Zayn Malik's brother-in-law Martin Tiser 'jailed for 4 years for drug dealing'
After a raid on his home in Bradford, Martin Tiser, the brother-in-law of Zayn Malik, has been found guilty of drug dealing and sentenced to four years in prison. Tiser, 23, was reportedly found with £17,000 worth of 'crack cocaine' in his garden shed, guarded by a large dog plus grip-sealed bags and scales at the property. Upon being searched, police also found 29 wraps of crack cocaine, 13 wraps of heroin and £1,000. Tiser married Malik's youngest sister, Safaa, in September 2019, when she was 17 and he was 18 at the One Direction star's family home in Bradford. The Pillowtalk singer, who did not attend the wedding as he was in the US at the time, purchased the house for his parents after the band's breakthrough. He also bought a £245,000 home on the same road for his sister, Tiser, and their daughter Zaneyah, born four months after the nuptials. This was not the property which was raided in May. Tiser was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court this week, having been detained as part of Operation Keyside as part of the 'Kev line', which supplied Class A drugs. The Daily Mail reported that the court heard calls and bulk texts from February 2025, advertising drugs, with the line active close to Tiser's home. 'Kev on power…pure dynamite from 8-8. Best deals,' one text shown to the court read. Prosecutor Alisha Kaye stated a phone used for the 'Kev line' was discovered on him when they raided his home. CCTV also showed him buying mobile phone top-up vouchers, thought to be for the device. She also revealed previous convictions, including possession of cannabis and driving while over the drug limit. Judge Recorder Hawkins told Tiser: 'You're only 23 and you have a conviction in relation to drugs, but it was simply possession of cannabis, but it was plain you were taking drugs, and it may be because of that you got involved in these offences.' Mitigating, Safter Salam, said: 'He came here unable to speak a word of English. He struggled to assimilate himself and challenges that this defendant faced were not just linguistic. 'He grew up in a deprived area, being isolated socially and emotionally. He was highly vulnerable to exploitation.' She continued that Tiser, who is of Slovakian descent, was 'preyed upon' and 'manipulated by other, more sophisticated individuals'. 'This offending took place when he was unsupported and desperate. It is not accepted he had a leading role or significant role,' she added. More Trending Tiser, who is thought to still be married to Safaa, must serve a minimum of two years before a possible release on license. Malik has not addressed his brother-in-law's arrest or sentencing, and currently resides in America, moving to rural Pennsylvania with daughter Khai. Martin Tiser, the brother-in-law of former One Direction star Zayn Malik, has been sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a county lines drug network. The 23-year-old was convicted following a raid at his home in Bradford, where police uncovered evidence of drug trafficking tied to a Class A distribution line. Authorities discovered £17,000 worth of crack cocaine stored in a garden shed guarded by a large dog, along with heroin, cash, and drug packaging materials inside the property. Tiser was found in possession of 29 wraps of crack cocaine, 13 wraps of heroin, and £1,000 in cash when arrested. Additional evidence included kitchen scales, sealable bags, and the mobile phone linked to a drug line known as the 'Kev line.' Tiser, who is married to Zayn Malik's youngest sister Safaa, was identified as part of Operation Keyside, a major investigation into county lines activity in the Bradford area. The court heard that Tiser's phone was used to send bulk text messages advertising drugs, one of which read: 'Kev on power... pure dynamite from 8-8. Best deals.' CCTV footage also captured him topping up the phone associated with the line. The couple married in 2019 just days after Safaa turned 17, in a traditional Islamic ceremony held at the Malik family home. The former boyband star was absent from the event, though their mother Trisha celebrated the wedding publicly on social media. Tiser and Safaa welcomed a daughter named Zaneyah just months later. During sentencing, Tiser's defence claimed he had faced social and linguistic barriers since arriving in the UK and had been manipulated by more experienced criminals. However, Judge Recorder Hawkins stressed that while Tiser was young, his involvement in serious drug offences could not be overlooked.
