Taylor Swift fans think they know title of her next album due to 'Easter eggs'

It's been 14 months since Taylor Swift released her double album, The Tortured Poets Department - and now fans believe they've spotted clues as to the title of it's follow-up record It's been more than a year since Taylor Swift released any new music - her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department wowed fans in April 2024 as The Eras Tour reached Europe. Since then, the American superstar has put her relationships with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy behind her, and found love with American football star, Travis Kelce. Fans had hoped the romance would quickly inspire the 35-year old to pen new material, particularly as Tortured Poets Department came so soon on the back of her previous record, Midnights. However, nothing has been forthcoming since Taylor embarked on a well earned break after performing a staggering 152 dates around the world. ‌ Now, however, fans believe they have spotted a number of " Easter eggs", which point to the name of her 12th album and its imminent release. ‌ Taking to TikTok, super fan Britton Rae said she's "calling it now" as she suggested the Shake It Off singer's album will be titled 'Postcards' and be released in August. "We all know Taylor Swift's website had a bit of a rebrand - the font is new, the colour of the site is new with blue and white, and she came out with a summer collection," Britton began in a video. Britton elaborated on her theory: "With this collection, if you bought anything you could get these postcards - two are in black and white one is in colour. Tortured Poets Department was a very black and white aesthetic album, and the only music video we got from it was in black and white - and perhaps these two photos relate to it being a double album." Britton went on to ponder that perhaps the colour image signifies the impending "new era - leaving the black and white behind and stepping into a new era of colour into the daylight". She also highlighted the new font on the back of the postcard, whilst a QR code takes you to the Bad Blood singer's website, which states 'Discover more'. "It could be saying discover more merch, but perhaps it's literally saying 'more' is coming," Britton said, before telling viewers she'd seen a Reddit discussion in which it had been proposed that 'Postcards' would be a collection of memories she had made on tour. ‌ "Just think about what this could be mean - each postcard could be a letter to her fans back home and all of her listeners," Britton added. "It makes perfect sense to me because there is some level of continuity that Taylor Swift maintains throughout all her eras. "We can think of so many songs where she has said something along the lines of writing letters - it's common for her to refer to her songs as letters. She's done it before, so what if she's going to lean into that for an entire era?" As an example, Britton referred to the fact that the last song on Midnights is Hits Different, which ends with the lyrics, 'Have they come to take me away?' - with follow-up, Tortured Poets Department beginning with Fortnight's, 'I was supposed to be sent away/ But they forgot to come and get me'. ‌ "Fortnight was the first single featuring who? Post Malone," Britton said. "Post. And in The Manuscript, in the very last verse it says, 'The only thing that's left is the manuscript/One last souvenir from my trip to your shores' - and what is a common souvenir? Postcards!" Britton closed: "There's just too many Easter eggs that are making this make a lot of sense to me." Another fan agreed in response: "THIS is an easter egg that makes sense, not the other ones that involve complicate and nonsense maths." A second pondered: "What if Postcards is the live recordings of the acoustic surprise songs?" A third praised: "This is a beautiful theory." And a fourth concurred: "I think this is the best theory I've heard from anyone."

Taylor Swift fans convinced Matt Healy took swipe at her on stage at Glastonbury – did you spot it?

TAYLOR Swift fans have become convinced her ex Matty Healy took a veiled swipe at the star while on stage at Glastonbury. Frontman Matty appeared with his band The 1975 to headline Glastonbury's main Pyramid Stage on Friday night – something the singer has long-declared a lifelong goal. However, during his set, Matty took a moment to seemingly address the elephant in the room: his short-lived relationship with Taylor Swift. Ahead of their hit song Chocolate, Matty told the audience: "I want to be sincere for a second with everybody. "What this moment is making me realise is that, and I'm being sincere, I probably am the best. I'm probably the best songwriter of my generation. Advertisement "The best, what do we say… A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am. A generational wordsmith." Many took the cheeky jab at himself to be a swipe at Taylor Swift's 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, which is long believed to be about their relationship. Matty and Taylor are believed to have dated from March to May in 2023, before splitting. In lyrics on the album, Taylor made several allusions to a mystery man who broke her heard, at one point saying he "smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate". Advertisement The titular track also refers to the man using a typewriter - which Matty has gone on record to using. Seeming to confirm he was the man behind the songs, Matty finished his speech on the stage at Glastonbury by "reminding people of his poetry" by going into their song Chocolate. The 1975's Matty Healy slammed by fans for performing with pint and a fag as parents ban kids from watching_1 He further mocked himself and the song's non-sensical lyrics by having jumbled subtitles play overhead as they played. Since Matty and Taylor's split, both have gone to have long-term relationships. Advertisement Matty is now engaged to model Gabbriette, with the pair sharing the news in June 2024. Matty Healy References Taylor Swift At Glastonbury

