What is Call of the Night about?
Call of the Night is a Japanese manga series created by Kotoyama. In November 2021, an official website revealed that the series would be adapted into an anime produced by Liden Films. The first season is directed by Tomoyuki Itamura, with Tetsuya Miyanishi as chief director. Michiko Yokote handles the scriptwriting, Haruka Sagawa is in charge of character design, and the music is composed by Yoshiaki Dewa.
The story follows Ko Yamori, who, restless and discontent with his everyday life, quits school and starts roaming the city streets after dark. One night, he meets Nazuna Nanakusa, a vampire who introduces him to the thrill of living as a night-walker. Captivated, Ko decides he wants to become a vampire himself but to do so, he first needs to fall in love with Nazuna.
