Morgan Wallen Notches Fourth Country Airplay No. 1 From ‘I'm the Problem' With ‘Just in Case'

Morgan Wallen logs his 18th No. 1 — and the fourth from his album I'm the Problem — on Billboard's Country Airplay chart as 'Just in Case' ascends two spots to the top of the survey dated July 12. The single surged 22% to 29.4 million audience impressions June 27-July 3, according to Luminate. The ballad becomes the fourth Country Airplay chart-topper among the 37 songs on Wallen's blockbuster I'm the Problem, which has led Top Country Albums and the Billboard 200 in its first six weeks of release. The title track dominated for eight weeks beginning in April, 'Love Somebody' ruled for three weeks in February, and 'Lies Lies Lies' led for a week last November. Notably, as we pass the halfway point this year, Wallen's latest Country Airplay No. 1 marks his third of 2025 — no other act has more than one. In 2024, he became the first artist to roll up five leaders in a single year since the list launched in 1990: 'Lies Lies Lies'; 'Cowgirls,' featuring Ernest; Post Malone's 'I Had Some Help,' featuring Wallen; 'Man Made a Bar,' featuring Eric Church, and Thomas Rhett's 'Mamaw's House,' featuring Wallen. Rhett's Milestone 25th Top 10 Speaking of Thomas Rhett, he claims his 25th Country Airplay top 10 with his co-authored 'After All the Bars Are Closed.' The single pushes 12-9 (19 million, up 15%). It follows 'Beautiful as You,' which hit No. 2 in November. His first top 10, 'It Goes Like This,' became his first of 20 No. 1s in October 2013. Bryan's Top 10 'Country Song' Luke Bryan scores his 37th Country Airplay top 10 as 'Country Song Came On' lifts 11-10 (18.1 million, up 8%). 'Love You, Miss You, Mean It' awarded the American Idol judge his prior top 10 (No. 2 last October). His rookie entry 'All My Friends Say' hit No. 5 in 2007, while 'Rain Is a Good Thing' became his first of 26 No. 1s in 2010. Bryan ties Reba McEntire for the 10th-most Country Airplay 10s (surpassing Garth Brooks' 36). Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and George Strait lead the pack with 61 each. Morgan Wallen's Entire Discography Sits Inside The Top 10 At Once

Morgan Wallen's entire albums discography — all four full-lengths — live inside the top 10 on ... More Billboard's Top Country Albums chart this week as If I Know Me rises. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - SEPTEMBER 23: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Morgan Wallen performs onstage during the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena on September 23, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) It's no surprise that Morgan Wallen rules the top country albums chart in the United States this week, as the singer-songwriter usually leads the charge on that genre-specific ranking. His latest full-length I'm the Problem debuted atop the Top Country Albums list six weeks ago and hasn't budged since — and it likely won't for quite a while. What is notable at the moment is that all of Wallen's full-lengths not only appear on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country projects, but they all live within the uppermost tier together. Morgan Wallen's Three-Peat As I'm the Problem keeps its iron-tight grip over the throne, it's followed closely by One Thing at a Time and Dangerous: The Double Album, as Wallen once again earns a three-peat and sits at Nos. 1, 2, and 3, respectively, on the Top Country Albums chart. He has managed that feat several times in a row now. Morgan Wallen Scores Four Top 10s This week is special for Wallen, and different from other recent frames where he's enjoyed owning the highest three spaces on the Top Country Albums chart. Wallen's debut project If I Know Me returns to the top 10, as it bounds from No. 12 to No. 8. It's incredibly rare for any artist to claim four top 10 albums on the same ranking at the same time – but Wallen isn't the average musical act. Morgan Wallen's Quartet of No. 1s All four of those Wallen albums have previously hit No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Dangerous has spent the most time at the summit, as it collected a historic 97 weeks running the show. One Thing at a Time led for 87 frames, and so far, I'm the Problem has racked up six stints on the throne. If I Know Me needed more than two years to jump to No. 1, and throughout its lifetime, it has only lived in that spot for two stays. If I Know Me Rises Across Several Billboard Charts If I Know Me is on the rise across all three of the Billboard charts on which it appears. In addition to the Top Country Albums tally, it also pushes north on both the Top Streaming Albums list and the Billboard 200. I'm the Problem, One Thing at a Time, and Dangerous are all largely steady from where they sat last time around. In addition to the Top Country Albums ranking, all three of those titles live inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and Top Streaming Albums charts as well.