Of course, you remember that Taylor Swift and the 1975 frontman Matty Healy briefly dated in 2023 — like, for literally just one month. Felt like a lot longer, didn't it? If you're a Swiftie, you know that her latest album The Tortured Poets Department contained what people believed to be multiple references to Matty in specific. One of those took place in the literal title track, in which she sang, 'You left your typewriter at my apartment / Straight from the Tortured Poets Department / I think some things I never say / Like, 'Who uses typewriters anyway?'' So, last night the 1975 headlined the UK's massive Glastonbury festival. During the band's set, Matty made some comments that some took to be a thinly-veiled dig at Taylor. 'What this moment is making me realize is that I probably am the best," he said. "I'm probably the best songwriter of my generation. The best, what do we say… A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am.' Innnnnnteresting. Of course, the internet had reactions: OK, but what do YOU think? Let us know in the comments.

In a video posted on the event's official Instagram, the couple are seen walking onto the carpet, holding hands and smiling. The event captioned the video: 'Tight end era.' Fans of the couple immediately took to social media to share their excitement. 'This so significant as Taylor has NEVERRR walked with a partner on a red carpet before, Travis is lucky af,' one fan commented about the debut. 'This is the stuff dreams are made of,' another said. 'SOO sweet that their red-carpet debut was at a special work event rather than some huge award show'. The pair walked the carpet at the Tight End University event after 2 years together. According to their website, the program aims to have attendees 'bond, collaborate with and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, and rehabilitation'. Are Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter Collaborating? These Fan Theories Think So

If Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter's music tops your Spotify Wrapped at the end of each year, you're probably hoping for the day the singer-songwriters jump on a song together. The Tortured Poets Department artist has previously dropped music with Gracie Abrams, another Eras Tour opener who works with one of Tay's go-to producers, Aaron Dessner. On top of being good friends and past tourmates, Taylor and Sabrina have also found a frequent collaborator in Jack Antonoff. That being said, the concept isn't entirely far-fetched. While neither of the Grammy winners has explicitly hinted or confirmed anything, Swifties and Carpenters have already started sharing their guesses across social media. Could a Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter collaboration finally be on the way? These fan theories make quite the case... Taybrina truthers, rise! A lot of fans pointed out similarities in recent social posts from the stars, which could potentially point to a collab. We all know Tay loves her Easter eggs, and as Sabrina's star rises, she's started employing them, too... That's that me, separate, unrelated announcements from the pop stars. When Taylor revealed that she officially owns her entire music catalog on May 31, there were small coffee-stained details on a social post promoting her letter. Aaand when Sabrina announced her Short n' Sweet follow-up, Man's Best Friend, on June 11, her newsletter also included a coffee-stained ring: It could simply be a there's a slim chance that it's not. Dare we say it's giving 'five holes in the fence'? The same day Sabrina dropped the news about her upcoming album, Taylor Nation shared that Tay released a new merch collection inspired by her catalog. Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that both stars have new logos on their websites—Sabrina for her new era, and Taylor for her merch drop. However, another Swiftie shared that Taylor has been using the cursive 'S' in design elements since 2023. It may be June, but Taylor's official fan account used her song 'August' in the above announcement. Some fans figured it could point to a collaboration with Sabrina, as the 'Manchild' singer shared that Man's Best Friend is set to drop on August 29. Neither Taylor nor Sabrina has weighed in on whether they're collaborating yet, but we'll be waiting here and holding out for a joint effort from the blondies.
