Yonnyboii elated by collaboration with Malique

23 Jul – Yonnyboii recently admitted that he couldn't believe that he would have the chance to work with legendary rapper, Malique. The singer-songwriter, whose new song, "Tanya Tuhan" has been released since 19 July, said that he has always been a fan of the former Too Phat rapper, and had wanted to work with Malique for a long time. "It's crazy. I still can't digest the fact that we have a song together," he said. Yonnyboii, real name Muhammad Haqeem Nuriman, said that the collaboration will always be a significant memory in his career. "I am proud and humbled by the experiences I have achieved. This is one of my highest personal achievements, being able to work with someone so great. I thank my management for making my dreams a reality" he enthused. Speaking about the song, the singer said he was inspired by his own personal experiences of facing doubts and questions. "It wasn't that I was having a hard time. It was just that at the time, I was away from myself and very emotional. That is, sometimes we experience burnout and we don't know who else to talk to about it," he added. Joe Flizzow "always ready" for Too Phat reunion with Malique

21 Mar - Joe Flizzow has no issue at all reuniting with his fellow Too Phat member Malique if such an opportunity presents itself. The 46-year-old rapper, who was asked about it amid rumours that Malique will be making his comeback, said that it will all depend on "the general" himself. "Let's pray for it. If Malique sees this, it's all in your hands, bro. I am always ready. I am open to a collaboration. If you pay me RM1, I will still do it. Even if I am not paid, I will still do it. Even if I have to pay for it, I will still do it," he said. At the same time, he admitted that he has received a lot of offers to perform with Malique, but that it was just not the time. "I always say, money is not everything. Maybe the organiser thought a hefty pay would influence me," he added. As for rumours that Malique is making a comeback after he suddenly decided to open up his Instagram account, Joe said that he would rather not speculate. "But I think it would be special for the hip hop world because we miss his presence and his voice," he added. Malique decided to go MIA in the late 2000s after he and Joe went solo, nine years after they established Too Phat. (Photo Source: Malique IG, Joe IG)
