This Actor Vanished After Hit Debut, Now Runs Rs 8,500 Crore Firm

Many stars enter Bollywood, shine briefly, and then disappear. However, one such actor is Girish Kumar, who made a blockbuster debut in 2013 with his first film ' Ramaiya Vastavaiya ', but soon vanished from the industry. The film was directed by Prabhu Deva and featured Shruti Haasan alongside Girish. The music, especially the song ' Jeene Laga Hoon ', became very popular among the audience. The film performed well at the box office and Girish received numerous award nominations for best debut. Everyone thought Girish would have a long career in Bollywood, but his second film ' Loveshuda ', released in 2016, failed to impress both the audience and the box office. Following this, Girish distanced himself from films and never appeared on screen again. Although Girish quit acting, he carved out a new identity in his family business. Girish is the son of Tips Industries owner Kumar S. Taurani and the nephew of Ramesh Taurani. Tips Industries is a major music and film production company, which has delivered numerous hits like ' Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai ', ' Kya Kehna ', ' Roz ', ' Ishq Vishk ', and ' Race '. According to a Financial Express report, Girish is now the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tips Industries and plays an essential role in further increasing its market value, which stands at Rs 8,533 crore. His hard work and business acumen have expanded Tips to more than 1,000 wholesalers and 4 lakh retailers. As of June 24, 2025, the market value of Tips was Rs 8,533.4 crore, and Girish's personal wealth is estimated at around Rs 2,164 crore. This amount exceeds the net worth of Ranbir Kapoor (400 crores), Ranveer Singh (245 crores), and even Aamir Khan (1,900 crores). Girish married his childhood friend Krishna Mangwani in 2016, and they now live a happy life in Mumbai with their child. While Girish may have left the glitz of Bollywood, his success at Tips Industries has shown that success can be found not only on screen but also in the business world.

Maalik India Box Office Day 6: Rajkummar Rao's gangster film collects Rs 1.50 crore on Wednesday, approaches Rs 20 crore mark

Rajkummar Rao's latest release, Maalik, is heading towards an unfortunate end at the box office. Maalik collects Rs 1.50 crore on Day 6, cume approaches Rs 20 crore mark Bankrolled by Tips Industries and Northern Light Films, Maalik collected Rs 1.50 crore on its 6th day at the Indian box office, taking the total cume to Rs 19.35 crore net. Meet actor, who hasn't given a single hit in 13 years, now runs a business worth Rs 8500 crore, name is..., father is..., not Vivek Oberoi

In the glittering rush of Bollywood's 2010s debut wave—when the likes of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Ayushmann Khurrana exploded onto the scene—one face briefly lit up the silver screen and then quietly vanished: Girish Kumar. Was launched in Ramaiya Vastavaiya He launched into the limelight with Ramaiya Vastavaiya in 2013, a romantic drama directed by Prabhu Deva and co-starring Shruti Haasan. Though the film was only an average performer at the box office, its soundtrack became a hit, and Girish was even nominated for several Best Debut awards. But unlike his contemporaries, Girish didn't stick around. His second and last film, Loveshhuda (2016), bombed critically and commercially. And just like that, the actor walked away from the arc lights—never to return. But Girish didn't exit the industry entirely. As the son of veteran producer Kumar S. Taurani and nephew of Ramesh Taurani, he stepped into the family-run Tips Industries. Today, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the music and film giant. While fans wondered why he disappeared, Girish was quietly building an empire. Thanks to his stake in the company—currently valued at Rs 8,533.40 crore on the NSE—Girish's personal wealth now reportedly stands at Rs 2,164 crore. That's more than Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and even Aamir Khan. Now a husband and father, Girish was recently spotted in Mumbai, far removed from the world of red carpets and press tours. While many stars chase the spotlight, he chose a quieter path—one that made him one of Bollywood's most unexpectedly wealthy men.
