Heidi Klum Reveals the "Weird" Places She Has Gray Hairs on Her Body

And no, they're not on her Gist Heidi Klum is living her best life at 52, but admitted there's one "weird" aging experience that she's had to deal with. In an exclusive cover story interview with People published on Monday, July 28, the supermodel shared that gray hairs have sprouted up on some unexpected places on her body. Klum also told the publication, "I have no problem walking around in my underwear" as she opened up about her confident Klum is only feeling sexier and more confident at 52—just take one look at her bikini-packed, PDA-filled summer with husband Tom Kaulitz—but aging has come with one undesirable side effect. In an exclusive cover story interview with People published on Monday, July 28, Klum candidly shared that gray hairs have sprouted up on some unexpected places on her body. While the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit icon revealed that her experience with graying hadn't impacted her famous blonde mane just yet, silver hairs had popped up in some other areas. 'I have one in my eyebrow. It's so weird,' she admitted, adding, 'And I have one on this boob that is this long sometimes.' Despite the body changes that have come with getting older, Klum said her confidence hasn't wavered—especially with more societal acceptance around aging. 'Now it's okay to be older—but it didn't use to be like that,' she explained, adding, 'I feel like we're more welcoming of wrinkles and rolls on our body. Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we've changed and come all that way.' Klum also pushed back on naysayers who criticize how much skin she shows in her many lingerie and bikini photos, explaining that getting undressed for the camera feels effortless after her multi-decade career in the modeling industry. 'I've been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram. So for me, it's nothing new,' Klum said, adding, 'For the past 15 years, other people are now doing what I've been doing for 30 years. Instead of being in my little bottoms in a magazine, I'm on Instagram. It's the same thing.' 'People always say, 'You probably got more confidence as you've gotten older,' but I have always been confident,' she continued, revealing that she doesn't have 'this age-shaming or body-shaming' mindset. 'I have no problem walking around in my underwear. I'm not hiding in a corner.' Read the original article on InStyle Solve the daily Crossword

Heidi Klum reveals the ‘sliding door moment' of her life

Heidi Klum knows that one small moment can change everything. The 52-year-old model reflected on the unexpected start to her relationship with her now-husband, Tom Kaulitz, during an interview published Monday with People, leading up to her highly anticipated return to host Project Runway. She said that while she met Kaulitz at a party seven years ago, she nearly skipped that event. 'I really wanted to stay home,' she explained. 'But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt.' She realized her decision to go to the party was 'the sliding door moment' in her life; a phrase referring to how a minor choice can drastically affect life's trajectory. Klum and Kaulitz got engaged in 2018 and married two months later. While they don't share any children together, Klum and her ex-husband Seal have three kids: Henry, 19, Johan, 18, and Lou, 15. Klum and her ex, Flavio Briatore, also had a daughter, Leni, 21, whom Seal legally adopted. The model also told People that the beginning of her relationship with Kaulitz represented a 'clean slate' for her. '[At first] I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with… like 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'' she said. 'But Tom said, 'Don't do this to me, because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.' She acknowledged how sparks have continued to fly between her and her husband, revealing one of their favorite activities to do together: Shop for lingerie. During those outings, Kaulitz sits outside while his wife is in the changing room. She then steps out and shows off her different outfits to him. 'He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up,' she said, noting that there's no jealousy between them. She also credited 'stolen weekends' together and 'handwritten notes' as the keys to her and Kaulitz's relationship. However, she acknowledged that being married hasn't changed the person she is. 'This is pretty much what you get. I'm pretty loud and you know I'm there.' Klum also addressed the ongoing online chatter about her marriage: She's 17 years older than her husband. However, she chooses not to engage with critics who make any comments about that age gap. 'When our door closes at home, I don't really care so much what happens around us,' she explained. 'I've learned things from my husband that I didn't know I was capable of doing.' She shared similar sentiments during a 2023 Instagram Live session, when one person asked her how she felt about being older than her spouse. 'I honestly only feel that way when people point it out to me,' the former America's Got Talent host replied.