Morgan Wallen, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift & More Artists With Most Weeks at No. 1 on Top Country Albums Chart: Full List

Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem leads Billboard's Top Country Albums chart (dated June 28) for a fifth week. This ups Wallen's career tally of weeks at No. 1 to 191. That allows him to extend his lead as the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 in the chart's 61-year history. More from Billboard Parker McCollum on Making His Rawest Record Yet: 'It Was the Album You Always Wondered If You Were Good Enough To Make' Going 'Deep': Prince Royce Dives to No. 1 on Latin Airplay Chart Country Singer Ronnie McDowell Rushed to Hospital After Onstage Medical Incident Wallen's achievement is especially impressive because he has amassed this hefty total of weeks at No. 1 in such a short amount of time. He first topped the chart on Aug. 15, 2020. Top Country Albums originated as Hot Country Albums in the Jan. 11, 1964 issue of Billboard. Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire (The Best of Johnny Cash) headed the inaugural chart. The compilation was well-timed: 'Ring of Fire' had headed Hot Country Songs for seven weeks the previous summer and had crossed over to reach the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. The chart was named Hot Country LP's from 1968 to 1984, when vinyl LPs were king. Twenty-one artists have logged 50 or more weeks at No. 1 on Top Country Albums. Male solo artists dominate, as you might expect, though three female solo artists have achieved the feat, as have two groups. (One of those groups is an all-female group.) Only one Black artist has amassed 50 or more weeks at No. 1, though that may change as country becomes more inclusive. Here's a look at all artists who have topped Top Country Albums for 50 or more week at No. 1: Oct. 14, 2000 Most recent week at No. 1: May 16, 2020 Longest-running No. 1: When the Sun Goes Down (14 weeks in 2004) Notes: Chesney's tally of No. 1 albums includes two live albums, LIVE: Live Those Songs Again (2006) and Live in No Shoes Nation (2017). First week at No. 1: July 27, 1996 Most recent week at No. 1: Feb. 17, 2001 Longest-running No. 1: Blue (28 weeks in 1996-97) Notes: Rimes' total includes a 1997 compilation of early recordings, Unchained Melody: The Early Years. Rimes was just 14 in February 1997 when she won a Grammy for best new artist. She remains the youngest winner ever in that category. First week at No. 1: Aug. 14, 1965 Most recent week at No. 1: May 4, 1968 Longest-running No. 1: My World (17 weeks in 1965-66) Notes: My World was the first country album to receive a Grammy nod for album of the year. The album included the crossover hit 'Make the World Go Away,' which all but defined the 'countrypolitan' sound. First week at No. 1: Feb. 10, 1968 Most recent week at No. 1: May 7, 1977 Longest-running No. 1: Wichita Lineman (20 weeks in 1968-69) Notes: Wichita Lineman is tied with Johnny Cash at San Quentin for the longest run at No. 1 of any album in the 1960s. Campbell's tally of No. 1 albums also includes Bobbie Gentry & Glen Campbell, a collab with the singer of 'Ode to Billie Joe.' The 1968 album was the first collaborative album to reach No. 1 on the chart. First week at No. 1: Dec. 10, 1966 Most recent week at No. 1: June 20, 2015 Longest-running No. 1: Pancho & Lefty (with Willie Nelson) (eight weeks in 1983) Notes: Haggard's tally of No. 1s includes eight albums on which his backing group, The Strangers, was also credited. Hag's tally includes three live albums, Okie From Muskogee (1970), The Fightin' Side of Me (1970)and I Love Dixie Blues … So I Recorded 'Live' in New Orleans (1973). Johnny Cash at San Quentin (which received a Grammy nod for album of the year) has had the longest run at No. 1 of any live album. It is also tied with Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman as the longest-running No. 1 album of the 1960s. Cash also reached No. 1 with two other live albums – Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison (1968) and The Johnny Cash Show (1970), which was recorded at the Grand Ole Opry. He also topped the chart with a 1985 collab LP with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson and with two posthumous albums – American V: A Hundred Highways (2006) and Out Among the Stars (2014). First week at No. 1: Jan. 25, 1964 Most recent week at No. 1: April 20, 1968 