Lauren Sánchez and Patrick Whitesell were married for 14 years and welcomed two children together before their 2019 divorce Whitesell is a Hollywood talent agent and executive He married model Pia Whitesell in 2021Lauren Sánchez's wedding to Jeff Bezos is taking place on June 27 — but it's not her first trip down the aisle. The former Good Day L.A. co-host was previously married to Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell. The pair wed in August 2005 and went on to welcome two children, Evan and Ella. Sánchez also has a son named Nikko, whom she welcomed with NFL player Tony Gonzalez. Sánchez and Whitesell eventually filed for divorce in April 2019 — just a few months after PEOPLE confirmed that she and Bezos were dating. Whitesell is now married to model Pia Whitesell. They tied the knot in 2021 and share a blended family, which includes Pia's two sons from previous relationships. So, who is Lauren Sánchez's ex-husband? Here's everything to know about Patrick Whitesell and his relationship with the former TV host. Whitesell was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was raised by his parents, Jack and Patricia, and is the youngest of their six sons, according to The Athletic. His oldest brother, John, is a TV and film director, while his second-oldest brother, Christopher, is a Daytime Emmy-winning TV writer. Tom, the third son, is a Los Angeles banking executive, and Jim, the fourth son, is a college basketball coach. Meanwhile, Sean, the second youngest Whitesell brother, was a TV producer, actor and writer of series like House and Cold Case. He died in 2015 at age 52 after being diagnosed with brain cancer. The youngest Whitesell brother graduated from Luther College in 1987 before starting his career in the InterTalent mailroom, per Bloomberg. He went on to become an agent at United Talent Agency (UTA) and eventually led the talent department at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). In 2001, he joined talent agency Endeavor, bringing along several celebrity clients including Drew Barrymore, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston, per The New York Times. Eight years later, he helped orchestrate the company's 2009 merger with William Morris Agency. Whitesell also launched a yet-to-be-named media company in March 2025, per Variety. Whitesell and Sánchez married in 2005. Although they announced their separation in January 2019, they continued living together. 'Over the last two or three years, their marriage felt more like a business relationship,' an insider told PEOPLE at the time. Whitesell and Sánchez officially filed for divorce in April 2019 and reached a settlement that October. During their marriage, Whitesell and Sánchez welcomed two children. Their son, Evan, was born in June 2006, while their daughter, Eleanor "Ella" Patricia, arrived in January 2008. Sánchez is also a mom to son Nikko from her relationship with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez. Whitesell and Sánchez have largely kept their children off their social media accounts. Occasionally, though, the mom of three will share about her kids online. In November 2021, Sánchez shared a photo with Ella and Evan on a hike and wrote 'Love these precious moments" in the caption. Whitesell married Pia, an Australian actress and model, in 2021. The couple made their first public appearance together at the 2019 Casamigos Halloween party. Pia has two sons, Lennox and Isaiah, from previous relationships, but she also isn't shy about showing her love for Whitesell's children. In May 2025, she and Whitesell attended Evan's high school graduation. "CONGRATULATIONS EVAN!!" she wrote on her Instagram Stories about the event. "We love you so much 🤍 @evan_whitesell ✨." In February 2025, Pia also gave her husband a sweet birthday shout-out on Instagram. "Here's to many more years of laughter, love, and making incredible memories. We love you deeply," she wrote. "You've worked so hard, loved so deeply, and led with such GRACE. I Love you always." Read the original article on People

Lauren Sanchez's ex Tony Gonzalez and their son Nikko are spotted in Venice ahead of her wedding to Jeff Bezos
