The victims complained that they were cheated of Rs 1 crore 32 lakhs in relation to 32 people and that they were cheated by believing in the finance clause while fasting and changing their stomachs. Responding to this, the MLA said that he would stand by them and work to resolve the problem until the financier returns your money to you. He said that there is no way that the people who have cheated the poor will spare any of them. Among those who met the MLA were victims Kurva Parvatal, Kalla Lakshmaiah, Nookam Bondaiah, Kurva Mallesh, Pabbati Mallesh M Balachandraiah, Kalla Sayamma, Kalla Shivadu, Gopala Buddaiah, Baini Kurmaiah and many others.

MLA puts spotlight on making Wanaparthy a police-friendly district

Wanaparthy: 'We will provide full support and cooperation to the police department to ensure law and order, and to make Wanaparthy district rank first in the state as a friendly police district,' said local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy. On Saturday, he along with District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, and SP Ravula Giridhar inaugurated the renovated Sub-Divisional Police Office at the Police Headquarters, which was formerly an old building. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that to maintain law and order in the district, the police department must have adequate infrastructure, and he assured his full cooperation in this regard. He emphasised that it is the responsibility of the police officers to make Wanaparthy district rank first among the 33 districts in the State in terms of law and order and friendly policing. He said the police offices that ensure public safety should be easily accessible to the public, and hence the DSP office has been renovated and reopened. He congratulated the Collector for sanctioning the funds for the building renovation. He also announced that he is sanctioning Rs 20 lakhs from his personal funds to meet the infrastructural needs of the police department in Wanaparthy town and its mandals. He further mentioned that the government has issued orders to construct new Tahsildar offices in three mandals of the district, each at a cost of Rs 32 lakhs. He also stated that efforts are being made to build new Station House Officer (SHO) offices in those mandals, as well as to get approval for a Circle Office and another SHO post in the town. Earlier, the MLA, District Collector, and District SP jointly honoured DSP Venkateshwara Rao by ceremonially seating him in his chair. DSP Venkateshwara Rao, Market Yard Chairman Srinivas Goud, Tahsildar Ramesh Reddy, Circle Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and other police staff participated in the event.
