WWE legend reacts to Kyle Larson copying his iconic signature celebration

Triple H certainly didn't expect a piece of his iconic WWE entrance to appear in NASCAR, especially not with a wine goblet in hand. But that's exactly what happened as some viral images of Kyle Larson's 2021 Sonoma victory recently resurfaced. In that moment, Larson had some fun celebrating with an arm raised to the crowd and spraying wine all over himself and the team. You could practically hear the song 'Time to Play the Game' playing in the background. Triple H took to X to react to it, saying: 'Never thought of doing it with wine…' The moment is from June 2021 when Kyle Larson enjoyed a historic, dominant win at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma (popularly referred to as the 'Wine Country' NASCAR race). Kyle Larson, adhering to his drinking-on-the-run tradition, sipped from a goblet of red wine and celebrated his victory by spraying the entire area with it. The wind direction caught the spray of wine and poor positioning happened. Without fail, the clip eventually made the social media rounds as NASCAR fans made the amusing connection to Triple H's classic WWE entrance process. Kyle Larson hasn't slowed down since. In 2025 he's already got three Cup Series wins and is a key player in Hendrick Motorsports' championship push. He led 411 out of 500 laps at Bristol and was the most dominant driver of the weekend. Across the board he's been fast, aggressive and sharp. He's also extended one of the longest active streaks in the sport, winning at least one race per season for 19 straight years. WWE stars attend NBA playoffs: Triple H steals the spotlight courtside

Image via Getty The Indiana Pacers' dominant run in the NBA Playoffs saw an unexpected crossover with the world of sports entertainment, as WWE icons Triple H, Nick Khan, and Pat McAfee lit up the sidelines during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers, who now lead the series 3-1 against the New York Knicks, got more than just fanfare – they got 'The Game' himself, complete with his legendary WWE entrance video, sending the crowd into a frenzy. WWE meets the NBA While WWE has long flirted with mainstream sports, this appearance was something else. The NBA arena featured Triple H's signature entrance visuals on the jumbotron, typically reserved for the squared circle. Fans in the arena and across social media platforms were stunned – and delighted. 'This man Triple H got a whole entrance at the Pacer game 😂,' one fan wrote on X, while another added, 'Triple H really said 'Time to Play the Game' courtside. The King of Kings knows how to make an entrance ANYWHERE!' — SenBaijnath (@SenBaijnath) The crossover wasn't entirely unexpected. WWE had previously joked about 'booking' the Knicks vs. Pacers rivalry after a SmackDown segment last year featured a dramatic face-off between Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Your Finger Shape Says a Lot About Your Personality, Read Now Tips and Tricks Undo WWE is clearly leaning into its influence, and it seems the Pacers have embraced the synergy. Also present at the game was WWE CEO Nick Khan, alongside McAfee, a proud Pacers supporter and WWE commentator. The trio's presence comes amid a steady ratings climb for WWE SmackDown, which drew 1.38 million viewers on May 23, despite going up against stiff competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs. Stephanie Vaquer's push reflects WWE's evolving vision Meanwhile, WWE's NXT brand is making headlines of its own. Rising star Stephanie Vaquer, who recently lost her NXT Women's Championship in dramatic fashion, is rumored to be heading to the main roster. Reports suggest Vaquer may soon debut on Monday Night RAW, with potential plans involving a major storyline alongside other rising talents. Vaquer's potential promotion, coupled with WWE's growing footprint in mainstream sports events, highlights a strategic push under Triple H's creative leadership. With WWE now finding ways to blend entertainment and real-world sports seamlessly, moments like this could become the norm. Whether it's at ringside or courtside, WWE seems to have found its sweet spot - right in the heart of pop culture's biggest stages.
