Is Tomorrowland canceled? What to know after fire destroys main stage
Tomorrowland's main stage was destroyed by a fire. Despite this, the famous EDM festival is not canceled.
"We are focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend," the festival stated in a post on its Instagram.
DreamVille, the festival's campsite, opened to guests on Thursday, July 17, at 10 a.m. local time, according to an update posted to the festival's website.
All Global Journey events, events included in pre-travel packages sold by the festival, in Brussels and Antwerp, Belgium, will still go on as planned.
"We spent the night working on possible solutions for the Mainstage area," according to the festival.
It will continue to release updates and detailed information about the festival weekend, which takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
While the main stage was destroyed, other parts of the festival venue were not impacted.
What happened to the Tomorrowland main stage?
On Wednesday, July 16 as a massive fire broke out at the Orbyz Mainstage, Tomorrowland's main stage in Belgium.
The blaze erupted just two days before the festival was set to kick off on Friday, July 18 in the city of Boom. Firefighters and law enforcement were on the scene attempting to prevent further spread of the fire, local police reported on Facebook just before 7:30 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, July 16.
No one was injured in the incident, according to officials.

Tomorrowland 2025 dates and lineup
The music festival is slated to kick off Friday, July 18, and run through Sunday, July 20, according to Tomorrowland's website.
Headline performers include French DJ David Guetta, Belgian DJ Charlotte De Witte, and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix.