's ex-boyfriend NFL star Tony Gonzalez their his son Nikko have been spotted in Venice ahead of her wedding to Amazon owner Jeff Bezos. The multi-billionaire businessman, 61, has hired much of the city of Venice, including multiple 5-star hotels, for what could prove to be the wedding of the century to long-time girlfriend Lauren, 55. The lavish three-day event featured a party held within the fabulous 15th-century Madonna dell'Orto church in Venice's quaint Cannareggio district last night. Dozens of the world's most exclusive celebrities have been pictured arriving in Venice over the last few days. A-listers Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Orlando Bloom jetted in to Italy earlier this week for the nuptials, which come two years after Bezos asked Sanchez to marry him on his $500 million superyacht. Lauren's ex-boyfriend, NFL star Tony Gonzalez, was also among them, along with son Nikko who he shares with the bride. Nikko was pictured waiting to catch a riverboat alongside Sydney Sweeney after departing the Madonna dell'Orto, where a reception was held. The couple dated in the early 2000s and welcomed their son in 2002 before splitting. Despite undergoing a rocky separation initially, during which Lauren and Tony threw cheating allegations at each other, the pair seems to have gotten over their tumultuous past. The NFL star and Lauren have since been spotted on numerous outings together, along with their new partners. Tony's new wife October Gonzalez is a close friend of Lauren's and even attended her bachelorette party in Paris last month. The group has also spent a considerable amount of time on Jeff's luxurious yacht. Lauren previously referred to Tony as one of her 'best friends' and gushed about their co-parenting style. 'It wasn't always that way. There was friction [at the beginning]. But Tony and [his wife October] were at Thanksgiving with us [this year], and we're really good friends,' she explained to the Wall Street Journal. 'That took about five years, but we always communicated. I'm not saying that being best friends with your ex is the end-all be-all - but you do need to be able to communicate. 'I'm so proud of it. My son looks at me, and he's like, "I'm the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents, and they don't have to be married."' She reaffirmed her commitment at a dinner with the Kardashians on Thursday night, sources say. Lauren Sanchez reportedly told the Kardashians she was 'living a fairytale' the night before her wedding to Jeff Bezos. According to La Repubblica, Sanchez was in a conversation with Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner at the Madonna dell'Orto last night. Whilst holding a glass of champagne, she was overheard telling the family: 'Girls, I'm living a fairytale. I'm on cloud nine in a wonderful city, with the man I love. I couldn't be happier.' The celebrations are well and truly underway with pre-wedding parties and events - although a slight dampener was put on proceedings last night after a severe thunderstorm left guests running for cover. There will be no such problem today, though, with forecasters expecting the city to reach 40C heat over the next two days. Around 90 private jets are set to land in local airports this week, bringing A-listers from show business, politics and finance. Venice City Hall issued a directive on Wednesday cordoning off the area, isolating guests from activists who have been protesting for weeks that the celebrations will turn the city of gondolas and palazzi into a private amusement park for the rich. Thursday night's star-studded soiree was brought to an early end due to the intense downpour; Sanchez and Bezos pictured leaving the party Torrential downpours and a strong wind left guests like Kim and Khloe Kardashian (pictured) soaked as they then dashed for water taxis which had been scrambled a good 45 minutes ahead of the midnight finish time Bezos, who remains the executive chair of e-commerce giant Amazon and sits at number 4 on Forbes' billionaires list, got engaged to Sanchez in 2023, four years after the collapse of his 25-year marriage to Mackenzie Scott. In preparation, security guards have now blocked off entrances to the closure where the party will be held, but what guests will first see when they arrive is the iconic bell tower covered in scaffolding. This has left locals speculating that Bezos may have booked the venue based on seeing pictures on Google without realising it is being repaired. The revelation comes just a day after MailOnline revealed how a careless wedding organiser had unwittingly leaked sensitive details of the VIP event to the media by being photographed carrying a printed guest list. Meanwhile, the fact that the huge wedding is taking place in one of the world's most vulnerable heritage sites has become so controversial that it is being angrily discussed in Italian parliament. This controversy intensified overnight as council chiefs ordered the blocking off of the canal running in front of the church for around 200 metres, with a landing point for boats closed off with red and white tape. The celebrations are kicked off on Thursday and are set to end on Saturday.