Longest-running No. 1: I've Got a Tiger by the Tail (15 weeks in 1965) Notes: Owens' first No. 1 album, Buck Owens Sings Tommy Collins (1964), was a tribute album to the singer/songwriter whose biggest hits included 'You Better Not Do That' and 'If You Can't Bite, Don't Growl.' Owens' tally of No. 1 albums includes two live albums, Carnegie Hall Concert (1966) and Buck Owens and His Buckaroos in Japan! (1967). First week at No. 1: Feb. 18, 1984 Most recent week at No. 1: April 13, 2019 Longest-running No. 1s: Ocean Front Property (six weeks in 1987) and Carrying Your Love With Me (six weeks in 1997) Notes: Strait made this list the hard way – without a single album that logged more than six weeks at No. 1. Strait's tally of No. 1 albums includes the 1992 soundtrack to Pure Country, in which he starred. First week at No. 1: Jan. 30, 1999 Most recent week at No. 1: Aug. 8, 2020 Longest-running No. 1: Fly (36 weeks in 1999-2000) Notes: The Chicks, formerly Dixie Chicks, are the second-highest ranking group on this list. Three of the group's No. 1 albums – Fly, Home and Taking the Long Way – received Grammy nods for album of the year. The latter album won the award. The group's most recent No. 1 album, Gaslighter, was bumped from the top spot by the debut album by a promising newcomer named Morgan Wallen. First week at No. 1: Sept. 6, 1975 Most recent week at No. 1: June 14, 1986 Longest-running No. 1: Greatest Hits (16 weeks in 1979) Notes: Jennings' tally of No. 1 albums includes three collabs with Nelson – one just with Nelson; one that also included Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser; and one that included Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson as well. That title should probably be The Rest of Our Lives, but we're not going to correct the grammar of someone who has logged 76 weeks at No. 1. First week at No. 1: Aug. 9, 1986 Most recent week at No. 1: Nov. 24, 1990 Longest-running No. 1: Always & Forever (43 weeks in 1987-88) Notes: Always & Forever had the longest run at No. 1 of any album in the 1980s. Notes: The albums referenced above were No. 1 back-to-back and spent a combined total of 32 consecutive weeks at No. 1. Now, that's what you call dominating a chart. Both albums contained Pride's signature song, 'Kiss an Angel Good Mornin.'' Pride's final No. 1 album, There's a Little Bit of Hank in Me (1980), was a tribute to Hank Williams. Pride is the only Black artist on this list so far. First week at No. 1: June 24, 2017 Most recent week at No. 1: July 9, 2022 Longest-running No. 1: This One's for You (50 weeks in 2017-18) Notes: This One's for You had the longest run at No. 1 of any album in the week at No. 1: July 22, 1995 Most recent week at No. 1: Oct. 21, 2017 Longest-running No. 1: Come on Over (50 weeks in 1997-2000) Notes: Twain is the second-highest ranking female solo artist on this list. It received a Grammy nod for album of the year, and spawned two song of the year nominees, 'You're Still the One' and 'You've Got a Way.' First week at No. 1: May 21, 1977 Most recent week at No. 1: April 4, 2020 Longest-running No. 1: Kenny (25 weeks in 1979-80) Notes: Kenny, which housed the hit 'You Decorated My Life,' had the longest run at No. 1 of any album in the 1970s. Longest-running No. 1: Fearless (35 weeks in 2008-09) Notes: Swift is the highest-charting female solo artist on this list, which is especially impressive given her mid-career pivot to pop. Her tally includes both the original and Taylor's Version's editions of Fearless, Speak Now and Red. With Fearless, Swift became the youngest Grammy winner for album of the year to that point, a title now held by Billie Eilish. First week at No. 1: Oct. 4, 1975 Most recent week at No. 1: May 20, 2017 Longest-running No. 1: Always on My Mind (22 weeks in 1982) Notes: Nelson's tally includes a collab with Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser; another with Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson; another with just Jennings, and two with Haggard. Notes: Alabama is the highest-ranking group on this list. Feels So Right (in May 1981) was the first No. 1 by a group that wasn't named after its leader. (So, we're discounting Merle Haggard and the Strangers, Sonny James and the Southern Gentlemen and The Charlie Daniels Band.) Alabama's tally of No. 1 albums includes a 1988 live album, Alabama Live. Taylor Swift's Albums Return To The Charts — And A Surge Is Coming

