Trailer For Jamie Foxx and Robert De Niro's Action Thriller TIN SOLDIER — GeekTyrant
Here's a trailer for a upcoming action thriller titled Tin Soldier , which stars Jamie Foxx, Robert De Niro, Scott Eastwood, and John Leguizamo. With a great cast like that, you might expect a good movie, but this looks super generic! I'm not sure how they pulled that casting off! The synopsis for the film reads: 'Jamie Foxx will put you under his spell in this cult compound extraction thriller. The Bokushi preaches to hundreds of war veterans, drawn to the promise of protection and purpose under him. 'Surrounded by his devout military-trained followers, he has built an impenetrable fortress & amassed an arsenal. After several failed infiltration attempts, the government – in the form of operative Emmanuel Ashburn – recruits Nash Cavanaugh, an ex-special forces asset, who was once a disciple of The Bokushi. 'Nash agrees to use his vulnerable past & insider knowledge of the enigmatic leader to finally get revenge on the man who took everything from him, including the love of his life.' Tin Soldier is directed by Brad Furman (The Take, The Lincoln Lawyer, Runner Runner) and it's set to be released direct-to-streaming in the UK on July 23rd, 2025.

Jamie Foxx breaks down as he talks about his near-death experience at BET 2025: ‘I saw the memoriam and thought that I could be there'
There are a few artists in the world who can boast a career like Jamie Foxx. He has shared the screen with some of the most iconic movie stars in the world and featured on songs with the biggest names in the music industry. To honour that very career and his contributions to the arts, he was facilitated with the Ultimate Icon Award at the BET awards this year. Jamie thanked his fans and delivered a very personal acceptance speech in which he talked about his health struggles and how the actor almost lost his life recently. While accepting the award, Jamie acknowledged the love and praise he has received from people and said, 'I cannot begin to express the love that I feel from everyone out here.' A fan promptly screamed out, 'We love you, Jamie,' and the actor had to take a moment to gather himself. He continued, 'When I saw that memoriam, I thought about how that could have been me. I don't know why I went through and whatever I went through, but I know that I am not going to turn down this second chance.' The actor then moved on to talking about his two daughters, who were in the audience and how they gave him the strength to get back up. Anelise Estelle Fox, my baby with the big hair. The doctors said that I might not survive, and she overheard it. She then came in to my hospital room with her guitar and said, 'I know what my daddy needs.'' In another video posted by Jamie on the internet, he talked about his health and told his fans that the reason there were no updates or news from his end was because he didn't want anyone to see him like that. He had initially opened up about his illness back in 2023, when he suffered a stroke due internal bleeding in his brain. On the professional front, Foxx was last seen in the film Tin Soldier and the Netflix flick Back In Action. Though both movies failed to make a mark on the minds of the audience and weren't very well received, fans of the actor will be hoping to see the Django Unchained actor back on his acting steed soon.

John Leguizamo and daughter Allegra to share first on-screen moment in ‘Tin Soldier'
John Leguizamo is about to have a special Hollywood moment—acting alongside his daughter, Allegra Leguizamo, for the first time. The Menu star, 64, revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that the father-daughter duo will share the screen in Tin Soldier, an action film also starring Robert De Niro and Jamie Foxx. 'We did this movie together, and she had to hold a gun to my face,' Leguizamo shared. 'She's never even held a gun before—it was a crazy moment.' The film is set for release in May 2025. Allegra, 25, is the eldest of Leguizamo's two children with his wife, Justine Maurer. The couple, who married in 2003, also share a son, Lucas, 24. Leguizamo reflected on how fatherhood has influenced his career, particularly in his upcoming film Bob Trevino Likes It. 'Having kids changes you forever. It's a gift, but also a lifelong worry,' he explained. 'It helped me tap into the loneliness my character feels in Bob Trevino Likes It.' Outside of acting, Leguizamo and Maurer embrace their blended cultural backgrounds. The actor, who grew up Catholic, shared how their family celebrates both Jewish and Christian traditions, including Passover seders and Hanukkah alongside Easter and Christmas. With Tin Soldier on the horizon, fans will soon see Allegra step into the spotlight alongside her famous father.