Heidi Klum talks judgment over 17-year age gap with husband Tom Kaulitz... and giving each other matching tattoos

Heidi Klum wasn't planning to meet the love of her life the night she met Tom Kaulitz. In fact, she almost didn't go out. 'I really wanted to stay home,' the supermodel, 52, recalled in a new interview with People. 'But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt.' That spontaneous decision to attend a friend's party turned into what Klum now calls 'the sliding door moment' of her life. Seven years later, the supermodel and the Tokio Hotel guitarist, who got engaged in December 2018 and married just two months later, are still going strong. Kaulitz, 35, offered Klum, a mother of four, a 'clean slate' after two previous marriages — first to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino in 1997 and then to British singer-songwriter Seal, with whom she was married for seven years. But with new love came old habits. 'At first I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with… like 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'' she admitted. Ultimately, it was Kaulitz who challenged her to let go of her baggage. The Project Runway revealed, early in their relationship, Kaulitz said: 'Don't do this to me, because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.' Doing this allowed their love to blossom as evidenced by their loved-up red carpet appearances and PDA-filled social media posts. The couple also enjoy a number of shared activities, including shopping for lingerie. 'He loves sitting there, and I go into the changing room and I come out with a different outfit on,' Klum shares. 'He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up.' The two even got matching name tattoos, though Klum jokes: 'His looks much better — so I'm the better tattoo artist.' Despite enjoying life as a wife, Klum says marriage hasn't changed her. 'This is pretty much what you get. I'm pretty loud and you know I'm there.' What keeps the relationship fresh?' she noted. She went on to credit 'stolen weekends,' 'handwritten notes,' and making time for each other for keeping them acting like newlyweds — plus 'a few things she can't share.' Although their 17-year age gap still draws attention, Klum insists she doesn't entertain the criticism. 'When our door closes at home, I don't really care so much what happens around us,' she says. 'I've learned things from my husband that I didn't know I was capable of doing,' she added. At 52, Heidi Klum continues to own her space by maintaining an unapologetically sexy and confident presence both online and offline. 'I've been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram,' she says. 'So for me, it's nothing new. For the past 15 years, other people are now doing what I've been doing for 30 years. Instead of being in my little bottoms in a magazine, I'm on Instagram. It's the same thing.' And she has no plans to tone things down. 'For me to be older, it doesn't matter. I don't have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing. I feel like everyone should do what they want to do. I like to run around sexy — even now at 52.' That's been especially evident this summer, as Klum has been island-hopping in bikinis alongside Kaulitz. She's also vocal about challenging outdated ideas about aging. 'The biggest misconception [about] being in your 50s is that you are off the shelf. You're not off the shelf,' she said. 'We are very much on that shelf for everyone to see. Don't hide in your 50s. Beauty is ever-changing, and I'm here for the change. If it's always the same, life is boring.' Having risen to fame in the 1990s, when heroin chic was popular, Klum appreciates the evolving standards of today. 'Now it's okay to be older — but it didn't use to be like that,' she said. 'I feel like we're more welcoming of wrinkles and rolls on our body. Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we've changed and come all that way.' Still, she embraces modern cosmetic options, too. 'I'm all for Botox,' she declared, noting she's intrigued by celebrities opening up about their procedures. 'Whoever wants to talk about [plastic surgery] and wants to share, give me all the numbers.' Looking ahead, Klum welcomes the journey of aging — gray hair, laugh lines, and all. 'Don't we all want to get old? I know we always say that, but it's the truth. I'm already looking at 60 and 70, hopefully 80 and 90. And if we're still kicking it then, let's celebrate,' she concluded.

Heidi Klum showed off her bedhead in a new Instagram Story shared on Thursday. The supermodel cuddles up to her husband Tom Kaulitz in the intimate selfie. Klum, who's currently rocking a brand new set of full fringe, snapped a photo of herself in bed next to her partner of over five years, whose arm tattoo is clearly visible. "Here we go 🇩🇪 @dfb_frauenteam," Klum wrote in the caption. "We're in ⚽️." After nearly a decade, Klum is reprising her role as host of Project Runway on July 31. Klum shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot from her promotional photoshoot for the show. She sported a nude Lever Couture gown that looked as if it were strung together by sheer ribbons. Featuring a sultry thigh-high slit, it also included an off-the-shoulder neckline and an asymmetrical skirt. Klum wore her blonde tresses in flowing waves, while her makeup consisted of sparkly eyeshadow, winged black eyeliner, and a peachy nude lip. The upcoming 21st season, airing on Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+, also sees the return of judges Nina Garcia and Christian Siriano. Read the original article on InStyle