On Friday (May 30), Taylor Swift announced to the world that she has finally purchased the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums. The news was heralded as a triumph for the singer-songwriter, who has long been engaged in a public spat with various companies — and most notably supermanager Scooter Braun — to gain control over the work that made her a global superstar. Even before her revelation, Swift's catalog was growing in popularity thanks to anticipation surrounding a project that may never see the light of day — one fans have been eager to hear. The musician was expected to announce Reputation (Taylor's Version) at the American Music Awards – at least according to Swifties – but that didn't come to pass. Still, the mere thought of her giving the project a street date was enough to help several of her collections climb the Billboard charts. This week, multiple Swift projects return to different rankings as interest in her work grows yet again. Two of Swift's full-lengths reappear on Billboard rankings in the United States. While the pair of titles don't experience any crossover success, consumption grew enough to bring them back to the lower reaches of one tally apiece. The higher-ranking of the two is Lover, which finds its way back to the Top Streaming Albums chart. That tally, which ranks only the studio efforts that collect the most plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and others, sees the 2019 pure pop set reenter at No. 48. Fearless (Taylor's Version) is a winner once again on the Top Country Albums chart. The re-recorded and re-released take on Fearless lands in last place, at No. 50, on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country-only efforts in the nation. Lover also finds space on the Billboard 200, where it ranks as Swift's second-highest rising at the moment title out of seven placements. Fearless (Taylor's Version), which previously conquered that ranking, doesn't manage to perform well enough to earn a spot on the tally this time. Nine of Swift's albums appear on at least one Billboard chart this week. Seven of them live on the Billboard 200, a handful place on the Top Country Albums ranking, and just one also finds space on both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums tallies. Multiple collections performed well enough to live on the Top Streaming Albums roster. Next week will likely be huge for the singer-songwriter, as sales and streams of all six of her earliest works have skyrocketed in the days following her major announcement.

Morgan Wallen Claims The Top Two Country Albums In America — And He's About To Score A New No. 1

In just a few days, Morgan Wallen will hit No. 1 on several of Billboard's albums rankings, as his new full-length I'm the Problem is expected to score one of the largest debuts of 2025. It will certainly conquer the Top Country Albums chart, where it could reign for months — or even well over a year — as several of his past efforts have. Just ahead of earning another chart-topper, Wallen is already dominating the tally, and he doesn't only control the No. 1 spot, either. As the genre's biggest star at the moment, Wallen currently claims the top two spots on the roster. The Billboard tally ranks the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the style, blending both sales and streaming data. It's not unusual for Wallen to appear near the summit — or even land at No. 1 — but the fact that he occupies the uppermost two positions simultaneously, just ahead of earning a new leader, is impressive. This frame, One Thing at a Time remains at No. 1, while Dangerous: The Double Album steps up from No. 3 to No. 2. That latter set swaps spots with Where I've Been Isn't Where I'm Going by Shaboozey. One Thing at a Time has now spent 86 weeks at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Dangerous lived at the top even longer. It needs just three more stays on the throne to reach 100 frames leading the tally. Both projects have lived on the list for years, and One Thing at a Time has racked up more stays at No. 1 than not. Wallen's longest-charting project on the Top Country Albums list is If I Know Me, his debut full-length. At the moment, that effort sits at No. 14, dropping ever so slightly, but it could climb back into the top 10 in a few days when Billboard refreshes the ranking – when I'm the Problem is all but guaranteed to launch at No. 1. If I Know Me earned Wallen his first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums tally back in August 2020. It has now spent just two turns in the top spot out of 362 weeks on the list — well over 100 more than Dangerous, his second-longest-running success.
