NEET-UG 2025: NTA declares results of 75 students; aspirants to move SC
INDORE: The National Testing Agency (
NTA
) declared the results of 75 NEET-UG 2025 aspirants on Monday evening.
The results were uploaded on the official website at 6 PM, and students were also notified individually via email.
The counselling process for these candidates is expected to begin from July 21.
These students had earlier approached the Madhya Pradesh High Court, citing disruption caused by power outages during the NEET-UG exam held on May 4. A single-judge bench had initially ordered a re-test; however, following an appeal by the NTA, a division bench later set aside that order and directed the agency to release the students' pending results.
However, the declared scores have left many students and parents disappointed. Several claimed the scores were far below expectations based on the students' consistent performance in mock tests.
Sachin Garg, father of NEET aspirant Tanishka Garg, said, 'The score was around 25% less than what we expected as per her preparations. She had been scoring more than 600 in the mock tests but the scores she got now is approx 520.'

NEET-UG is conducted for a total of 720 marks, based on 180 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Ritesh Agarwal, father of another candidate, shared similar concerns. 'These students had been scoring well in the mock tests and the scores they had got are low. Many of these students were capable of securing admission in premier institutes like AIIMS, but given their current scores, they may now have to settle for government colleges that may not be as reputed," he said.
he students—primarily from Indore and Ujjain—are now planning to move the
Supreme Court
. According to their legal counsel Mradul Bhatnagar, the students believe the power outage had unfairly impacted their performance and they are seeking a more just resolution.