Lauren Sánchez's ex attends wedding to Jeff Bezos: Inside her past loves before billionaire romance
Before Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez found love and became one of the world's most talked-about couples, the Amazon founder and his soon-to-be bride each navigated their respective relationships — and their downfalls — over the past three decades in various ways. From friendly exes who co-parent to highly publicized — and expensive — divorces, both Bezos and Sánchez's lengthy relationship history proved to pave the way to what would become a fairytale romance for the ages. Though it's likely most of their exes won't be attending their lavish Italian wedding, Sanchez's ex-boyfriend and former Kansas City Chiefs player, Tony Gonzalez, is on deck to support the couple's nuptials. According to People, Gonzalez and his wife, October, will be attending the wedding festivities in Venice this week. Gonzalez and Sánchez share one son, Nikko, together. Sánchez and Gonzalez's wife October are "super close," the source said. October attended Sánchez's bachelorette party in May. Here's a look at the couple's past romantic relationships that helped pave their way to each other. Scott and Bezos wed in 1993 and share four children together. In 2019, the duo announced their divorce after 25 years of marriage. They settled shortly after. "Grateful to have finished the process of dissolving my marriage with Jeff with support from each other and everyone who reached out to us in kindness, and looking forward to next phase as co-parents and friends," MacKenzie wrote in her first tweet. "Happy to be giving him all of my interests in the Washington Post, Blue Origin, and 75 [percent] of our Amazon stock plus voting control of my shares to support his continued contributions with the teams of these incredible companies. Excited about my own plans. Grateful for the past as I look forward to what comes next." Bezos responded with a tweet of his own, thanking MacKenzie for her "support and kindness in this process." "I'm so grateful to all my friends and family for reaching out with encouragement and love. It means more than you know. MacKenzie most of all. I'm grateful for her support and for her kindness in this process and am very much looking forward to our new relationship as friends and co-parents." "In all our work together, MacKenzie's abilities have been on full display. She has been an extraordinary partner, ally, and mother. She is resourceful and brilliant and loving, and as our futures unroll, I know I'll always be learning from her," he concluded. Bezos didn't have a prenup with Scott, and the separation left her with a 4% stake in the online shopping giant, or around $36 billion at the time. "Bezos handled his first divorce as fast as an Amazon delivery," Christopher Melcher, an attorney and partner at Walzer Melcher & Yoda LLP, told Fox News Digital of Bezos' first marriage. "It was quick but not painless. Billions of dollars were at stake, which were earned during marriage and had to be split because there was no premarital agreement." Gonzalez and Sánchez began dating in 2000. They welcomed a son, Nikko Gonzalez, in February 2001. The pair called it quits in 2002, but have remained on good terms in the years following. Gonazelez, who has been married to his wife October since 2007, and Sánchez celebrated their son's graduation as a blended family in 2024. Sánchez previously opened up about her relationship with Gonzalez in a 2023 interview with The Wall Street Journal. "It wasn't always that way. There was friction [at the beginning]. But Tony and [his wife October] were at Thanksgiving with us [this year], and we're really good friends," she said. "That took about five years, but we always communicated. I'm not saying that being best friends with your ex is the end-all be-all — but you do need to be able to communicate. "I'm so proud of it. My son looks at me, and he's like, 'I'm the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents, and they don't have to be married.'" Sánchez was briefly engaged to "NYPD Blue" star Henry Simmons in the early 2000s. Not much is known about their relationship, but it was reported that Sánchez called off her engagement with Simmons shortly after meeting her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell. Patrick Whitesell and Sánchez tied the knot in 2005. They went on to have a son, Evan Whitesell, in 2006 and a daughter, Eleanor Whitesell, in 2008. After over a decade of marriage, the couple separated and filed for divorce. Sánchez allegedly signed a prenuptial agreement with Whitesell. According to TMZ, the former couple's assets and properties were divided per the agreement. According to People, celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser mediated the divorce agreement. Sanchez and Whitesell were married for 13 years before filing for divorce in April 2019. The divorce filing came just one day after Bezos finalized his separation from Scott. The Bezos-Sánchez wedding festivities officially kicked off as the couple landed in Venice, Italy on Wednesday. The soon-to-be newlyweds were seen arriving in Venice, Italy, via helicopter. Both were all smiles as they walked away from the air carrier arm-in-arm. Later, the couple were photographed arriving at the Aman Hotel via water-taxi. As she stepped off, a glowing Sanchez turned to the crowd to give a quick wave. According to multiple reports, the couple decided to change one of their wedding venues in Venice because of security concerns and possible protests. The couple had planned to hold a wedding party at the historic Scuola Grande della Misericordia in the Cannaregio section of the city, but are now said to be moving it to the harder-to-reach Arsenale, a former shipyard, which is completely surrounded by water and only reachable by boat when connecting bridges are raised, BBC News and Reuters reported. A number of celebrities are invited to the wedding festivities, which remain a secret but are expected to kick off on Thursday and end Saturday in the picturesque Italian city. Vanity Fair reported on Wednesday that the first event of the Bezoz-Sánchez wedding will be a kick-off party in Cannaregio. The outlet noted that the wedding party has water cabs ready to escort guests to the Italian city. A city ordinance has already been sent out, blocking off traffic from 6 PM to midnight between Madonna dell'Orto and nearby streets, the outlet reported. The party is reportedly being held in the Sant'Alvise complex, which is a 14th century church, monastery, and Barco. Per Vanity Fair, Bezos will be escorted by 10 bodyguards during the kick-off party and the Italian government has recruited reinforcements to maintain the privacy and safety of all attendees amid recent protests.
